WARNING:
LOTS OF PICTURES + LONG UPDATE

Whats goin on everyone! We are getting a massive snow storm right now and I have been enjoying my time indoors! Its been a pleasant morning with all the girls today. Autoflowers were trained and the criticals were watered and fed. I wanted to break this update down today into individual plants. I feel that they are ready to start taking their own spotlight and I will be doing a big update like this as much as I can. So to start this off lets take a look at the autosflowers.

Pineapple Express Auto#1 - Quadline
So this little lady was the one that showed the most signs of stress recently during the light change. After a few days of the lights at a height of 30" she perked up and is looking great. Since she is just starting to flower it was time to spread her out again and really open her up. Here is a before and after.

Now since is one of my quadline autos im following a selective defoliation technique. I have removed target fan leaves that you would be blocking budsites and really opened her up for her explosive growth to come! Now I didnt remove as much as I would from my photoperiod quadlines just the very needed leaves to properly open her up the way I want her.
These few leaves are what I removed and while I was in there I noticed her center stalk looked great with some purple stripes on the ajoining branches. Also taking a closer look I noticed the first sign of her budlets starting today!

Pineapple Express Auto#2 - LST
Now this girl has been stretching this past few days. I have been wanting to tie her down and spread her out a bit more so yesterday I bent her main apical stem to the side again and tied her down. This moring I tucked a few bigger fans the best I could and then tied down a few lower branches really opening her up. She is looking great and really starting to take shape! Her budlets have been forming and pushing out more pistils each day. With continued LST for the next little while I should be able to get some good cola sites and maximize her potential. Heres some before and afters of her training today.

Crystal Candy Auto #1 - Quadline
So this girl has been short and compact since the beginning just like her sister. They are both the furthest along in bud developement so far with lots of pistils and beautiful bright green flowersites! Now she was really needing to be spread open and tied down. I also followed the selective defoliation on this plant as well but removing only target leaves blocking bud sides. I got some nice shots of her buds starting to form with lots of new pistils and healthy growth. I cant wait for these girls to get bigger.

Crystal Candy Auto #2 - LST
Well now.... This pretty little number has some frost already! Her smell is just starting to come out with a sweet vanilla and pepper. She was just as tight and clustered as her sister so a good bend and tying got her really opened up and exposed a bunch of new budsites to the light! Ive got some nice closeups of the trichomes already forming on her and some training pictures as well.

To finish this lengthy update off I have a few more pictures!

:thanks:
Alrighty then! Thanks for reading all the way through if you did I know it was long but I appreciate each and everyone of you and your time! I hope you all have an amazing weekend to be and stay medicated my friends!
:Namaste::green_heart:

EDIT
WOW ! I completely forgot about the critical+2.0 girls! I guess I’ve had a few to many gummies this morning lol! Alrighty then these girls got fed today with a light feed mixture in 1Gal if water.

-5mL of CalMag
-5mL of Veg Nutes
-8mL of Bud Candy
PH : 6.1 to 6.2

They got topped up with soil and the ties were secured.

Tomorrow is FLIP day and I can’t wait!
I’m eager to see how much these girls will stretch cause they are happy and healthy and ready to push out some monster colas!

Ok now that’s it! Haha

Stay medicated and enjoy!:ganjamon:

Hiya Dutchie,

Very nice update. Looks like the PEa 1&2 are a lot longer into veg before flowering than the Crystal Candy. That's real good to know! Very informative documentation! Thanks for all your work and pics! Cheers

Hey Bode! The PE autos definitely veg longer than the CC autos and I’m happy that they did! The PE quadline is a big girl but she’s still a bit sad.... I’m trying to get her figured out and back to her perky self again!

Thanks for admiring the journal and work so far! I take great pride in these plants and I am really enjoying running this Journal! I think I will be continuing journals like this for the future since it’s great for me to look back on and hopefully is helpful to others who follow along!

That’s my biggest goal! Assist others in growing these lovely plants!

Stay blessed and medicated!

What’s going on everybody! Another weekend has come and gone and with that brings the start of a new flowering cycle here at the Dutch house.

With the Autoflowers blooming and getting bigger it’s becoming a fun and smelly time here yet again! The CCa autos are really starting to put on their flowers and it will soon be time to look at transitioning them slowly to flower nutes. I’m really impressed with CCa2 so far her colas are just exploding with pistils and the frost on her is already pretty impressive. I’m pretty excited to see how she develops.

I will dive into this transition plan in the next update. PEa1 the girl that struggled the most with the light change is still a bit sad. I’ve got the environment dialed in with my controllers keeping temps stable between 70-77’F and humidity at 50-60%.

