Fanleaf Tries For A TLO, True Living Organics, Grow With 6 Plants

Fan you are doing fine. Stay the course the taste is worth it.
Thank you. Honestly, I'm so used to shoving chelated nutrients into my plants at 100mph that so far this seems almost too easy. Even though I know there is tons of nutrition in the soil part of my head is so used to feeding my plants that I have to remind myself they are growing because there's nutrition in the soil LOL. If I hadn't fed them several times by now with the chelated nutrients they would be wilting and showing deficiencies already LOL. I'm not letting my past grows dictate anyting with this grow but it sure is a mind f¿@$.

At this point/ stage, will a majority of the grow be just watering?
For the most part yes. There are going to be several very integral additions to make it possible though. All of those additions are solely based on microbe enhancement. Part of the key to make it happen is the layers that you seen me put in the pots that they were just transplanted into. The high nitrogen layers that were put in there will feed the microbes and put them into overdrive. The high nitrogen top layer right underneath the mulch is one of the keys as well. The microbes use all of that high nitrogen mix along with breaking down the mulch for a very healthy population up top. Basically the way I see it in my head is that between the top layer of nitrogen and the mulch layer it creates a microbe Hotel right there at the top of the soil. Now once they are put in bigger pots next time I will be adding some high nitrogen spikes in the soil from the top almost all of the way to the bottom. Again this is for microbe population and growth. When they get put into their final pot I will be adding 2 high nitrogen spikes as well as 2 flowering spikes in the containers along with a new bottom and top layer to the soil to give the microbes the food they need to create the nutrients for flower. I will be Brewing some pretty unique teas as we go into flower as well. Some of them will contain some pretty unique things like bee pollen for example. It sounds kind of crazy probably because my soil alone has enough nutrition to grow plants from seedling to harvest probably several times over again but the key is the ratios of the nutrients that the soil contains.
It's a totally different style of growing for sure. So yes, it will pretty much be water only with the occasional tea to feed the microbes and introduce batches of millions more but this style is definitely unique and we are going to be seeing some pretty unique stuff put into the mix pretty soon too. Anything and everything we do from here on out is for the microbeastie population. The high N spikes in the soil will colonize huge populations of them.

So far, it honestly feels way too easy. You just have to pay very close attention to building the soil exactly right and make it all about microlife. So far, this grow has been more fun than any I have ever done. I have learned soooooo much by the book I read by the guy who created and perfected this recipe over many years and advice given by Emilya and the hands on with this grow. It is really an eye opener just reading that book alone.

Very cool, I’ll have to give it a read. And probably hop on a flight in about 3-4 months to try some :)
If you wanna read something that will be fun and teach just about anyone a ton, grab the book. I'm not a big reader but I couldn't put it down. I've read it 3 times now lol. The book is by the Rev. It's called "True Living Organics second edition".

i will follow this, and have to catch up, i try to cut as many chemicals from my life already (flouride, sweeteners, bigpharma) etc so would definately like to explore the organic route at some point. is very appealing :)

Nothing much to update you guys with at this point. I did give the plants a good watering yesterday. It does seem tlike there is a bit of something that one of them don't like though. I will get the details up tomorrow. The 2 bottom leafs on one of them is mostly dried out and crispy. It doesn't seem like it is spreading or anything. I think the soil may have just been a bit hot for it.

On a side note, here is something kinda cool for you all to look at. I took my Flir Thermal imager down to the grow room tonight. You can see the living soil stays warmer than the pots or the plants themselves. Pretty neat to see a living soil at work.

Fan that is so cool. No...No...No I don't need another toy.. No... No... Ok think I talked myself off the ledge.
You can use it to see where your neighbors are at in their house though... it could come in handy.
It's really useful for quite a bit. It sure is fun though too.

What's the price tag ?

That's a model I seen about 7 years ago and it was $2,000. The price has dropped over the years on this model. It's called the FLIR Scout. There is also a Scout Ocean and a few others but just the Scout is the one I have. It's about $500 now and does amazing things.
Here are some cows out in the field at 150 yards. It's actually much clearer than the video quality it records.

Being able to see cows in the dark, AND be able to tell that they are alive... that is a game changer.
Yes, I use it to quick scan along with a much more expensive unit that sees 10 times further and 10x better quality mounted on "something", to protect some of the farm animals from predators. I know some may not like that and I'm sorry but coyotes are horrible up here. There are so many that over 3 years 47 of them were taken off of one 110 acre farm. There are still plenty left too. It has wiped out the small game population like rabbits and pheasant along with many smaller farm animals. Sorry if some of you may hate me for that but like I said, there are still plenty.
