First Grow White Widow Auto Flower Feminized Soil

Hey guys,
We are at fourteen days and a half. Skipped watering the plants last night. Gave them a heavy misting this morning under the plant. Will switch to only giving them one heavy misting in morning and see how that goes. Humidity at 60%, temperature at 25.1 C (77.18). Noticing growth on two plants. Gave them all about 400 Ml of water in total. PH was 6.72.

The quote you posted out of the guide is good and I would agree don't spray twice a day but even at once the plants are getting bigger and soon you will be using a watering can, just try feel if the soil is moist before adding more. Everything else is beautiful, someone will come tell you that having the water closer to a 6 for soil would be better, they would not be wrong

Hey ,
Thanks for the tip. Sorry I made mistake, PH was 6.72. I’ll follow your watering advice and water once a day. I bought a watering wand to water the plants with. It oxygenate s the water more.

Put the spray bottle down, seedlings are producing leaves, time to start treating them like little plants.

Hey guys,
I checked on the plants this morning. I checked the soil using the moisture meter and it showed dry. Did the finger test and was kind of moist so I skipped watering them. Will water tonight, which will be a day and a half since last watering. Humidity at 59%, temperature at 25.9 C ( 78.62 F). Noticing growth on two of plants. One of the plants is bending a bit, not sure if I should support it with stick or leave it for now since I will be using LST. Here are updated photos. Took two pictures of each plant.

The moisture meters I have seen have said half dry from soaking wet soil lol. They are going to start growing faster as their roots expand in the pot. I did not see any that were bent to much but definitely prop it up a little if you want, in the past I have also tried blowing on seedling in opposite direction of bend to strengthen the stem naturally and show her you are watching her and sharing CO2. Looking great :passitleft:

Yeah I don’t think this moisture meter works properly lol. Waste of $20. I’ll test the soil using it after next big watering.

Hey guys,
We are at 18 days now. For some reason my humidity is staying around 55% when I have it set at 65%. I Increased the power on my humidifier. Temperature was at 24.1 C (75.38F). Haven’t watered the plants in two days. Soil is kind of dry but I’m holding off on watering till tomorrow morning. Here are updated pictures:

I think you seen the ol pinky poke is the cheapest and most reliable, second only to picking up the pot to feel for the weight of it

Sounds like you are on the right track and the ladies are coming along nicely

First grows are exciting and a learning experience. One thing I see with this grow is the initial pot size. Normally a seed is planted in a small container first. I use a seeding tray much like the ones you see when you buy tomato plants for your garden at your local garden shop. Why? The seedling grows faster when the roots have less room. They can pick up moisture and nutrients from the medium faster and develop a root system. In a large container at that early stage they are not concentrating on growing they are using precious energy to find build a root system. Without a strong root they stall out. Exactly what your seeing right now. Watering in the small container is a no brainier. Soak the medium and wait. No misting or any of that. When they dry out soak again and wait. Within days you'll see roots at the bottom of the trays. Time to replant....16oz cups are great. Bury the seedling stem so just 1/3 of the stem is above the soil.
Again, same song n dance. Soak n wait...soak n wait. By the time you see roots poking out at the bottom once more that stem you buried deep has developed even more roots and you now have a strong root system. The backbone of any plant on the planet. When time between soaking the medium begins to become less before it dries out it is time to move up to a larger pot now. At that point you can go into your final pot size. The roots will be established and have the power and energy needed to go deep into the medium. I hope that all makes sense to you. If not ask questions. Try this on your next grow and see if you get better results. Im betting you will. It will take you a time or two to get into what works for you. Best part is your here and we're not going to let you fail. Youve joined a great community.

Hey,
Thanks for the tip. The reason I planted in the final container is because I’m growing auto flowers. Everything I read recommends planting in final container but I’ll give one plant a shot in my next grow.

Hi guys,
18 days and a half now. My humidity was really low at 39%. Humidifier ran out of water overnight because I increased the humidity on it. This is becoming an annoyance. Might look into a bigger humidifier for next grow. Temperature was at 24.1 C ( 75.38 F). Gave them a watering this morning before going to work.

Even the little one is showing improvement and growth :ganjamon: I agree with JimJonesJr I always plant in something really small then into a medium and then final pot and for the same reason, to let the root ball build up really thick and strong.

Edit I forgot this was auto flower, auto I did small and then final pot but did not wait for roots to bundle up in the small, once I seen a couple roots I up potted

And auto flower has the same root system wouldn't you think? The only real difference is they flower immediately verses the veg period of a fem or reg seed. I know the seed companies say start them in the pot they will end in to avoid repot stress. Repot stress is very minimal if done properly. Just my thoughts to share. I hope your lil ones take off soon.
