Well here we are again! Another day, another update and some pictures for fun! Welcome along everyone. Let’s grab a blunt, a munchie and get into this shall we!

Autoflowers are growing and getting bigger slowly. I have lowered the lights over the last 3 days gradually to 24” to see how the girls will respond so far all is well but the PEa1 is still sad unfortunately. She is however progressing and getting bigger even with her droopy appearance.

All the autos are close to needing a watering so next round there will be some adjusting to nutrients.

This being PEa1 will be getting PHed water with Voodoo Juice for root stimulation and to help clear up the nutrient excess that’s possibly there.

PEa2 will be getting an upped dose of calmag and a light dose of veg probably for the the last time by itself before I begin mixing in bloom nutes. She is also showing signs of calmag deficiency thus the increase in calmag for her next feeding.

The plan of switching from Veg Nutes to Bloom Nutes will be simple. Once the autos have reached full flower or have basically stopped stretching I will begin adding in 1/4 strength bloom nutes to the mix to begin the transition and tapering our my Veg Nutes slowly watching my “N” levels. Calmag will be upped accordingly if needed and BudCandy will be continued through until harvest.

CCa1 is doing well healthy happy and perky. She’s starting out with some nice budlets all forming which I hope to turn into some crystal Candy rocks!

CCa2 is doing great! Frosty and looking happy as I was inspecting her today I noticed the first things of red hairs! o_O Wasn’t expecting that. She’s got a lot of colas that have benefited from the LST training and bending.

Now onto the critical girls. Yesterday I missed their photo shoot so I was sure to get some today. Day 3 of flip and the new growth spurt is just starting. I took a measurement today and from the top edge of the fabric pot the plants canopy sits at 8”. I hope to get some good stretch out of them to really stack up the colas but I have a good feeling about these girls stealing the show later on! ( refer back here ). I will be doing a heavy defoliation around day 21 to open up the plants for airflow and allow light down to the bottom Budsites.

I also clipped a clone from the critical to get roots on hopefully and pass it back to the original owner for a mother plant!

I am very excited to see the big flower tent start stretching and really showing off. My first quadlines going into flower fun times. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the training process of the qaudline this far and I am already looking forward to doing my next ones!

That’s about all for today and I appreciate you joining me yet again on this wild ride.

Stay Safe. Stay Medicated :Namaste:

If these were mine I'd be in full flower nutes by the time the stopped stretching. I make my transition during the first two weeks once they are really showing pistils, and by the third week it's flower only. And you've got some nice pistils there!

That's me though .
I always like hearing people’s thoughts and their experiences! Makes sense I was on the fence of starting them or not but maybe I will on the next feed!

Thanks Shed :high-five:

Fantastic job once again Dutch! You have truly done some amazing things with these autos! I just sprouted 4 myself, would you recommend one method over the other so far?
Hi HH and thanks again! Well to be honest I love the uniformity on these auto quads but the compact size really makes it tricky to get in and water underneath. The LST ones are definitely more vertical and bigger but the one PEa if she was happy would easily be the biggest and brightest of the group! I am working towards bringing her back to her lovely self but time will tell!

Sorry for the ramblings I guess here’s my thoughts. If your running 4 of the same autos I would try at least 1 with the qaudline method to see how the plant fairs. Some autos are sensitive others are more hearty. If it takes well to the node removal and topping then you will know for next time. Also I would look at breeder specs and how long they take to start flowering. If it’s an auto strain that usually Vegs for 30days I would attempt the qaudline since it will give you the time to train and manipulate after the topping process before it starts flowering!
Remember the rule of thumb for autos is you want to try and top between days 14-21

Hope that helps in some way haha! I’ll be sure to be popping by and tagging along though so I’m excited to see how yours do!

I agree with Shed on getting bloom nutes started before stretch stops. It’s time to get flowering started in a big way.

Thanks Penny! The girls are actually more dry than I thought so I will be feeding/ watering this morning! Fingers crossed I can get PEa1 back and perky!

