I can't help worrying about them lol it's like the kids all over again. i was just as bad. constantly taking temperatures and googling every rash lol

I hope the extended day period doesn't annoy them... shouldn't do, I've seen SmokerJoe giving his 42 hours of constant daylight and they seem fine. An extended dark period, however, might have brought on flowering which would be ruinous at this point.

So, now I'm thinking of training methods and I've come up with only one logical conclusion; super cropping.

I've already tried mainlining/fluxing and though it seemed ok, it didn't go fabulously.

I now have few plants in a relatively large area and when i take out the two I'm using for seeds, there will be eight. This, then, does not lend itaelf to a "sea of green".

Scrog, or "screen of green" is not practical as i need unhindered access to the pots; once a scrog net is established, moving it could be damaging and if i needed to get to the pots i might need to do just that. So that's out.

That only really leaves me with FIMming and Super Cropping. I'd prefer not to FIM as this involves cutting and i don't want to cut in this grow as I'm on a schedule; i need this grow to be wrapped up by December 16th.

So, does anyone have any advice on supercropping? such as:

When to start
and
Which parts of the plant to squeeze etc

Take every top and pinch it so the stem collapses but doesn't break, and then bend which ever way you want. You can do this with every single branch or top. You can do it an inch from the top or a foot down, the branch WILL find its way back to the top eventually

Is now a good time to start or do i need to wait? i want to hit them all at once and maybe repeat down the line as necessary. I think for future grows i might have to bite the bullet and go proper hydro, so that i can do scrogs n shit.

You can start super cropping them now if you want. I'd wait until they are a little taller personally.

am not sure as to the difference, i plan to bend stems til they flop over and hope for the best lol

So, in the last like day or so since i took that last bunch of photos I've had a big ass growth spurt.
I'm not entirely sure why as I've made a couple of changes.

I rejigged the intake fans because one was removed (and put into the blue room), doing so i sealed up one of the lower vents, so this might have resulted in less of the co2 escaping.

Then there's the extended light period that i gave to the plants when i changed the light schedule.

and also, the doubling of the nutes might have kicked in as well.

I'm not going to be able to pin down exactly what caused it but I'm not complaining.

I'll just have to keep an eye on it

You got this man. And ultimately you can feed them jack shit during veg, a little here and there... Just to keep them lookin healthy.
When you flip is when it really matters.
