Exotic Genetix Trap Star Grow Journal By TwoX

Nice looking buds there buddy! :thumb: Loving that last set of pics.

Those look like one of my Labyrinth pheno's with the spiral buddage going up the tall tree shape.

I'll be harvesting 3 of the 4 my ladies this week. The one tall pheno that had the spear shaped colas, the yield was 2.5 zips dried. A little less that what I usually get so likely time to change my soil. I could probably have gotten 3 zips easily but I had to trim something... sheesh, the sugar leaves I was cutting off were for sure smoke worthy... In hind sight and for next trim, all I'm cutting off is the fans and then break down the buds into nugs and call it a day. I have a decent tray of sugar leaves I gave to my wife and she's going to make salve with beeswax with it...

My Labyrinth look very very similar to your TS...

On the nanner thing... when trimming I found a few way down low and right on the main stem. I left a few low down LAF buds an the nanners were tucked up behind that little tiny budlette. I got 5 seeds and I think only 1 looks possibly viable the other 4 seeds were 1/2 seeds and white... Next round with Exotic and I will just trim the laf early on and that should fix the issue. I think you're spot on with that idea, thanks.

Regarding female ratio and Exotic gear... 50/50 sometimes I get 4 out of 9.... or 5 out of 9.. usually get 1 dud and toss it after I mess it up.

Those TS are always awesome to look at, very very nice!
Thanx PennyWise.. They are still fattening up so they should keep looking better and better
Great pics of some beautiful flowers Twox. :Namaste:
Thanks BL..
Gorgeous twox just gorgeous. Cherry fuel sounds so amazing!!
I hope they taste as good as they smell... Thanx Jgrow

Whats up Bob. I noticed the similarities too. I love the giant spiraling colas. I don't think I'll get 3 per plant but 2 looks very possible. I'm glade she has a nice high, really nice to hear.

My nanners did the same thing and I found one bud so far with maybe 4 or 5 seeds down low. I'm still going to pick a keeper and I'll strip the bottoms before I flower her next time. Those colas are way too nice to not give her another shot..

The frost on TS4 is breathtaking man! They all look great but I can see why you have your eye on her! :thumb:
. She's getting fat too.. I got my eye on her and I already know I'm going to have a hard tome picking a keeper.

( Copied drom my other journal )

Sorry if I've been off the grid the last couple days but as some of you may know I live in the Central Valley of California and we are experiencing a wild fire in the hills that is the threatening my friends and family's homes. My in laws have been evacuated from there home and are worried sick about losing everything they have worked there entire life for. We are trying to lend them support and keep them positive as best we can. There's house was still there today with no power but everything across the street is black and burned for miles. It was ruff seeing the beautiful landscape and view turn to ash and smoke. So sad

I also have friends from Mariposa that have been evacuated and had to abandon their grows. Their devestated. No power, no water, no fans. He's positive his entire indoor grow will be dead when he can finally return home if his home is still there. The fire isn't even close to being contained so everybody's outdoor is at risk too. I've helped him as best as i can and promised him I would help him get started back up once everything gets back to normal. I have no problem donating seeds and clones/mother plants to help.

So I would like to appoligize if I'm not as active for the next dew days but my friends and family really need my morale support and company.. I usually dont like bringing up my Real Life problems in my Journals but this was way to important to stay silent about. Thanks for all the compliments and if you are the praying type, send some love to Mariposa County, they need it..

Damn Twox that is a terrible situation. Good on you for doing what you can for those that mean the most to you. It really speaks of your character the way you are willing to be there for your friends and family when they are in need, and I am in no way surprised that you will help your growing buddies in any way you can. I am glad you let us in on why you wont be around so there is no worry about your absence but real life takes precedence to journals. Good vibes sent to you and yours

Damn ...wild fires suck... prayers to the folks in need.

The ash will give the soil a very BIG boost of Ca and other goodies. It won't be black and charred for long, that we can count on.

People's Lives matter, stuff can be replaced, be safe... :Namaste:

Thanx for the love everybody.. I updated my other journal with the outcome. Family and close friends all came out ok.. Everybody is in good spirits now so on with the show..
Ts4, the OG pheno, batch 1.

She's getting really chunky and will probably end up being one of my highest yielding phenos this batch. She stacked nice and she seems like she still growing at 7 weeks with tons of white pistols. I have not started flushing these yet and will most likely start that process at week 8.. I'm letting them go 10. Super happy with this one. Frosty dense nuggs bulging off the cola..:high-five:

Ts5, The spear pheno, batch 1.
This one is definetly not leaning towards the OG side of the gene pool. She's got a really nice cola on her. Similar smell to Ts4 but a completely different bud growth. I think she will yeild well too but I'm questioning the density of her buds. Can't wait to show off that big ass cola though.. another possible keeper..

