Nice roots and good troubleshooting Dutch!
Thanks Sauga! Hopefully they rebound quickly and take off again!

those 2 in the back corners have such a nice shape. short with huge stalks. And i love how the leaves on reveg always look waxy and super green. nice pics!
Thanks Remy! The quadline training really helps keep them low and build a strong stable structure! I also love the look of reveg leaves haha very unique that’s for sure!

Unexplained drooping has always meant root bound here as well!
Good to know! I usually try to transplant before then but it happens!

Dutch I am in need of another light and I was wondering how the budget LED compares to the Mars Hydro lights I am looking at their SP250 or the TSW2000 and was wondering how Budget LED compare Pros and Cons of their lights compared to the Mars lights.
Hey PC and good question! There are a few differences between MarsHydro and @Budget LED I’ll send you back to this post where I upgraded from 2x Sp-150 to the new 250W SQ 4K from BudgetLED. There is some details and information there I think you may like as well!

Update

Well good evening everyone!

All the IHG girls got transplanted today. They went from 1Gal to new 1.75G containers which will give them some more room to grow until I am able to harvest the 4x4!

Hope to see these girls bounce back and take off quickly after today’s transplant with some added Mykos and a healthy feeding!

Then moving over to the 4x4 these girls are starting to really pack it on! This is hands down my absolute best run and I look forward to progressing even further from here! It’s been an incredible learning curve this round so far from figuring out my automated watering system, and a heavier defoliation method to name a few!

But enough talking for this update...
Enjoy some photos and Stay Medicated!

The 4 x 4 never disappoints.

Gonna need to start wearing a sweater in there with all that frost.

Looking great Dutch! I see a bit of tip burn. It's not getting worse is it? I'd wanna be sure the BE was doing the trick and not overdoing the trick.
There is some mild tip burn but nothing I am worried about! The health of these ladies is unmatched from any of my past grows and the BE hasn’t done anything negative! Especially for how much and how often I have fed with it! Now a few girls have taken it a bit harder than others but for the most part they are all very impressive ladies. I’ve made notes for each Pheno so when I take my mother I know where to push her to!

Im lucky that with 9x plants, 3x chemovars and 3x Phenos of each that they have all been happy on the same feeding plan! I’ll really be pushing them once I start running clone runs!

Those root bound plants are gonna be so happy! The 4x4 looks great (says every Jeep commercial ever)! Must be the light the BE the CO2 your green thumb something good. :)
 Thanks Shed! Everything is working harmoniously and it shows.

Nothing wrong with that! I like a frosty lady

Trying to stick with the journal name haha! The Frost Factory is in full motion!

The Frost Factory - I've definitely come to the right place!

BTW - Congratulations on your JOTY award!

I'm still pretty new here and trying to get settled in - and I could use some advice please.

I got a 4 x 4 tent recently and I want to grow bigger taller plants this time. My last grow by myself was okay, but the plants and buds were small.

Right now, I'm planning on 6 plants - and I'm hoping to grow them to 4.5 feet (1.35 m) - to maximize tent space; but I'm noticing you have 9 plants fitting nicely into your 4 x 4. How tall do you grow your plants?

I'm putting a lot of time in up front planning right now - and is there anything you can think of to make my grow in the 4 x 4 a success this time?

Thanks in advance!

Looking good as per usual Dutchie. Actually it's looking better than usual! It's looking busy as well. Do you work? Lol. You've probably explained this multiple times in painfully excruciating detail but how many mothers are you hoping to end up with by the end of all of this?
:passitleft:
Lol yea I work as a contractor/business owner and also a full time gardener
It has changed a few times and probably will again lol but in the end I’ll have around 9-11 mothers I plan to keep and I’ll be cycling through them!

Do you have the light penetration for that kind of height?

Oops! Good catch! I meant 4.0 feet tall plants (unless I cut into the attic like @Preston9mm :) )

This means I have to penetrate about 1 foot of free space above the canopy, and then 32 inches into the plant - I've been reading about how to lollipop the bottom third (16 inches) of the plant.

I plan to flip to 12-12 when the plants are 2 feet tall - I expect them to double in height.

I have the Mars Hydro TSL 2000 and I'm thinking it should be able to shine down 44 inches overall.

Hmmm - Is 12" too close to the top of the cola?

Thanks again @InTheShed - I'm still a little nervous about asking question :)

Your plan has a similar outcome to mine but instead I'm hoping to find 10....or so to keep. I might then continue to grow new strains alongside my keepers and if I find something I like more then I will swap it with one of the mothers I'm bored with. Maybe. My thoughts have been all over the place recently lol. First though I've got 21 plants to whittle down. Cheers Dutch

Pretty much my plan as well, although I'm not sure I'll be able to keep more than 6, and that's only if I can keep them bonsai style and in 6" pots. If not, well, it will only be 3.

Here's my first 2 mothers in 3" pots. I'll only let them get a couple inches taller than they are now then I'll trim them back again. In theory I can get 12 in a 1ft x 1ft space.

So far I've not had any problems keeping them this small. I'm still experimenting though