It does help! Thanks Dutch :) I have 2 and 2, like yours. I also have two wee ones that are at 18 days today. I don’t know if they will be autos or photos, but I’d like to top them at least, if I can. That 14-21 day rule of thumb helps me with those as well. They’re just now making their 4th tiny nodes, maybe I’ll top them if they grow out enough in the next couple days. :thanks:

Jan.23

Hello and good day my friends! I hope you are all well and staying well medicated! I’ve got a little bit of a lengthy update today but bare with me as we roll on through it! Here we go!

Well PEa1... this girl is continuing to be difficult but growing still none the less. Today all the autos were dry and needing water/feed. After getting input I decided to introduce bloom nutes this feeding and back down my veg. My feed mixture was into 1 Gallon of water:

-5mL CalMag
-8mL Voodoo
-2.5mL Veg (reduced)
-2mL Bloom A (introduced)
-2mL Bloom B (introduced)

-8mL Bud Candy
PH:6.2
PPM:503
CCa1 and CCa2 got fed this mixture today since they are both healthy and moving well into flower.

Both the PEa girls got a different mixture. In 1 Gallon

-5mL CalMag
-8mL Voodoo
-1mL Veg (reduced)
-2mL Bloom A (introduced)
-2mL Bloom B (introduced)

-8mL Bud Candy
PH:6.3
PPM:473
Now I had mentioned before I wasnt going to feed PEa1 but after looking closer at her she has lost the lighter tips and is progressing into flower.

I felt confident with a light feeding she would be ok. I added in voodoo juice for root bio and I hope that with a root boost and a light feed I will see some improvement. IF she doesnt fair well from todays feeding she will be getting a flush in the future and starting from there after running some tests of runoff ppm.
CCa2 is really holding to her name being Crystal Candy! Shes turning out some early frost and is doing well!

CCa1 quadline is really getting some good looking budlets forming up! I wish she was a bit bigger but theres still lots of time.

PEa2 has been stretching still and I added an extra binder in the back to pull down a branch and spread her out. Shes moving further into flower and is getting clear budlets forming.

Finally a quick word about the criticals today. They both needed a feeding and so I mixed up some nutes into 1Gallon of water. Each plant got 3L of mixed water.

-5mL CalMag
-8mL Voodoo Juice
-5mL Veg

-8mL Bud Candy
PH:6.2-6.3
PPM:457
These girls have begun the stretch. I noticed today that a few new bright green tips are poking out and starting to reach to the lights. Im interested to see how much these actually stretch. With the above feeding it is the last time with only Veg nutes since next feeding I will begin tapering them out and adding in Bloom nutes. They need watering every 4 days roughly so this will put them into their 2nd week of flower and they should have pistils forming and budlets showing. From there I will knock out the veg nutes and ramp up my bloom nutes.

Ok..
I think thats about it! Ill be pulling out the macro lens tomorrow in the auto tent and get some closeups of the buds and the trichomes. Will be fun to take a look at early trichomes and see how they progress over time. Anyways thanks again for spending some time with me tonight and I hope this blunt will take you on your way!

Enjoy. Be Safe. Stay Medicated!
:Namaste:

I love it when they double in stretch!
I hope so! I would really enjoy a good stretch on these girls! Next few weeks will tell but they are looking really good so far!

Nice update Dutch! You got pistils popping everywhere :thumb:

So far so good except .. well... you know but hey I’ll get her turned around yet!! There’s time!

So I was looking at the autos this morning and to my surprise PEa1 is looking better. I need some reassurance though as I feel I may just be seeing things? Lol

Here she is as of this morning.

This was her yesterday.

Finally I was tinkering around and got a few closeups of CCa2. She is getting frosty already and I can’t wait to see how she turns out! I’m hoping for some thick resin rails on her and all my girls for that matter lol!

Update later today!!!

Highya Dutchie,

Love that closeup of the Crystal Candy. She has some very nice trichomes! I think you are right about the Pineapple express Quadline. The 4 tips have grown noticeably. Are they still stretching? Looks like she'll outproduce the lst'd PE 2 to 1. That would be awesome, especially in an auto. Cheers