Ts1, my other spear pheno..
This one didn't really impress me and the buds didn't get gigantic like the others. Unless she has the most amazing terps out of the batch, her clone will be marked of the possible keeper list... Only one photo??. Oops..

The Sacrifice.
I was unhappy with this pheno. She's the short runt from the 2nd batch and she's the farthest from the light showing heat stress with slow growth and a dry sand like trichome with very little smell.. She looks like crap and the last time I decided to let a crappy plant finish I ended up with crappy buds. She was destroyed today, rip to the mids.. lol

Batch 2...

Yep, more possible keepers.

This one is the frostiest so far. Not as tight nodes as the other phenos but her trichome production is on another level compared to the other phenos. I like her so far.

The other pheno from batch 2... Stacking hard..

I'm pretty excited to see these ladies finish up and I'm expecting some great buds from the second batch...

Could the last 3 pics possibly be Alien phenos?
Definetly.. I'll have a better idea of which way there leaning in a week or two when there buds start developing. The frosty little one looks promising.. The resin rails look Alien to me and my other phenos don't really produce trichomes like this. The others seem to frost the sugar leaves evenly. :thumb:

Good looking flowers Twox. Plenty to select from. Any immediate plants to mate them with something else that's exciting? Very good to hear that everyone escaped the fire without harm or home damage. :Namaste:
Thanx BL, everyone in the Fam is relieved..

Breeding plans only involve the Male at the moment. I plan on using him to pollinate a birthday cake and a purple Urkle. I feel like I need to run the TrapStar females I choose as possible keepers again before I make any decisions.

I'm hoping the Ts male ads some bulk and stem strength to the Bday Cake. The cherry and kush flavor should add a little something to her flavor pallet too. I want her to stay Bday dominant so I might have to do a back cross after I pheno hunt the initial batch of seeds.

The Urkle cross should add some nice color and those wonderful terps to the cherry flavored trapper.. I would prefer a TS dominant pheno with this run due to the slow growth and small buds the Urkle produces. Urkles best traits seemed to shine in my last cross so these should turn out good.

You have some awesome looking ladies between both batches. It looks like you will have a hard time choosing a keeper out of all the ladies you have. It seems to me you are making the right choice on breeding until you at least smoke all of the phenos to find your favorite!

Unless one just screams keeper I have a hard time choosing. I'll keep whatever's great and run them again. I always keep my 2 favorite and grow them again to see how they compare side by side by if 4 of them come out great with no real issues, I'll keep all four and run them again.. I see 2 I'm keeping from the first batch.. Both of them look great and I'm impressed with the size of the buds..

Could the last 3 pics possibly be Alien phenos?

Nice observation... my last batch I've been running and harvested, I went over to a friends house and showed him my Labyrinth... told him it was Alien (Kush).

I get a little paranoid ... not a lot of folks running this gear. Changing name to protect the innocent me. :Namaste: in case someone decides to google..

Hey there T.. yeah the tall pheno of my Lab that looked like your keeper after trimming the buds were dense and sticky. Had trouble drying them.. took a while. When I broke them down at trim, I had 3.5 zips dry wt of all pretty much the same shape and size nuggets. Pretty nice bag appeal like that, the way I like to see the outcome. You should see the same or similar result I think.

I have a short pheno hanging now, drying.. should trim maybe tomorrow. The one hanging was the shortest but the frostiest. Both tall pheno's I got 3.5 dry per plant. Just about what I like to see in my garden. You should have the same results.

You thinking about going 70 days.. yours look like they will go that far... I went 56-60 days with mine, and one is hanging on and will be 70 days and it's all fat colas.

That Cube daddy ... wow, puts on some nice buddage and frost. I'm on a few other Exotic Genetics specific blogs. We are pretty much seeing the same thing as everyone else. The seeds (if we are lucky enough to get a few S1s) others are reporting the grow out from the S1 is stellar and no nanners at all on the next round. So not sure what that means for the Cube crosses... maybe many of them are F1's. Likely since we are getting several different pheno's ... Whats going to be interesting "for me", is the outcome from the S1 seeds. I'll be popping some next month.

Your plants a looking FREAKING STELLAR! Keep doing what yer doing, soon enough... trim party at T's house. Yeah u right! Won't be long now.

Glad to hear the fam and extended fam made it safe. Our prayers and good vibes are still headed their way.. I'm sure the community is still in a lot of agony.. loss is a tough thing, but loss of life is devastating. Glad everyone made it thru! :Namaste:
