Ok, Jimmy, you have my attention. What is this 1700 meatchip? :hmmmm: The chart is pretty interesting. What are we really missing in that? Is it enough to affect bloom? :hmmm: I run separate veg and bloom, so I don't need a lot of blue and I was planning to go with 3000K ...

I've been following but not paying much attention.

:Namaste:

Well I ran the last 3 weeks on just the 1750k's. My buds filled out then started growing again so I pulled the plug on the operation as it was week 10 of flower and I couldn't afford a re-bloom with 10 Strawberry Kush clones waiting for the tent.
But here's the video on the Vero 18 bxrc-17e4000-F series chip. It's a lot smaller than the Vero 29 version (those chips are on order). I ended up putting 8 Vero 18's at 1750k in a 2x4 tent. I made a video on the chip posted here on my YouTube channel.

It still might be fun to keep a few in the tent on a separate timer ... :cheesygrinsmiley:

Thanks, I'll check it out.

I just started a new Grow today. I'll be flowering 20 clones under 20 Vero 18.
10 of the Vero 18 1750k and 10 Vero 18 4000k.
Sunrise/sunset simulation.
3 month Grow start to finish.
Just finished planting the clones from my Strawberry Kush mother plant journal

Do you plan on reselling parts when you launch your site? I found your lights online and the prices are competitive as fuck, you blow all of the name brand Garbo out of the water and actually give the customer the watts they pay for. I went from wanting to buy the Goliath to pondering spending the same in blurples until I came across this thread and then I was in awe and in love with the idea of Cobs and now I'm $800 deep in something I've convinced my girlfriend I can build and not burn the house down yet still delightfully optimistic.

I see the common theme being that noob builds led, gets addicted to building sick led array and has friends requesting custom built lights, so if you do start reselling I would definitely use you a a main supplier, plus I have more panels to build and can't afford $2.60 a wago ;)

I don't think I'll get into parts. I've got the whole assembly end of things nailed down to a micro mass production. I make 5 arrays at a time from jigs and patterns. So it's just "cut, drill, paint and assemble." I use very little parts. But members here will be able to get things they need from me if I have it in stock. I live down the street from a electronics parts store so things like 100k pre tested pots will be easy to get.

Yea, that's what I'm debating also, should I paint. How do you like your timber, Dan is a real nice to deal with
I love it! And yes he is very helpful! Answered any question i had.

Speaking of painting the kit i wish there was somewhere for me to put the sticker they gave me to have their logo on it.
Oh well i might paint it green like their website and just paint their logo on it that wont be for some time tho

Mouser is very expensive on the crees

Fanleaf, you mentioned the CXB3590-0000-000N0HCB30H CB bin is a great COB choice for flowering. I can only find the CXB3590-0000-000N0HCB30G in CB. Would you use it, as a replacement or would Vero 29 4K be a better option if I can find the H?

Lol. They'll be here next month.
Man. Gotta get my web page up.
I can retire on 1750k meatchips. Lol

Jimmy,

Any chance on me buying 8 or more of them from you in the US, I can't find them anywhere else and don't need 50?

I want to mix the 4k's and 1750's as you suggested for flowering. I will have 24 Veros 6 per bar in a 5x4.

If you can't. Are 3k's a good option?

I've got the main part of the frame built, just waiting on the heatsinks that should be here tomorrow and then I can finish the frame and mount the engines. I've just have to order Pots, resistors and multimeters, on/off switch and wire and I should be set.

Question #1 - What kind of multimeter y'all wiring in these bad boys?

Question #2 - Am I wiring the light and control panel in 16 gauge wire and then just using the 14g to wire the light to the control panel? Or something to that affect. Or is it 14g across the board?
