Equanimity's First Grow - Lemon Kush - Canna Coco - CFL

Listen equanimity, mild thrives in damp,so ur gona have 2 find a way 2 keep that room warmish.is it a normally a cold room during the winter.maybe u should look at removing top half of soil with the mold on it,an replace it with new soil.but lack of heat has 2 be triggering that hold 4 u.hope u get it sorted.if that's usually a cold damp room during winter, then there may be damp sitting in the corn or of the walls that u can't see.so if that's the case, remove all plants from room,an clean every inch of the walls plus ceiling.:blunt:

I actually think he was having problems with heat. His temps were around 100 degrees which you would think would prevent the mold. Im thinking that his medium is too moist. But im not really too sure about any of it because i havnt came across this problem before.

I actually noticed at the very end of my grow, there was a tiny bit of mold on a leaf, sitting on top of the soil.I just removed it.havnt a clue how it got there.but rem,if ur hanging wet towels ect in ur grow tent, that would add 2 mold appearing.I hung wet towels up until buds starting properly growing, then stopped it as u don't want humidity at that stage of grow.:blunt:

The plant affected by the mould is in a seperate area, a wardrobe. It's approximately 26c in there.

I think I'm going to go ahead with the hydrogen peroxide. I'll do a full flush with the H2O2 solution and check on it over the course of the next few days; once I'm satisfied that it's dead I'll make up a solution of the Mycorrhizal for the roots.

I think snakelads advice on removing the top soil is probably the best course of action.

I've already tried that though. took an clear inch off the top with a tea spoon.

then i tried the neem oil and that made it worse.

sorted the air circulation, checked the temperature and humidity.

this is pretty much all i have left to try.

i toyed with the idea of covering it in perlite but I'm afraid that might make it worse and I'll not see it until it comes out the top of the perlite, by which point I'll be an inch thick.

Ah dang. H2o2 might sterilize it for ya. Might have to do a heavy dosage of it to make it effective.

Curious as fuck how to fix this myself as I've had this happen a few times to me in the past.

I always ended up repotting them with fresh soil, only about half the plants would survive it for me. Wish I would have thought to try h2o2 on my plants.

Good luck man keep us updated.

I'll definitely post the results of this. I guess this plant did turn out to be my frankenpot after all lol

so the mycorrhizal fungi has just arrived, just waiting on my woman with the h2o2, gonna flush it with a solution of 33% in water (the other 66% being water), about a litre til it drains out the bottom. Then it's just a waiting game.

The actual seedling herself looks healthy enough, just, trapped in a time dilation field and not growing at all. So i could still save it.

One of the problems is that i think the small root mass has exhausted any of the oxygen in the water in the pot and that's why she's not growing but i don't want to pour more water on a mouldy pot, so, hopefully the h2o2 will kill the mould and oxidise the coir.

I'm not ready to give up on her just yet.

This won't help m8.but my skunk plant that I harvested, the pot an plant, still filled with soil is sitting in my kitchen.Ive been 2 stoned 2 even get rid of that:rofl: but ive just checked it,an the whole top of the soil is covered in a white looking mold.ive no idea why its doing that as its not cold or anything here.but it never looked like that during my grow.im guessing its because i havnt watered it an basically just ignored it.so ive seen it myself.the soil is bone dry, that might be why aswel.i havnt a clue.im away 2 get u some help now.a guy m1 and smokerjoe.ill send them over 2 help fix this

snakelad sent me over. Let me go read from the start and see whats happened

I very much like where you chose your grow room very stealthy and with the unique shape you can just absolutely fill that space up with some dank buds in no time at all. Just so you know I comment as I go so I dont have to write everything in a notepad file then copy it over or remember everything I want to say. Im not sure but im guessing you live in a house. If you own or can make changes I would suggest installing metal crossbars to hold your light. It will take up less space. Alright going back to reading. Will comment again if I come across something requiring one. If not I will just comment at the end on your mold issue.

the main light is hung from a bar but goes from the front to the back of the room as opposed to horizontally; this way the lights are slung over it on a wire that i can raise and lower at will.

to avoid any confusion, the mould issue is taking place in a second grow area, upstairs in a wardrobe.

I hope you arent ordering grow supplies to your grow address. That is a big way to get caught. Most people are caught because of papertrails linked to them via credit cards accounts and receipts.

Snakelad also sent me here, I'm reading as well, Mold is going to thrive is hot humid areas (i.e damp soil), just from experience you nee to remove at least half an inch of top soil best to go with an inch and replace half an inch with new soul (non infected soil) and leave it dry Do not wet. You can also add dry soil after a watering and be sure to water vary light and only as often as they need it.

Spore, a crazy out of control pollen that will create mold in your buds also, be sure your humidity is low below 55 close to 40-45% relative humidity. also be sure your exchanging the air a lot with exhaust fans that can suck the majority of your problem right away.

I'm going to go and read over the journal with joe, Have a great day and hope your plants are doing ok.

in a wardrobe? you need fresh air my friend! lots and lots.

Coming into the season where humidity can become a serious problem dependent on where you live, If your RH is high I would invest in a Dehumidifier.

(Edit: If its a seedling or young plant you have this problem with and if its a continuing problem, I strongly urge you to dump the entire thing far far away from your grow and call it a cheap loss. It's likely this problem could hang if you live if the ideal conditions and could end up costing you more than 1 plant, Spores can find their way throughout your house. and black mold on your buds after spending all the effort to grow it is sickening :/)

Still reading here :) other plants look good nice room!:high-five:

problem is I'm using coir, and i have to wash the coir before i can use it (to get the salt out of it) so by the time it's plant-ready, it's moist.

I'll definitly organise some sort of dehumidification though.

as for the police, well, they've got plenty to keep them occupied right up until the last Saturday in August; this is Belfast lol

CFL should be 1 inch 2 inches at most away from the plant.
