First Grow! Stealth Stereo Cabinet CFL Bagseed Attempt

No, the only thing its useful for is collecting the pollen to breed with, but its bagseed, so theres no real reason to... you don't know any of its characteristics when its a female and buds, so theres no real reason to even bother with it.

Hack it up and call it a day.

Bummer. Thanks for the info. Maybe I will save a few fan leaves in a book. I guess I will rearrange my box for these babies now.

Again, realized when I didn't repost those pictures there were pictures of my new grow cab. Here is how I arranged the lights. Picture with light off and then close up of lights.

Dang, sorry to see the balls everywhere...just chop it down and start over, it sucks but it's really not worth expending the time and energy on unless you want to collect the pollen and breed.

New setup looks good...the bulb on the left looks a bit too low but I also see some shorter assorted plants in the foreground that are mostly clipped off. Don't feel too bad dude, my first three plants were all male lol

Sorry bout the male bro. But I'm liking the cab. Different lights for different hights.

Looks like Slappy got the early call on this one. When he showed me I had to agree. It had a male look to it. Sorry for the bad news but at least you learned something to go forward with.

Keep at it.

Thanks for the support, it was tough having to axe it. I ended up counting 16 potential 'bud' sites in the end so the LST kicked some major ass.

Here is a picture with most of the larger fan leaves chopped off. Stem was super thick.

Seedling that is 5 days old is looking good and the other seed hasn't popped yet but I threw it in some soil and figured I would just wait till it came up.

I reorganized some things so the plants are right on the big lights and threw in my 6500k bulbs to veg these seedlings. Keep a look out for grow #2 soon even though it is already under way.

sorry dude, It was a great, healthy looking plant though.
You should have no problem doing it again...this time pick your seed wisely...I like to stay away from the real fat ones and go for the seeds on the smaller side....

No real proof that it makes a difference but those are the seeds that scream female to me I guess:yummy:

Damn, just found this grow... That boy was looking real nice until he flashed his nuts... That recently happened to me, I ordered blueberry feminized seeds and both of the seeds I planted turned out to be males... Also I had 3 bagseeds going that all turned out to be female, and then I took too long to chop the males down and they sexed up my girls. Normally I would be pissed because I have seeds in my bud, but I'm actually happy because now I have some bagseed crossed with blueberry seeds:ganjamon:

Keep up the good work, that LST job was pro!! :welldone:

Glad you thought I did a good job; I really did a lot of research into different kinds of mediums, training, lighting, etc. Although I had to make a budget grow I think it turned out rather well and can't wait to see how the seedling is doing. I am out of town for a couple days, I transplanted into a larger container to retain more moisture and watered just before I left. Still debating on whether to make a new grow post or not, since I never harvested.

:bongrip:

Larger containers can retain more water...however if the root system is not developed enough to take advantage of it then it's not really going to help. However unless it's really warm in there causing it to aspirate a lot I wouldn't worry about it for the few days you're gone.

As for a new journal that's up to you...this is only four pages so far so it wouldn't be too bad. On the other hand some people never change journals...whatever floats the boat in your moat :)

Haven't been around in a few days, so busy. The babies are looking great though. I have kept up with pictures just haven't had the time to put a nice post together.

Neutrino, that was the exact reason I transplanted. The pots they were in would dry up if I didn't water them every day. I only lost a small basil plant while I was gone since the new seedling didn't show till I came back. Now everything is in a decent sized container and I only have to water every 2 or 3 days now.

I had success with my home made bubble cloner. Had roots probably at about a week in and this is what it looks like at 10 days.

Now it is a male so I will just be throwing it out until these seedlings are large enough to pull a clone off. I may try to sex with clones depending on how quickly I can get it established.

There are two different seedlings, both from the same unknown strain of 'dank' bagseed. Oddly enough both seedlings had problems it seems when germinating. When the sprout hit the surface it had a hard time removing the seed casing and damaged the cotyledons. Doesn't seem to have affected the plant much although the larger one has a strange shape to one half of the leaves. Too early to tell on the smaller one.

First the larger of the two seedlings. I believe it is 12 days old. (Pretty bad when I don't even know when I planted things, 12 days is what I could determine from photos I had.)

Here is the second seedling, 2-3 days old only. I transplanted it out of the 1'' clay pot since that was drying out way quickly. One of the cotyledons actually broke but seems to be fine.

I will probably do updates every few days until shit starts happening. And as always I love comments and suggestions. And one last picture of my current smoke, it is a Blue Dream cross. It is very similar in taste to Blue Dream with a bowl of fruit loops flavor and nice sativa high. I just wish I knew what it was crossed with.

Last night I did a bit of rearranging my grow area and was able to get my plants closer to the lights. Need to figure out a better way to raise and lower the plants now that the lights are in a fixed position. I have been using random boxes and tape rolls etc to prop underneath pots.

Anyways, I have a few pictures from this morning. First up is Xena, the warrior princess. ;)

And the little one, Ayasha.

I was also surprised at how much the new roots on the clone from Pandora grew over night! I might throw the clone outside and see what happens since it is a male.

Let me know what ya think! :ganjamon:

Looking good! If those turn out at all like your last plant then you are in business. :ganjamon:
