True. You will notice that with the SE at 1750 you get about 8-10% dead travel on the pot. You can correct this by using a "shitty" potentiometer. Test your pots...see if you have one that resists at about 85k.
Is this the dead travel you were talking about? The last 25% on the pot didn't do anything and maxed out here with 4 cobs. This one tested at 105k and was already soldered before you said this so thought to try it.

Since it is a hlg 240 it should be pulling 240 watts right? It's awesome and sucks to learn something everyday lol.

Yup
What COBs and how many at what mA?

Was just doing some testing so I had 2 5000k, 1 3500k, and 1 3000k. Vero 29 SE on a hlg 240 1750. I didn't mess with the current it was just plug in and see how much light 4 cobs make lol. Going to put in some 85k pots tonight and see how that goes.

You should pull 218w after the system warms up. The regular Gen7 chips seem to pull a little more.

I think I just scored a contract from a LP. They want to "test" 1000 sq ft of Grow space under LED COB.
Wow.
Thats awesome news jimmy! Congratulations!

Let this be a testament to your hard work paying off!

You truly deserve it with all the work you do.
Theres ALOT of people here who you've helped and probably owe a harvest or 2 to you lol.

I know i do thats for sure!

Im up & I cant f'in sleep!! I've been up since 2am running thru different lite configurations. :( can you guys help straighten me out!!

Im thinking two 4x4 are easier to handle than one 4x8. Each 4x4 will have 24 cobs 14" apart. I want to add a uvb lite in between arrays. This is my first build and want to make as ez as possible. I see Jimmy & Growmau5 place the drivers on the build. I think thats easier then placing them outside the growing room. Will that cause heat issues running 24 cobs? When more $$ comes in I'll end up with 48 cobs in the room.

For drivers, Im thinking 2 drivers per 4x4 at 7mA. Or should I go with 3 drivers running 4 lites to have more control of dimming? If Im looking for efficiency is it better to use 700mA and get by or use 1400mA knowing I can go brighter if needed?

Ok. Hoping this helps clear my mind. Thanks guys. Nite.