Looking at her closely I have seen slight lightened tips on a few new leaves indicating the start of possible excess nute and beginning signs of nute burn. With that being said when she needs watering again in a few days I will be just giving her plain phed water. I am also thinking I may add in some Voodoo Juice to help stimulate the roots and give them some additional vigor. Voodoo juice is recommended at the first 2 weeks of flower and since she’s just beginning I figured it’s a good time. Since it won’t be adding any additional nutrients just micro cultures to the promix to help with healthy root growth and nutrient uptake. I’m hoping this will stimulate her upper growth for her to bounce back with some great vigor! I’m going to get her back in shape if it’s the last thing I do! She’s a gorgeous girl so far and she’s got a lot of potential just making her happy is going to be the part that takes time I guess!

Now the Critical+2.0 girls as you may have guessed got flipped today! Day 61 is the first day of 12/12 and I must admit I’m very excited to see what these girls have in store for flower! Seeing @playerunknown almost at harvest now with their mom has given a real good feel for what’s In store and I can’t wait!

But for now I will let you enjoy the rest of your day and I wish you all a happy and safe week ahead!

Stay medicated!:Namaste:

I dunno Dutch...such a high end grow and then a dish towel in a plastic tray. So downmarket.
;)
Lol I know! My small humidifier just isn’t keeping up with it and even with the added tray with the towel I’m only up to 40%! That HPS eats moisture I swear lol

:laugh::rofl::laugh::rofl:
Ooo reeeally....
Awesome growing Dutch... Maybe you should switch jobs?!

I would love to go into a career grower! That would be awesome but with the marker and field as folded as it is would be hard to dive in now!

I’m happy growing top shelf meds for myself friends and family though!

**Missing Photo Today**
Jan.21

Hello and welcome again to another fun filled update! My apologies in advance I ended up working later than expected today and wasn’t able to get pictures of the critical girls before lights went off for the night. Tomorrow I’ll be sure to get some good shots of them since they will be starting Day-3 of 12/12.

Now let’s talk about these autoflowers. PEa1 is now becoming my problem child. From getting sad and droopy from the light change to bow possible signs of nute burn.

This girl is going to get the full TLC treatment as I nurse her back to that healthy self I know she can be. Looking at the light coloured tips starting it tells me that next time I water she will only be getting PHed water and voodoo juice. The voodoo juice is to help with root bio and to hopefully get some vigor back. With my last feed being right around the light change it must have added to her stress as she then ended up with an excess of nutes and is just beginning to show it. With a healthy serving of PHed water I’m thinking she should bounce back and pick up her game again! Otherwise she’s turning out to be one good looking girl and I look forward to turning her around and getting her to harvest!

Now PEa2 is pushing out more pistils by the day and is getting bigger still with minor stretch.

CCa2 is getting some bigger colas forming up and and has some frost developing. She has a very pleasant and sweet smell to her so far excited to see what she turns into!

CCa1 the other qaudline girl is doing great. She has nice healthy leaves and isn’t showing any signs of problems or deficiencies. Onwards and upwards!

Now as mentioned I wasn’t able to get any photos of the critical girls today but when I checked on them this morning they were looking fantastic and praying to the lights! I’ll be sure to get some great photos of the girls tomorrow and get some measurements to document stretch!

Exciting times I just say and I’m very happy to be getting some plants back into flower!

But that’s about it for this update! I wish you all an amazing remainder of the day and stay medicated!
:Namaste:

Hey Dutch looks like your grooving in here :goodjob:
Hey so google “house of hydro”
That’s how to go “high end” for humidifiers. I refill my humidifier once every week at most. ;)

Thanks archi I’ll definitely take a look! I think I can manage this winter with what I have but for my optimal VPD I’ll be investing in a heavier unit for next winter!
Temp and humidity controllers are wicked though I’ve never been so happy with my temps and getting my RH dialed in is definitely the most tricky part especially in winter here in Canada!

Forgive me, what temp and RH controllers did you go with? The house of hydro sells ultrasonic fogger kits and you select how many discs based on the size area you want to manipulate the RH in. I went with the 12 disc because we like shit big in Murika mmmkkay? But seriously, we do. :thumb: The 12 disc was overkill. The 5 disc would likely get the job done. It sits Ina little plastic tub that floats and you can put it in any size container you want so long as it doesn’t run out of water. I used a 27 gallon tote from Home Depot. Duggan gave me some good advice with regards to humidity, he said you’ll never be wrong if you keep it around 50%RH. It works good in flower and veg and although it may or may not be constantly in the perfect VPD zone, it sure makes it easier to remember. The main factor then becomes heat or ac if needed right?

I’ve got the full inkbird system... humidity and temp controllers for both my 3x3 and 4x4 tent.

I’ve got the 3x3 dialed in perfectly with the setup. Humidity is at 55-65% and temp is locked in at 70-77 from lights off to lights on.

My 4x4 I have the temps good at 76-82 lights on and 68-72 lights off and 35-40% humidity is my off factor there. I’ll try and email hydro and see what I can come up with! A heavy humidifier on the controller would be sweet !
