DV8 Does Dalliance: A Dabbling In Autos

Question.

With photo girls I know the last couple weeks makes a big difference in bulk and density of the buds.

Curious if Autos are similar?

The reason I ask is they seem to have a tonne of white pistils, but the breeder sheet states theres only 2 weeks give or take to go. Looks like heaps of time left to go, barely got any trichomes kicking in, so do Autos typically finish faster than photos? Maybe go hard late?

Look like theres easy a month left, basing it off next to zero experience though. I feel like Im being that person, but today I guess Ill have to be....(when will my flowers finish, how much yeild will I get lol).

Anyone able to advise?

Not that I ever really trust the guides. Fuck theyve even said 90/10 split on CKush, seems pretty heavy toward the sativa side to me. Defs not a little.

I've been tracking these things for all of my grows and the average length of one of my auto grows is 87 days.

Been a minute. Time to put a pin in Critical Kush, Chrissy.

92 days.

Will round out with a final harvest weight and smoke report in time.

Well Ive consulted the Oracle. The end is nigh for Adalita.

Just to play catch up.

The ugly.
Never beat the mites.
Shes thrown a couple nanners.
Its curtains for her tomorrow. Wont make the finish line.

The bad.
Shes been forever.
She would go light weight.
The LOS was out of gas long before the end.

The good.
She responded to nutes. Next Auto be a bit closer to proper management.

She threw out everything to bud. No more trimming lower node growth on an auto.

She smelt great.

Hit the bottom of the pot. Chrissy didnt even go close.

She gave me a taste of mites, and how hard I have to work. Way harder than than I had imagined. Now I know.

Lastly, she taught me how to let go. Im sure now. Theres a point its just too far, and it doesnt matter the reason.

Thanks for jumping on the ride. Lets hope my current adventures end much more productive.

Officially this chapter of the grow adventure is over. Another Bittersweet one. Time to move on.

These are valuable lessons. I'm interested that you changed your mind about cutting the lowers off. Are you going to do an oil infusion on the bud? Will it have any potency at this stage?

Hey Carmen, I missed this.

To be clear just the nodal growth on the main branches I mean.

I removed everything but the upper colas on each branch. Adalita said nope, and regrew. Next time I wont remove, Ill let it all grow if it has acess to light.

Being autos thats no problem, very little fan foliage.

I let her live. Ill look in a week. Whatever has happened Im ok with.

I have everything to make a form of RSO, but didnt try yet. However Ill give it a go as my numbers grow, yeild and quantity of plants.

Heres my first fridge dry harvest. Copious notes were kept, but I wont bore everyone.

One thing for sure worth mentioning is the colour. Im certain they retain much more vibrancy in a cold dry.

I think maybe 6/10 result, which Im ok with. Drying is still a process Im an eager student in, in other words needing far more practice to be comfortable that Im competent.

Any feedback on the end result is encouraged. Pics only tell part of the story of course. Didnt get a final weight yet, my eyes and hands say between 1 & 2 ounces. Before any more goes out Ill get a scale weight.

Chrissy, Critical Kush.

Looks good.

I find over time the buds brown up in the jars once curing.

Put the tally together, just over 3 Ozs dried and cured from both the girls, Adalita went a bit heavier than I thought she might.

Ive not heard back about Gorilla Zkittlez, but I thought it went ok, little lighter buzzy smoke, more my wheelhouse, enjoying being buzzed while staying active, cognitively coherent, and a smile. A chatty, lets go for coffee vibe.

We had a good try of Critical Kush between friends and family. Not my favourite.

Really got me quite philosophical, a deeper stone. Will raise a few giggles. A good movie high, or relax after a long work week and put on some tunes.

That wraps it up.
