Here a comp :rofl::rofl::passitleft:

Gorilla seeds $50 voucher giveaway

Nice one Grizz, Hopefully someone will get something nice with it :passitleft:

WJ x KQ on your radar?

Kinda, to do that I would have to find a KQ male to hit the WJ with, will happen when I pheno hunt the rest of the pack of KQ ;) it will most probably be my Sour White Jack that hits the KQ first, I also plan on taking SWJ back to the WJ mother for BX1 and so on, will probably hit the KQ with each generation and see what works the best :thumb:

No worries mate, may be different in other stores but id recommend reading the whole package because it was tiny and all the focus was taken away from the fact it had ferts ;) May be alright to use with plain water in veg for a while but any added nutes it has a shit fit  same as in flower, it doesn't like it one bit
Yeah I'm heaps excited for the mangos and the Killer Queen cross :) White Jack #2 though is looking like an even better plant than my original, will find out in about 9 weeks :passitleft:
Miracle grow has Perlite with ferts in it too. I didn't realize it until I got home with it, and it was an hour drive.

Perhaps that will take care of the tumours in my lungs, tricky bastards.
Hey Donvito Find some Graviola and zinc. I'll find the dosage amounts but the zinc helps the body absorb the Graviola and Graviola kills some cancers.
I've seen it work, my Dads best friend had a golf ball size tumor on his neck and had two months to live 5 years ago. Not sure if it helps everyone but it might be worth a shot. Another thing a lot of folks do is take a shot of apple cider vinegar in the morning since cancer doesn't like to grow in acidic conditions and most folks enjoy an alkaline diet more than acidic.

Another noob question for you Feral. I don't want to contaminate my grow area (wishful thinking perhaps).

How big should I grow the girls before I do pollination? I'd like to get at least 50 seeds, is there a ball park figure or way to gauge this?

Thanks redmud, all help appreciated. It's been 16 months now, they said the tumors would grow 4x its size per month, so far only a little growth and I've had some success. But I'll try anything.

Just dropped two pyramid seed tutankhamun seeds. Time to get some serious THC coursing through my veins...

Awesome man, cant wait to see how they go, I was eyeing off that strain about a year ago when they had big sales but were sold out, forgot all about it  Hope it helps you mate, gotta be something that will kill that shit off, good luck bro :passitleft:

Yeah it sux man, defo wont be buying that crap again, will see how these little blocks go but I will defo be buying some more bags next time I'm down the hydro shop :thumb: haven't been down there in a while, pretty stocked up for nutes and stuff, thought id sneak the coco in on the cheap and less travel hehe.

Depends on what you are planning to do, you either need a separate area for pollination or have nothing you don't want pollinated in the same tent while it is going on. If you are working with multiple areas I would recommend leaving the pollen area till last job of the night, this way you wont have any pollen tracked into the flower tent. Once everything is closed up if you are still worried about lingering pollen you can mist the air with a water sprayer which will catch and kill any pollen floating around, when pollination has been completed and you remove the male you can give the tent/area a spray down with water and a wipe, will kill any pollen left in the tent and should be no contamination on the next run :thumb: I basically run clones in my pollen tent, they finish up about 12-20" tall and I get anywhere from 25-300ish seeds depending on how thorough I am with pollination, what stage I pollinate and how close the plant is to the male, I don't run any fans apart from exhaust fan with a carbon filter so pollen isn't always flying around in there, I manually apply the pollen or every now and then give the male a shake over the other plants ;)

Thanks for that reminder about the last task of the night. And a BIG THANK YOU for that bit about the water spray and how to clean all the pollen out of the air.

So once your clone has legs and is showing new growth it goes straight into flower with the ladies for makin seeds?

I need your opinion. Remember I told you that I'd popped 6 seeds; 3 and 3? Well, I got this one Haze X and it's not growing as well as the other two, it's also got a lot of yellow. It looks green and healthy in the picture but trust me, it's yellow compared to the others. I don't think it's sick, I was wondering about what you said about breeding for characteristics. Coloring to be specific. I showed you the keeper from the Haze X, here's the other one I'm talking bout.

What do you think I should do with it?

