First Time Fluxing

I definitely mixed up my WW numbers in post 53. That is WW2 (second to be topped and actually fimmed). Anyways, the real WW1 is the first to show pistils. I couldn't get a good picture but I tried. Here's where she is at currently.

Impressive. I dont know how you make them bend like that. Ive snapped off many colas trying to bend them 1/4 of what your doing. Cant wait to see how these turn out. Very cool

I've been impressed with these plants so far. I will say the white widow is extremely flexible. I did break one off on the NL.

I have been seeing silica (I think that's it?) popping up in various threads and I want to learn more about using that. From what I understand, it should help make the LST training go smoother with the plant being a bit more forgiving.

Silica actually makes stems stiffer! It as silicate to the cell wall making them more resistant to bending, which is why folks with stretchy plants will sometimes add silica to their nutes in early flower.

Franco update. I started trying down the growth tips. I'm taking it easier at first as I have not worked with this plant much yet. So far she seems pretty willing to bend. I'll have to cut the fan leaves eventually but I want to keep them for a little longer.

A quick update. I am getting ready to top the Pineapple express and I am thinking I will fim it at the 4th node. WW1 and NL are showing preflowers so I think they will be soon done growing out and will start growing up. WW2 is about a week behind but happy. Sorry about the color, I tried to dial back the red and blues but it isn't the best. Happy Sunday!

Looking amazing Modest! I have a pack of 5 auto Aquamista’s that I would like to run at some point so I will definitely be following your journal! Keep up the awesome documentation!

Thanks for following purple! Thanks PC, I figured I would top and train some autos to dust off the rust before trying to flux Franco. It also keeps things interesting during the long and slow grow.

I am loving this new setup for fluxing Franco. I have side door access in the tent so I can reach the cooler easily. The green garden ties tie down the growth tips and the rack gives me a level mounting point.

I'm also very happy with this led light from my kitchen. It's like 100w maybe and Franco is always praying. My main LED is perfect for the rest of the 4x4 but I think needed help to fill the tent.

Here's the first few garden ties on Franco. I removed the strings and glad that I did.

Hay MG silica added with each watering 5ml. Per gal. I can tie my stems in nots
without breakage! Makes cell walls stronger too. I found one that’s made for hidro
but works great with soil, rhino skin they turned me on to it at the supply house
years ago no more splits, or broken branches for me.

Awesome! I will definitely be picking up some rhino skin to experiment with. Thanks for the info, Bud!
