First Grow! Stealth Stereo Cabinet CFL Bagseed Attempt

Time for an update, not sure if anyone is still following my journal but here it goes.

First, the clone is looking a bit better and the new growth is starting to take off from the topped portion.

Ayasha is in stasis and doesn't do much, I wonder if anything will ever happen or if she will just die.

The mushrooms grow well though.

Xena is doing great as would be expected from a warrior princess.

Inner branches starting to grow, hoping to take one as a clone and flower it to sex.

These next pictures show the new growth, seems to have become more sativa looking. Much more than my old plant at least.

And if there is anyone still keeping up with this or just coming across it, please leave a comment. :)

Looking good! Nice mushrooms lol... Do you know what your pH levels are?

I feel you on the heat. I wouldn't worry too much if your in the mid-low 80s. Try not to let them get above 90. Keep up the good work!

So long as those mushrooms are magic, I am all about them growing tall and fast.
That is awesome, but the real plants look very good for the most part. Xena caught my attention and know that she will for many. Cool name too, :goodluck:

I had a question regarding the bottom fan leaves on Xena, the yellowing is normal correct? I know I already removed the single leaflet fan leaves after they dried out. Or is there some sort of deficiency I should worry about? It is only on those bottom leaves and not any of the new growth which is why I figure its fine.

Reefa Cheefa, I know my pH levels should be ~7, at least they were last I checked. I only have some crap strips I had laying around at home since this is pretty budgeted. I plan to hopefully upgrade a few things after the summer. I think that the pH may be a little off though now to think of it as the plants haven't been thriving like my old one.

Just in my limited knowledge, the Ph could be the problem there with the lower leaves turning yellow.
All I can say is that mine aren't yellow, the original 2 leaves , the small ones are still on my plants, although they are almost all gone, i left them there to the end on advice from more experienced growers. I have also heard the removing anything is a bad idea unless 2/3 rds of the leave is in bad shape. Hope this helps.

Next time I water I will check the pH of the run-off and see what that is at. I need to just bite the bullet and invest in a meter :/

Until then, here is some more nug porn.

Just got this Trainwreck today, it smells so strong, it has an almost spicy pine aroma. Tastes like something I can't even describe. Delicious and Forest are the 2 words I would have to use. High is not the normal 'wrecked' feeling although I haven't smoked this one by itself yet so I will update tomorrow.

Also have been smoking this Super Silver Haze. It has a very nice skunky smell with a subtle note of fruitiness to it. Smokes very smooth and tastes great with an awesome cerebral high.

sweet, this is stuff you just bought. Got any photos of finished blueberry kush???????
This nug is sweet and we can only try to achieve that awesomeness!!!!

I have a picture of some Blue Dream which is Blueberry X Haze. I also had some Blue Dream crossed with something I'm not sure of. Both had awesome blueberry flavor and great sativa high. They also looked pretty similar, picture should be on page 2 and I will put up a few more tomorrow. Bed for now.

I bought a digital pH meter for 40$, it works good enough for me. I don't have the money to buy a 200 dollar one quite yet.

I agree with 01, I think the yellowing could be a pH issue. Maybe the mushrooms have a negative effect on the soil? I have no idea, I don't know that much about soil.

So I have been thinking about my problems more and more and the only explanation I can think of is either the seeds were not the best or the pH is messed up pretty bad. Out of the 11 seeds I did plant the 2 worst looking ones to see if they were fertile. I don't know why Ayasha would be so small unless maybe there is a nute lock out from bad pH and she can't grow. Xena also hasn't had the same full, vigorous growth as Pandora had. And the reason I think pH is because I used to use store bought, bottled water with a neutral pH and now I am using tap water with a half ass measured ~7 pH (could be something crazy). Let me know what you think.:reading420magazine:

Good news! Xena is looking way better and showing rapid growth. The LST has caused quite a lot of branching so she is beginning to become a bush.

Here is a picture of Xena's stem that has been supercropped.
P1020770_Medium_.JPG

I took a picture of the leaves that were yellowing, this one had some purple to it. I removed the 2 very yellow leaves after taking the pictures because there was a bit of something growing on the ends.
P1020762_Medium_.JPG

Also, does the purple on the stems indicate a deficiency or is it from too much light?

Ayasha has been roughly the same size all her life but refuses to die...

The clone of Pandora is looking nice with the 2 new tops growing.

A group shot of everyone in the cab. Note: I added a 26W 2700K CFL on the left side of the cabinet so Xena is surrounded by 3 lights.

And a look at a tasty nug of Trainwreck I got yesterday

:thumb::thumb: Excellent topping job my friend! The girls are looking good :cheertwo: I don't know why she is yellowing like that, maybe someone with more knowledge would be able to tell you.

Update time; I entered that nug into the Nug of the Month contest ;) it really is a powerful smoke, every time I have had trainwreck it is like that. This one is just the best I have had. But on to the babies.

Xena is really throwing out a lot of growth, I am not too worried about her at this point. Only concern is the slight yellowing of the oldest leaves, it has to be some sort of nutrient lock out. I have been trying to correct for my tap water pH by only watering with bottled water again but I need to go to the store. Only other thing is I am pretty sure there is a bit of Ca in my water (hard water) so I have heard adding epsom salts will correct that imbalance?

Here is Ayasha, she is looking to be starting on the 3rd set of leaves. Does anyone know why this plant can be stunted so bad? I have heard of runts but this is pretty bad, could it be associated with the possible pH/hard water problems?

Here is a shot showing the light set up for the moment and everyone.