No worries mate ;) Yeah basically once a clone is rooted ill pot it up into coco and wait till its showing signs of growth, then they go straight under 12/12 so I don't get too much stretch, my pollen tent is shorter than my other tents hehe. Depending what you are breeding for, taking the most vigorous parents will probably end up with vigorous babies, saying that though they might not produce the buds you are looking for, that's just one trait you are breeding for, the other pheno that doesn't look as good could end up being the better producer, you will find a lot of the prized cuts of each strain wont be the easiest to grow, a lot are very finicky and sensitive to nutes but when done right you wont beat it, probably find it needs a little more N than the others :thumb: This is why I say you cant really make a good selection till you have at least flowered them out, can pick up on a few things in veg but most of your traits you want to breed for will show in flower :passitleft:

few pics from the last few days ;)

Re: Feral's Journal Of Insanity & Some Growing

Cant wait to see what comes of them, the WJ crosses are the bomb so far :)
What are you thinking of running next time round?

Welcome back mate, great to see you :thumb: Hopefully these girls should be sweet for you and produce some gorgeous flowers :)

I wouldn't bother crossing the same strain to "make more seeds", most seeds available are F1's, as soon as you breed to F2 it wont produce the same thing, might have similar results but would be pushing to find that same plant again, if you were looking at recreating a phenotype your best bet would be cubing (or selfing the plant if you want only females) ;) F2's can be good if you are looking at finding something from a previous generation as you will find very unique plants in there, throwbacks from previous genetics etc but unless you know what you are doing its very easy to screw up in filial breeding when making selections :thumb: My recommendation is to cross 2 unrelated strains together and create your own F1, this way you will have a lot of seeds to go through and find something unique and special, you will probably find more phenotypes leaning towards each parent moreso than taking it to an F2 generation ;)

Hey, Fez.. How's it going?? Looking great as usual. Love your photos..
Noob question!!
Just flicking through trying to pick from where I last read (good luck; 30-odd pages later!), got to this post...
Kinda ruined my day, cos I am about to do this very thing with all 6 my Golden Tiger regs and 1 fem.... All are popped; the GT fem is about 3 weeks old now; was planning to flip soon; the regs will be 12/12 at a week or two old. First real sativa; the going is slow...
So I'm actually glad I read it.. Don't wanna waste the pollen.
Does what you said apply to "Feminized" versions of the same strain? If I was to pollinate the feminized GT only, and grow out the female regs, would that get me better seeds?? At least the buds would be worth it..
Or just use the pollen on other strains. I was already planning that long term, which is why I want the seeds... Not to grow more of the same (maybe sometimes), but mostly to find males for pollen; to pollinate a branch or two of every plant I grow from now on...
Would F2 seeds be fine for this use?
Cheers, Man! Hope all is well with you.

There is no harm in using fem seeds, just basically goes under the same process of selection, just need to pay more attention to the sex and make sure there are no hermy bits and should be good to go. You should end up with a lot of variation in the seeds but they will still be all good to use for searching for males to pollinate others down the track, as long as you are not expecting the same thing each time ;) imo F2's are probably the best place to start looking for unique plants :thumb:

edit... forgot to add, using a fem seed compared to a reg seed of the same strain for the mother wont make it any better, fem seeds are basically locked down phenotypes with very little variation, reg seeds you might find a few different phenos, all comes down to which one you like the best.

Sweet! Just what I wanted to hear.. As long as the "potential" isn't affected that much, I'm happy. I can pheno-hunt as I go. If I get a couple hundred seeds, I can chuck 10 or 20 out at a time, get the 1-2 best of each sex, or chuck out the fems if I don't have the time or whatever.. I'm ultimately just after the bud/ no ambitions to jump into breeding full-on. Mostly wanna eliminate the postage part of seed buying...
But, yeah GT X LSD or Choc Mint etc is the plan!! And I got one Rare Dankness Ghost Train Haze fem that fits the "potential" criteria... Not to mention a couple of MKaze reg seeds, donated by an especially cool mate..!
Awesome! Cheers!

That's it man, should find some great stuff in there if you are willing to look through them, great for what you have planned :thumb: I'm basically just breeding for myself right now to save money also, that and trying to get through some of what ive got hehe and I have not found one with everything I like yet, each strain has elements I like, I figure I might be able to bring the best of each one into something I love :) I am enjoying it though, even more than growing bud  would love to eventually start up a seed business but that's a long ways down the track, right now is all about searching and experimenting :thumb: Id just love to have something out there I created, not about the money at all ;)
