Blu n Lem Day 66, Flowers present for 10 days, 21 days since 12/12

This will probably be the only natural light pic of the grow, so enjoy! Blu only in natural light.

Had to move Blu to try to get some better drain pans for these huge pots. Not an easy find. Should have gone with a kitty pool.

All in all, smart pots have not proven themselves to me. The plants still dry out in 5 days, just like with plastics...

They just leak out the sides like crazy when you water them.

Blu is up to 46", lemon up to 51.5", those are with the 11" of pot height... Hopefully they are done now....

Curious if the LEDs are causing the extensive stretch and the slow flowering....

I have blue dream going right now there nice yields mine smells just like blue berry .Nice set up your plants look great .I will be chopping my blue dream tomorrow it's at 97 days I let it finish out and it rewarded me big time.

I gotta check out these autos. Grow season is so short and I only smoke a little.

Mine smelled like chocolate until today. Very earthy now.

Slow n Steady

Still only watering once every 5 - 6 days with only 2.2 gal per 7 gal phat sac...

Since last water was Tiger Bloom, this time was Big Bloom (mild organics)

Absolutely no signs of nute deficiency or nute burn

Both (Blu in front) Lem is def smaller buds than Blu, but with a thick white dot in the center of the bud.

Blu Lots of Trics growing on Blu's leaves. Now I know those are not the trics to test for maturity of the plant Still nice to look at though.

Not much to be excited about yet, but hope springs eternal.

Hoping to harvest in 6 weeks...

I guess at this point im hoping for 6oz from blu and 4oz from lem.

Lem is def farther away from her goal... really tiny buds...

Smells are getting more floral / pleasant.

I still want to blame the LEDs for the slow bud development.. but it could be other factors, or maybe they are maturing fine and I expect too much...

Watered today with heavy nutes and molasses. May flush next time...

Flower Day 25 (mid 4th week out of 9 weeks)

Day 81 from seed

Plants are flowering nicely! I am seeing a definite response to the nutes!

I plan to flush next week, which is a pain for me. Siphoning out the old water with a hose...

That should be my 1 and only flush (other than the last week)!

I really like the Vermifire soil. I never have any problems.

But, if this plant does not get huge and frosty like I see other peoples Blue Dream, I will blame the LEDs.

Flushed today with 5.5 gal of plain ph'd water per 7 gal smart pot.

Not a hard core flush, but I never seem to have any nute deficiencies.

3.5 weeks more with nutes and 1.5 with plain water again...

Trimmed up a little of the interior on both, today, too.

Lem tilted a good 30'... Must have been from the flush. Had to string her up !

Starting to get 10 gallons of condensate per 24 hours... The container only holds like 14... Spring Sucks.

5 days since the flush with pure water

Since then I have seen better bud growth than ever....

They are still very wet, so maybe I will not be able to water them again until Tuesday or so...

I think I will use much lighter nutes that planned.

Are the buds getting bigger because of less nutrients?

5 weeks left. I am planning on feeding this week and when there are 3 weeks left, then flushing the final 2 weeks...

These felt sacs don't dry out well for me at all......

Blu is still much thicker than lemon. I am a little concerned about foxtailing possibilities with blu. Just with the 2 tallest ,biggest buds...

I smoked a little I took off the bottom a week ago. Tasted like crap and barely got me high... won't try that again... EVER!

Watered with nutes 2 days ago. Accidently put in a bunch of ph down... Then added a massive amount of ph up... too lazy to start over. Plants look fine.

Blu has a little Fox Tail on the tallest / biggest bud.

Lem is getting some cream / hash tops!

Tried to snap some pics right when the lights turned off.

Looking good. I see a slight bit of brown on the edges of blu.

Could be from the heavy PH alterations, or just slight nute burn.

I plan to do a plain water on Tuesday, and a the last set of nutes next weekend.

Then plain water till the end. So 4 weeks out!!!

Lean on me....

I'm not sure what I did wrong this go round.

Both plants are exhibiting similar behaviors, so it must be environmental...

It started with Lemon almost completely falling over about 2 weeks ago.

I did not pack down the dirt this go around. I put it in the 7 gal felt pots dry, then watered after the transplant, hoping for more aeration and to have them dry out faster...

