Fast Buds Fun Time Wiv Ya GanjaGrandaddy: L.O.S. V Coco Shootout

They do change appearance frequently. Now it looks like lights as Penny mentioned or maybe root/soil issues. No sense in trying a bunch of different things so start with the lights and see what happens.
Thanks Mr S. I have raised the lights up to 24" now. fed a little lighter too but only water on the Los pots. I think they are very active now so over did them. Will leave all else be and see where it heads. I do expect somenchamges but the contourting reminded me of Emilya's comments of similar growth from mc in supersoil.

Day 36: I am seeing a few flower looking growth tips on a couple now so hopefully the big stretch will kick into her soon. Not being an auto guy I am they again starting to see a darker future for yield with their size atm.lol
I am not saying they are small in size as they are filling out the pots nicely to the edges now. the lights are now at 24" , los fed on water biosys tea and a top dressing of charge (mealworm frass) and a little calmag , coco girls on 8g/10L ,5ml each calmag and silica.
Those contorted leaves are bothering me now so hopefully not stunting them by the look of things but has to be a reason. Patience is not my strong point.lol
Heres a rundown of pics for today.

Seems all the plants show the same sort of symptoms. I don't think it's a def as much as something going on with the soil, lights, roots or the environment in general. Hopefully it doesn't affect the flowering stage and they still produce some good yields.
Thanks mr S , has me head scratching a bit. All of the medium was premixed with ecocharge( mealworm frass). They all had Mc at the same strength too. I may have been too heavy on 1st use and if memory serves me then soil takes longer to respond ?. I am hopeful that my will balance out as I go with slightly less mc and none for the los . They dont seem to be stunted beside the pygmy and the worse affected seem to be growing very well ?. took the light up as an extra measure too so let's see.????. Thanks for the comment matey

Nice, isn't it too early for the dehum? I must say mine keeps temps at night above 20C now instead of 17 before so it helps good at night

Day 38 : All these ladies are finding their feet now and even with the obvious leaf curl , dont seem to be suffering too much from my errors. some definite flowering started among the girls and hopefully the long stretch will kick in now. I have them well held down now so I dont expect any sativa sized trees at all but the 2 untrained BlackBerry could well show me what's what on that score. The stunted, very odd smoothie #2 is still showing something she doesnt like but I am baffled to find what that is . The pots of coco are 3rd use so could well be something not cleared out during their washes. New coco for next run as this could well be why I am getting some odd results. sorry for missing that folks and your help has not gone wasted at all.
I have fed them today with just 10g/10L MC. The LOS are still getting over their massive overload of N ( I suspect now) and are going mad with growth. Keeping them in just water will hopefully keep them moving at this pace. As i had wanted to compare coco v LOS and used bigger pots for those as 40L is min recommended for enough to feed a plant, I did wonder if this size difference was due to pot size alone at first. I know this would be a factor for photoperiods but as I saw most size pots recommended for autos was 20L, that this would not contribute too much . Any thoughts here folks.? I know shed is an auto guru so let's hear some tips mate. am I on track here with these girls or am I missing a method/tip/trick at this point?. They are staked low for a quad type flowering period hopefully.

heres some randoms while we wait for bud porn to be of interest. I love how the Los are now looking like castle towers to Ganjaland

I have around 82% so dropping 10% for a little more heat is a good pay off. 70% is all good at this point mate.

Could very well be the lights were too close.
I forget how intense these get Penny , hps was always about heat on the bud and I ran cool tubes so could be inches from the mains. We live and learn , thanks for the heads up. All seems to be settling down a little better now.

A cheap Lux meter from the Zon is a good investment if you're using any of the "white light" LEDs. For $20 you can quit guessing how far your light should be for each stage of growth.

On my shopping list now mate thank you. did try an app yesterday and according to that I am in the 2800-3000 lx range across the grow. I dont fully trust a mobile app but wanted an idea of sorts. not sure what that means heehee. this is at the higher height of 24".

My experience when comparing apps to an actual lux meter, apps are highly inaccurate. Pretty sure there is a couple page discussion on that subject buried in my journal, along with accompanying pics to show the drastically different readings between the two.
