First Grow - Bag Seed

i am learning soo much its hard to take everything in and i know to expect a low yeild from 12/12 but how much dry bud should i get per plant

also where can i get cheap autoflowers for my next run by then i will have a grow tent
any advice i live in fl so its illegal lol i dont care too much i live in the boonies

your yield will be dependent on a few things. Pot size, vertical growing space, light penetration, proper nutrition, number of plants etc. the list actually goes on.

For cheap Autoflowers, check out Attitude seed bank. They aren't a 420 sponsor, which i should suggest first, but use the promo code "420" in the check out for 10% off your orders, and they give away much better freebies, and in my opinion, have better stealth shipping options than other seed banks.

I used Herbies twice or 3 times, all with good ship times and stealth methods. I am still yet to try the 'tude' as I've heard great things about them too.

My best guess for yield of a plant in soil with no veg time is about 1-2 ounces.

awsome i am here plants will be going off at ten i will post pics around six six thirty i think an once or two per plant will be worth it for me i also have four plants outside so thay should yield alot more correct im going to do topsoil perlite rite into the ground once i weed the males

thank you everyone today woke up packed a bong checked on my babys and thay are lookin healthy i cant wait to tell my ladies from the gents

i had i bbq stain on my white t shirt she was killin me in tht miniskirt skippin rocks on the river by the railroad tracks

Hey big guy! Just read through your journal and wanted to let you know that your in good hands here. Both Skybound and GreenThumb are masters of their craft so, know that they won't stear you wrong.

I read the bit about running your plant 12/12 from start. I don't recommend this because the yield will be so minimal that it might now be worth it. The reason I say this is when I did my first grow, I ran a 12/12 from start to finish. And the plant got me barely 7 grams and only reached a height of about 10 inches.

What I don't know is if it's to late to switch your cycle to 18/6. But either way, as a first grow, you will still be able to experience all the great aspects of growing cannabis.

I wish you all the best in your journies and look forward to watching you do your thing! ;)

Hey Bryan....great advice from everyone........when you get your temp and humidity sensors you are looking for a relative humidity between 40% and 60%.........higher % for vegatative growth and lower for flowering as either GT or Skybound pointed out with high humidity in flower you definately can have mould issues.....to combat this you need good air ventilation and extraction and a small fan to move the air around them......only lightly blowing on them to help strengthen the stems.......i have mine to where it doesnt hit them directly but the air movement still moves them.....i say this because i have found that if the fan is directly at them it can deform and make the leaves on that side look like crap:)lol..........as far as going 12/12 from the beginning.....the size of the container will make a difference......someones journal i think you could benefit from is b.real.......he grows photos 12/12 from seed as well and i think he averages about 20grams per plant......he gets one large ass cola on each of them:)lol..........are you going to keep them under cfl and if so how mant total watts are you using for them?.....sorry if you said but i dont remember......also if i repeated anything anyone else already said sorry:).....normally i give credit to those who have said it already, but my memory is on strike today evidently........but like mrrobert420 said there are a lot of experienced growers here and if one of us doesnt know the answer rest assured someone we know does......oh and what brand of nutrients are you using? wow sorry this is all over the place:)lol

Hey Bryan, when I was reading some of the feedback, I noticed that most of us are under the impression that you're grow is staying inside when in fact you're only starting them indoors. I guess you gotta pick through it all to decide what you can apply and what you have to leave alone. Everyone's heart is in the right place (indoors), but sometimes the advice doesn't apply.

If by chance you start a new seed, please put it under 18/6 lights and grow it to about 8", then snip off the top. This will produce 2 main shoots instead of just the one. When the new shoots grow out and produce vegetation, you can then put them to 12/12. This will more than triple your yield per plant, and you'll only need to invest an added 2-3 weeks of grow time. Also, since you're indoors now growing, any chance you can stay inside? It's easier to control the climate inside than out, plus you have built in security in that you live there!

Man i missed you were planning on moving them outdoors, but i then agree with Skybound.....as far as indoors, security and control of enviromment......he is completely correct.......i apologize for not paying attention:)lol.....never grown outside so i have no experience with it:).......but if you are set on it i know a few members that grow outside that might could help also.....i will wait for your reply before i go throwing more info at you:).......i am not sure if you grow outside Skybound:)lol....but now i have to go check out your journal buddy:)......always looking for new info and growing techniques....there are so many different styles here and i would like to check most of them out:).....right now i have three different medias growing and 3 different nutrients .....haha....gotta find the one i love:)

I plan on geting another two of those big plastic 30 gal rubbermade tote and about three more 150 wat cfls i fimmed for four colas hopefully everything goes well i will post pics tomarrow

And i have four outdoor plants and six indoor lol indoors are staying inside i might move one or two if space is an issue hope this info helps

Very nice! If you are gonna veg your indoor plants, it's best to locate the CFLs in the 6,500k color spectrum (traditional color used in regular T5 & T8 tubes) as this one color gets the best responses from vegetating plants.

i am 12 12 with 6500k 150 wat cfl and two 2700k 60 wat cfls i want to get twoo 150 wat cfls one more 6700k and one 2700k so i can have like a full spectrum setup does anyone know if this will work

i am not sure if you grow outside Skybound:)lol....but now i have to go check out your journal buddy:)

You think Mr Automation is going to grow outside? Pretty sure stealth is high on his list of priorities lol

Bryan.. i knew you were keeping them inside..

I read correctly guys.. he said he plans to keep them inside but might move more outside if they turn out female.

I think Sky asked this about keeping your grow inside and you clearly are.

And i'm positive i read earlier that you said you would have a grow tent soon.. Do you know how big of a tent you plan to buy? I own 3 tents of different sizes and they're amazing.. a 4'x4'x6.5' tent for drying, a 4'x8'x6.5' tent for veg and an 8'x8'x6.5' for flower.

With concerns about your lighting, if you are going to go with a grow tent, you might want to consider getting air cooled High intensity discharge (HID) light. I've read over quite a few journals with people who've used half dozen or so CFL's and ran into crazy heat issues.

In regards to a scrog, or Low Stress training, it really depends on your space limitations. A scrog is a great idea to keep the canopy low because as the plant stretches, you can pull a leader branch down and into the next hole in the trellis. The spreads the plant out, as as it grows upwards, you pull it outwards, and will actually allow you to grow a bigger plant in a smaller space.

Low Stress training includes bending and tying down branches. This is good, but the branches just turn back toward the light and start growing upwards again..

What you should do is decide where your final flowering space is going to be.. in that Rubbermaid makeshift veg tote, or in a grow tent.

They're are plenty of good options, just make sure that you get a tent that has all metal pole construction, no plastic corner joint pieces!

I haven't gone outside yet, but I do plan to one day!

Another option to a tent is building a grow room. At the blue or orange hardware stores you can find thin white panels called white "hardboard" for about $10 a sheet. 2x3 studs or furring strips are very cheap as well. I admit, building is a bit more involved and does require you to have a fair amount of hand and power tools, building vs buying though still affords you the luxury of customizing the enclosure to fit exactly into your space whereas a tent is ya get what they sent. In all honesty though, I just built a 5x20x8 flower room for about 500, and I am yet to discover whether I can even grow in such a space. Man that will suck if the answer turns out to be no.
