Yeah man I threw in 3x Pineapple express autos outside to see how they went and a bit of an early harvest, better than leaving them sitting in my collection doing nothing or feeding them to the birds :rofl: :rofl:

And another question for you. Do you just keep popping seeds and cloning until you find something you really like and then decide to start crossing with something else?

Do you have one particular strain that you've developed and continue to refine?

Just curious.
 
Yeah pretty much mate, some ive been lucky with and found something decent straight up but that means there may be even better plants to get to yet ;) Generally you want to run a whole heap of the one strain and pick your favorite, or you might notice something special as you grow them out and keep a few different phenotypes, maybe a male etc. Cloning is just reproducing that same plant over and over, I take a clone from each plant I flower out while they are in veg, after flowering them out I keep the ones I like and toss the rest. All my keepers and selections are what I do all my breeding with, some are planned and others are just randomly selected to go in, for example, in the last round of crosses I was mainly looking at the Killer Queen, Silver Mountain, Red Diesel and White Jack. the Bruce Banner, Strawberry D x Space Dude and Skywalker Kush were just put in there to fill gaps, they are awesome plants I just didn't really have any plans for them and no point leaving empty spots in the pollen tent while doing a run :thumb: Basically something interesting to look into in the future, throw them in the collection for a rainy day ;)

I have run a few of my crosses but the one I'm most eager to get into is the Sour White Jack due to the frosty ass male I found, once he is revegged I will continue work it further, Genetics are White Jack x Sour Diesel ;) My main plan is to create a White Jack Bx and will take SWJ to F2, maybe find something really special and take it to F3 and Bx SWJ at the same time, also I want to hit a few of my other girls like Killer Queen, C99 etc with him :rofl: :rofl:
Once I get a few of these newer crosses on the go from the last round I have some big plans for some of them too if they turn out the way I expect ;)
 
Id like to see that SWJ male over your killer queen still. I actually camt believe you havent done that for me yet, and its xmas, the time of giving... gonna have to have a word to santa for next year maybe!
 
Yeah man I cant wait for that one, should be some intense frost :) Tbh the only reason it hasn't happened yet is I'm still waiting for him to reveg, hopefully should be ready to go by the time thai Buddha is done or I may run the strawberry cough male I revegged :) I will get to it, should be definitely next year some time :thumb:

Sounds interesting, might be a cheaper option for someone that cant afford the 315 option ;) They will probably charge a pretty penny for the bulbs considering a 315 is about $200 over here, probably around $150 over there :thumb: tbh though I do like the 315's, lower wattage putting out same results as a 600w hps, half the cost to run ;)

Nah I didn't get any to sprout bro :( my main focus now has moved to the Mangos which are probably just as old of a strain from aus but fresher seeds, they are not mango lol, ive found so many phenotypes already going from oldschool sandalwood to dogshit but haven't found a single mango since the initial one I popped :rofl: I also got one Thai Buddha up but its male so will be working to Bx it as much as possible to try bring it back, first round of crosses with him are coming up real soon, they are in flower as we speak ;)

I'm thinking I got lucky with my first male, a very nice and robust Haze Ex. I really excited to get the Sour OG cross into the ground along with the Blueberry that I crossed as well. You kinda lost me on the F2 and F3, but that's ok for now. Right now I'm still working to get a couple of F1's I'm happy with.

I've got pollen samples from the original stud and I've got another male in veg that I've been able to get a nice clone of. Right now outside is my pollen tent, prolly the safest I can do for now. I suppose if I collect pollen samples once a year and get a nice collection of those then I will be able to get all mad scientist moving forward...

At this point I'm not able to enlarge my growing area so I'm reducing my total collection of plants. I had an idea last night, I'm gonna finish everything I've got in flower, should be finished up just about mid February. Then I'll move a whole new crop into flower at the same time. Feeding, and likely watering, all on the same day. I think I can get six 3 gallon containers in there at the same time. By the time those are done hopefully the new seeds I'm popping on New Years will be ready to go into the flower tent.

Of course I've got lots of decisions to make between now and then. I think it's Christmas for you right now.
