I will testify to that. I bought the 630w lec cmh and as soon as the temp. gets above about 50f, temp in tent will go to 90f or higher. I'm using an open window, with 20f-35f avg. temp., and temp in tent is 70f-80f. We close the window, when light goes off, so plants get house temps. I only wish I had bought 2 of the 315w lec !! Because without running air conditioning, This 630 will be parked 1/2 the year. I don't think sun is making them air cooled for no reason. I should have waited a yr. !! Powerful light though, if you can control the temps..

the sour d x pystropic looks like an interesting cross, be good to see them grown out for sure :thumb:

sometimes you just need to catch up on sleep feral, I'm sure the plants will keep, got to look after your sanity some of the time at least :rofl:

Yeah I defo wont be running them in summer again unless I have Air Con :thumb: the air cooled 600w was a lot easier to manage with heat ;)

Thanks mate :) Actually got some feedback yesterday about the Psycho I grew and people loved it, did nothing for me :rofl: She said its the first time in a long time she has been able to sit back and relax and not worry whats going on around her :) her friend in a wheelchair said its the first one that has stopped his shakes too :thumb: I found all it did for me was straighten me up and make me clearer ;)
I actually dropped 4 of these seeds in yesterday so may end up running them to see what the results are :) going in to check on them now.

I'm glad I kept a couple of clones from Sour D now, just had my first small tester, first impressions, it tastes like shit :rofl: that first cola has only been drying for 4 days though, has that green/hay taste to it. Apart from that, holy shit it hit me pretty hard, I'm just as stoned if not a little more than smoking the usual Red Diesel, not exactly what I was expecting considering it was chopped 2 weeks early :) Munchies weed, I'm starving :rofl: Should be alright after a few more days dry and then cure :thumb: That first cola was the worse affected of the lot with mold, tbh I plucked all the affected area out and the rest was fine, lucky I spotted it when I did :)
 
Should be nice when its properly dried and cured then if you got
that buzz already ;)


Regarding ducting/heat on the cmh,
Ive noticed and seen a lot of guys (even recomended by the hydro place) to
run the fan into a hood and get the air from outside drawing through the light.

Instead i run the fan to the light and left the other end of the hood open inside the
box,pulling air from inside. If anyones seen my little setups i mean, it's
not normal to run that light in small spaces,and i dont get temp issues.
Maybe a few days in summer it creeps up a bit.

We dont have air conditioning and it's not uncommon to have it 35.c inside
the house on a real hot day.

Something to think about.
 
That's how I have my 400w running in my veg tent :thumb: I don't need a separate exhaust for smell in there, just the duct onto the hood and fan sucking air out of the tent :) In flower I only notice a couple of degrees warmer running the 2x 315w compared to the 600w and that's with open bulbs compared to closed system, you do need a good exhaust fan setup though to keep temps right down, then again in my eyes it can get to 35c for all I care as long as there is good airflow, they survive and absolutely thrive in our +40c conditions outdoors in summer so why would it be any difference indoors :thumb:
 
Bang on.

I dont pay too much attention to get it within a degree of a certain temp.
Might adjust things to buffer it back if it's really hot or humid (crank the fan
up and buy humidity packs) other than that i let them do theyre own thing.
It sat at 32 in there for a few days,didnt make a difference to the plants.

I run a dutch made 150mm canfan, couldnt be happier.Quiet and powerful.

One summer our pedastal fan let go and i wasnt doing a grow so i clamped
the can fan to the computer desk in the bedroom and cranked it.Was like
a mini jet fan. Thing was off its head. haha

I have 2 different phenos of the TGA Space dude x Strawberry diesel (top left 2 in the vertical wall), I'm liking the look of the shorter one although both look awesome, the taller one probably leans more towards the Space dude father I'm thinking ;) this is the shorter of the two

all 4 Sour d x Psychotropic seeds I dropped in a shotglass had cracked open, also dropped in a pretty green Sour d x Atomic seed for shits and giggles which has cracked open too lol, all went into seedling pots :thumb: now to see if they actually grow

Damn. Nice outdoor buds. Seeds look awesome. KQ has some round fat leaves. Pity about SC. but could be a good breeder. And that incredible bulk is going to pop your tent wide open. Lol. As usual looks like you have things under control.

Not overly worried about SC, doesn't have the smell I'm after and looks to be a bit of a finicky pheno anyways, was just the first of a 10 pack I have here so plenty more to find my keeper ;) Incredible bulk is going to be massive, once Sour is harvested I am actually going to setup all of the new yoyo's so they are ready to go and I'm not climbing over the top of the plant when they are needed :rofl:

Some plants show a lot earlier than others, there is a distinct difference to the preflowers from the moment they show, males will have a short stem at the base of the preflower whereas a female preflowers base is right up against the main stem at all times. Males will have a rounder preflower show, almost like a lollypop, where a female calyx will always be teardrop shaped :thumb:

:rofl: I'm already making plans for my new area if this one works out, was thinking I could stack up about 10 of them in a smaller area for keeping parent plants, 10x8 pots will give me 80 parents I can keep at a time :rofl: Insane I know :rofl:
