Fanleaf Goes Hi-Brix On 6 Auto's

So this morning I see light burning on a Gorilla glue. Just a few leaf edges. Can this soil mix really be that rich? In the pic it maybe looks like just a few yellow spots but it's not. They are more brown (burnt) on just a few tips. This is the same seedling I posted a pic of just the other day. I know it's not lights. The cobs are over 30" up. Canopy temps are about 77 down there, air circulating. I'm keeping temps down just a bit because I've got 2 humidifiers in the room and still having a hard time keeping humidity up for them. RH is about 40%. The last few days have been low RH in Michigan here with the cooler air outside.

I wouldn't pay too much attention to it unless it progresses. Future runs in soil this alive can cause problems with seeds and seedlings, but not first run soil.

The soil bots will work it out. :thumb:

Very cool Graytail. I'm not really concerned but more amazed actually. Never going 100% organic before it amazes me that I take a 60 pound bale of Promix which really has not much of any nutrients in it to speak of and add some 1-0-0 castings and mixing with all of that Promix just that little bag of the Amendment that there is now that much nutrition in there!

Simply amazing to me:thumb:

Go ahead and moisten the top inch of soil by gently dribbling some water. This will encourage roots to form in the entire mass of soil and give the little seedling a boost. Just a gentle spring rain, not a monsoon.

Did do Doc. I have a 1L bottle I like to use for that actually. I poked 3 holes in the cap of the bottle and gave the top a light rain. After about 4 hours I went in and at the edge of one of the pots I moved a bit of soil with a finger where I know there would be no roots yet. The "light rain" added moisture to the first 2.5" of soil so I would say perfect. Any deeper still looks pretty much about as moist as the soil was from the cooking tub. :thumb:

This darn Gorilla Glue strain is not liking all the nutrients in the soil. Must be a very light feeder at this point because none of the other strains are showing any burning at all. Darn Michigan weather. Since it's now fall and the air is colder the humidity has dropped so much. I was having a hard time keeping the room even at 40% relative humidity. It really wanted to fight me down into the mid-thirties. So I went and bought a big dog for a humidifier. Says it's good up until 3200 square feet so we will see if it can keep up with about 35 square feet with the ventilation going. So far so good 3 minutes after I turned it on the humidity in the room went from 38% to 46%. I have it set at about 55% for right now and we will see if it can get the room up to that.

Any sign on burn on the new growth?

The bag of minerals is a little tricky - lots of different sized particles. It's possible that this patch of soil got a little too much of something ... :hmmmm:

New growth looks fine right now. That would be strange that the 2 gorilla glues had a hot patch and the other strains didnt. Maybe though lol. This is new to me

Ah, it was both. Yeah, that's not it then. Odd though - you wouldn't think GG would be a light feeder. :hmmmm:

SLOtown grows the Gorilla Glue around here and it's not a light feeder at all. It's a hog.

I'm pretty sure your low humidity is the issue. You want it 55% or so.

Nothing is more important than the environment. Nearly all problems are caused from environmental issues.

Got it fixed up quickly. Quick trip to my local construction store. Its in the 51-53% neighborhood now.

So. Day 14. Gorilla glue plants not lookin too hot. All plants now have 5 sets of leafs. Not sure if I should start adding some part of the kit to the routine or not yet? Just gave them one more light sprinkle of water so the top dont dry out too bad. The environment is under control. The temperature in the room is always kept between 78 and 81 at the canopy level and about 68 to 70 during lights off. Humidity is in the low 50s at all times. I started some low stress training on the one skunk that is very large compared to the rest. Also started low stress training on one of the Pineapple Express plants. To be honest it looks to me like the plants are missing a little something and their starter leaves are starting to Yellow which I don't like to see. Usually I can keep them perfectly healthy for at least a month to a month and a half. Nothing has been fully watered yet at this point. The soil came straight out of the cooking totes and into the pots. They have only gotten a light sprinkle of water several times just to keep the top few inches of the soil from drying out too bad and damaging the shallow roots. All in all so far I would say the growth that I am seeing now is slightly slower than I normally see because I can usually top my plants anywhere from day 13 to 15 just above the fourth node. Some of them could be topped above the 4th node now but only about half of them. Size-wise compared to what I normally see the one skunk plant is about on par with what is normal for me and that is about twice the size of the other five. Here are some pictures to check.

Just for some more light porn. So far I have two of my three panels finished for the monster Cree light.
It will be 42 of them in total with 33 of them in 3000k and 9 in 5000k.

Should I be giving them their first real dunk in RO water alone or should I be adding tea or something guys? They are 2 weeks old today and have yet to have a good watering.
Also, at what point should I start the Foliars? The gorilla may benefit from de-stress?
