First Grow Fluxing Test - THC Bomb Mars 400W II - Hydro DIY Flowtank

Hi experts, need your advice on this appearing disease : Nutrient Abuse i think but need to be more precise

I'm going to lower EC from 0.76 to 0.4 to start.
Air temp is 79 F
RH is too low : 40 %

Water temp is 78 to 80 and my tomorrow goal is to make a diy chiller, i think 'im gonna buy a little fridge like car's models with a heat exchanger plugged inside

I would go with BD on cutting back on the nutrients. Although I didn't have a problem adding them from day one doesn't mean others won't. GH's and AN's brand give me what I need and I just stick to their recommended feeding schedules.

And my old nemesis....water and humidity...LOL.

The DIY for the chiller for sure. There are DIY techniques for RM but nothing beats a actual humidifier. Your good now but will want to get both dialed in as soon as you can.

As for the spots on the leafs I can't call it. Rule out what you know and deal with what you don't. Still going with BD's suggestion. Although temp and RM needs work the leaf problIt's got to be in the water.

I would cut out all the nutrients. Seedlings have all the nutrients they need to grow for the first two weeks. And I've read lots of journals where some growers don't let their EC go above 1.5, even in flower.

Thanks for those advices, Bud i agree with you but remenber my baby had broken cotyledons so i think not enought stuff to start growing. But i'm back to tap water with ec 0.4 now. let's wait few days

I've been to the supermarket this morning and found an mini hello kitty fridge, the pink fridge is a 100 Dollars pink solution

I think i should better invest is the cool works ice prob

And monitor the new growth. Whatever is causing her distress should not be seen on the new growth. And new growth without any spots means you've adjusted correctly.

You've got time for the "Ice Probe" and in the mean time you can do what I did. Baggies of ice in the res to help keep the temp down. You'll have to do this daily if not more. You could also freeze some plastic bottles of water and pop them in the res.

You'll be fine and you caught whatever it is early enough to make corrections. Go easy with the corrections so your not confused with what is working and what is not. Cutting back on nutes and bringing the temp down is enough to sit back and monitor for changes.

first of all, i tried to pop one critical seed 7 days ago and still nothing so yesterday night i prepared another critical one, and yes a litle litle root. put it in a soaked coco mini tablet

Looks like too early feeding burn to me.

As others have said seedlings do not need feed for first few weeks.

Thanks crawdaddy for your return too, i've changed rez water, it's just corrected ph 5.8 tap water.

They were probably broken because you started feeding too much too soon. But its your plant so ill leave you to your own devices. Hope it works out for you.

the plant has just one cotyledon when popped and it remains stuck in the rockwool, by my fault of course :)

Yes thanks a lot Renegade, i'll watch new groth very closely.

temporary 0$ solution but maybe not be useless :

I took an old cooler, filled with 20 litres of cold water and ice

Put a little pump in it and 2 meters of plastic tube,

35 F water circulate in the tube to come back in the cooler, i plunged the tube in the solution,

Tomorrow i will change the part plunged ino the nutrient for better thermal exchange, need to find something that won't alterate water and nutrients, any idea ?

I'll monitor in the afternoon and will come back to tell how much water temp goes down.

Alot of people for a high maintenance low cost chiller simply get a bunch of 2 Liter soda bottle fill with water, put in freezer, then periodically but in reservoir till ice melts then replace with new iced 2 liter.

That works for tank whitch can contain a frozen bottle :) my nutrients reservoir is five litres.

thx Crawdaddy for this simple trick !!

Moreover working from 7h30 to 20h (today on holyday) i had to find a more durable solution for at least 8/9 hours and a bit less stressing for nut and roots. i was reading forums about temp variation and just adding a cold block can dramaticaly decrease temp and do damages even in pseudo aero.

Temp edit,

Water temp in nutrient tank is 76.1 F it arrives slowly while water in the cooler still 36 F.

RH is now 57 % with mist maker in 1 gal bottle my neighbor gave me.

16H22 Edit water T : 72 F.

The damage to your seedling appears to be nutrient burn.

I love to be Kingjohnced on a disease situation, thanks for the confirmation.

To all of you who reply to me and gave me the same tip !!

You rock guys.

Day 14, first disease but correcting actions running

temp : 80 F
RH 59 %
EC : 0.38, all nuts stopped for moment
PH : 5.8
Water temp : 72.5 F the best i can do for now

Grow scale, i'll try to let 5 last days, time to girl to outfit the border pics.

Ok growing is a great effort,

i really go to invest in a cool works ice stuff. After an afternoon reading about reservoir temp for hydro and aero the better is 68 F to a max of 75 F, fortunately my reservoir is black and dense, aired with two airstone, and changed one time a week so i don't have to stress too much and Cool Works Ice ... will do it great.

The fog machine works good and it's working 15 min on 15 min off, RH stable 55-60%

Hello Danknessdude,

Thanks a lot, as proven several times here as i changed from soil to hydro to aero and finally i prefer it over all. Very stubborn to, specially when an idea run somewhere in my mind.

i will do all to succeed and support from community is very very appreciated.

Time to watch your grow !!

Regards

T.
