Talk about a kick to the junk if it turns out you cant use that dream sized room!..
i would put up a wall and spilt that room into a 2/3 section for flower and 1/3 section for veg.
One thing i like about building your own rooms or even plant stands, light stands or whatever. Use wood, because you can attach shit to it.. Like for me, i have two 2'x4' flood tables that i have held up by a stand made of 2x4's. If i wanted to say make a wooden frame for a light, i can easily screw in more 2x4's to build this support and attach it directly to the stand.
A good example of something like this is called "Med-man Tables" Google them, they're pretty sweet. They're Nutrient Film tables (NFT) that have been tweaked by "Med-Man", A Canadian seed breeder, who used to live out here in BC but since moved out East to get into the medical marijuana field, made from plywood, 2x6's and some clear poly with a light frame made of 2x6's attached directly to the table.
My point being is wood is so versatile.
But if you dont have a load of power tools or any building experience, i would suggest going the tent route.
Do you plan to light the tent with CFLs?