I believe this led to a loose grip of the roots...

But that does not explain the leaning branches I am getting now... It is not the bigger buds (I can't call any of them heavy weights yet), but just any random branch each day is falling over...

I am also getting a lot of lower water leaves going limp and falling off. I believe that is natural and fine. I only trimmed off about 20% of the bottom. Now its trimming itself!

This all began when I did a huge flush to get the plant roots nice and clean for their last nute doses! But maybe that loosened the roots.... Or maybe that ran too many of the nutes out of the soil....

The Lemon is getting a few metallic orange leaves, too.

Well, the puppet show will go on. Everything still seems healthy. Even if I have to bail out soon, I have some great looking buds!

Day 101 Flower Day 45

Definite foxtailing of Lem, but with cream / hash tops on the foxtails!

Pretty sweet!

I guess everything is fine.

I double checked my dates.

HSO calles for 9 weeks, so 2 weeks and 4 days from today.

I notice a lot of the lower buds on Blu have receeded hairs. The upper, foxtailed, big looking buds have a lot of new growth still.

So 2.5 weeks sounds correct.

Barneys says 60 - 70 days. I am not sure what the variation would be. I feel a desire to harvest @ 60, but we will see.

The strange color leaves are all on Lem. I thought is was a copper color. Now it looks purple. Hard to tell with those LEDs.

Day 50 of flower

These are about the best up close pics I can do.

Trying to hold out for day 63.

Lem has the cream tops.

Final full nutes were 7 days ago. Plain water 2 days ago. Hoping to use plain water for the rest. Just 2 - 3 more waterings.

Lots of nutes seem to stay in the soil, so I am not trying to starve the plant long term, just allow it to use the nutes available and then clear out.

I feel like other peoples buds continue to gain bulk / weight / mass / size at this point.

I feel like my flowers grow slowly, or not at all...

Whatever.

Flower Day 52.

I think I was off by a day or 2 with a past thread.

Had to go back and double check my dates.

Flowers definitely present on both plants since March 3.

Plain water today. 2.25 per plant @ 6.5 ph.

Blu was light. Lem had a little water weight, but it might have been all the strings...

As you can see, the puppet show has gotten a little crazy.

As soon as I move 1, another that was leaning on it starts to fall...

Hoping to do plain water again in 5, dry out in another 5, go dark for 24, and chop right in day 63!

Feelin' super itchy to give the ol' chop chop...

Both plants keep swayin and get tied one way, and the next day need to be tied the other....

8 or 9 more days...

The plants really don't smell unless I caliper pinch them for density. They my fingers stink.

Blu smells like blueberry syrup, like an artificial blueberry.

Lem smells like lemon candy and real lemon. Almost burns the nose...

I assume I am loosing THC every time I do that, so I try to do it as little as possible.

While they feel very dense, they also feel like thick cellulose. I feel like other peoples plants look like beautiful buds, and mine are just leaves, stems, and more leaves and stems...

The massive blu dream tops that are a culmination of fox tails are mostly still white hairs, but all the lower growth and all of lemon look ready to harvest...

I am seeing a couple dark specs on one of the cream tops.... So in the back of my mind I'm like "gotta chop now, gotta chop now. Fungus is coming, fungus is coming..."

And with the way they are currently tied up and with the more powerful fan, from my access to the tent, it looks like a lot less weed. So I'm like "there plants are fading fast. Gotta save em' now. Chop! Chop!"

And my hands start twitchin' like lobster claws...

Just had to vent to decompress...

Tomorrow was supposed to be the last day for water.

I feel like Lem looks cooked already and Blu looks like it needs another week...

Just the huge tops of blu. The lower buds look finished....

Lem ended up looking better than blu imo. Interesting...

Flowers Present at least 58 days

Both plants are bone dry.

Can they go another week?

I am troubled by yet another controversial cannabis topic: Does harvesting at the beginning of the harvest window reduce body effects?

Because that is my goal.

Also, I really want to harvest both plants on the same day...

You can see neither plant has started to yellow. But both are showing signs of needing water. I guess they could last today, they tomorror in the dark, then chop on day 60.

Or I would give them a big flush today and have to wait a week for harvest....

I will try to pick up a lense to get some up close trichomes pics ASAP, as they either need harvest or water...
