So there it is my ghetto all items from home grow tent idealy its going to be for one full grown plant iths two thirty gallon totes i know white paint is better but unill i get some im using al foil its better than nothing though i checked my local wallmart and they didnt sell mylar so it was my last choice so i started lst on all my plant still wanna keep them short as possible thay are alk healthy and soon i will get four more totes and ill keep three fems inside if iget three so what do you think ps light leaks are no prib as to noone goes in my closet and i only do soo during lights on

Im not sure its too much of a concern using CFLs, but for any other type of lighting I would warn you against aluminum foil as a reflective surface. The creases and wrinkles can create focused points of heat and light that can do harm to your plants.
Flat white paint is a great reflector if you cannot locate mylar.

I read this online i get paid next friday so i will get white paint then but until then the al foil will reflect some light thanks everyone for the support

I have to ask. What do you do for air circulation in your DIY & does it get hot under there?

I have a couple two inch wide slits at the top tote and holes drilled in the bottom I have a standered isolating fan a couple feet away it stays a littler warmer than the house 67 is what the air is on so about sevendy five 80 with the lights on all day its in the closet so I don't worry about light leeks

You might want to open it up a few more times a day now that the foil is in there, as it will trap more heat than previously.

thank you i will pop the top tote for about fifteen minits every four hours and i moved the fan closer so theres a little bigger breeze going thru my canapy

Or you can just leave it cracked a little. That's a nice range in your temps.

So i lstd yesterday and bent them a little more this mourning the plant look beatyfull though after bending the main stem ant the canipy repositioning thay look like lil bonzi trees of weed lol mutant still lookin like a mutant shes (hopefully) my favorite

hey there bryan looking good. those totes remind me sooo much of when i got started. early 90's, small apartment, bagseeds, aluminum foil, and fl. lights. so cool. brings back alot of memories man. what did you want my opinion on? id be glad to give it.

it looks good. i wouldnt wait to long to switch to 12/12, those babies will get alot bigger in their flowering stage. keep an eye on them and post pics, the collective stoner minds at 420 will keep ya on the right track. theres not a better site to learn from, everyone here is very nice and willing to help. if you do have a sativa in there, its gonna get to big for your setup. not to mention that they take forever to finish.

I have done 12 -12 from seed do hopefuly this will also keep them a little shorter
