I’m excited to grow some purple strains but I’m most excited to try growing some gorilla! Not sure which ones yet I have a big selection but we will see! Maybe a group vote haha!

Everything here is just on cruise control now as we come closer to the big Girls final days! Early Miss 1 is close to harvest sad but very exciting! I’m taking another test bud tomorrow because I was checking her again this evening and I’m starting to see a few ambers so I want to take another test nug to really scope and get some good pictures of. Now I know there has been talk about the dark cycle before harvest and here’s what I’ve ended up with. Since my light schedule is 7am(on)-7pm(off) the only way I could give her a significant dark period would be a 36hr tent blackout. Now in this time EM2 would be in there as well in total darkness but still weeks away from harvest. How bad would it be to her if she got blacked out for 36hrs? Now my next option is to just run her normally and black her out at 7pm and harvest first thing the next morning at 7am. I know it’s not the full dark cycle but that’s about the best I’m going to get with this girl being so big and my limited options. If the 2 girls were finishing together it wouldn’t be such a big fiasco but regardless here we are!
@Pennywise and @InTheShed what would your thoughts be on best results finishing EM1 without hurting or damaging EM2?

If you blacked her out for 36 hours she would be very confused and could potentially hermie. I had a timer brake on me and my plants were in darkness for a few days. I think that they got stunted a little bit but 3 out o 8 hermied pretty badly

The only strain I did a dark period on didn't show/smell any different. Of course it may be strain related, but I wouldn't chance messing with EM2 just on the off chance it might marginally improve EM1. EM1 is going to be killer no matter what.
Technically I'm only 40 mins into the day lol. It's bed time soon! I'm good though 
Yea just skip the long dark period.

Thanks Penny! When I have more mobile plants I will definitely be testing the dark period ! It’s just difficult for this girl this round!

I hope you all are well and enjoying your Friday so far! I know I am since I have it off wooohooo!
Today I have the start of a WEEKEND UPDATE BLITz!
There’s going to be some “BIG” news dropping!
What could be in store? ..... Patience please!

Now as for the beginning of my weekend blitz let’s take a look at the big tent! Today I’m going to be showcasing EM2 the mutant girl and all of her beautiful tops forming. She has multiple clustered tops all looking great so far and starting their colour change on the pistils.
Isn’t she looking pretty! She’s tried her hardest to match up to her big sister since I chopped her up but she has impressed me every day since! Can’t wait to see how she actually turns out! Now with my BIG girl EM1 I took another bottom sample bud from the lower back portion that I could find the lowest small bud branch on. Let’s take a look shall we!
Mostly cloudy still some clears in there but I can see a few amber colours starting to fade in so I’m going to give her another week I think but I will be watching her trichomes this week to see how she goes ! The upper main colas are showing more amber colouring and the odd “solid” amber so we will keep our eyes on her! Looking for 15-20% amber before we chop!
The smells of this little branch are very strong and it’s now drying on my tray in the cupboard!
Checking in on the small tent ! Temps and RH are in check in pretty happy about them!

The buds just keep getting thicker and thicker I love it and man are the purples coming out a lot now! Can’t wait to see her in her final hour of glory!

I harvest with the lights on everytime, but I only cut the branches that are ready. Usually it takes me about 2-3 weeks to harvest a plant fully because I harvest from the top down, I always give the unders another week or two of light to firm up and mature more. I have heard about longer dark periods prior to harvest but have never tried it to compare. I wouldnt tho if you have another plant in the room with it. LOOKS BOMB BRO!
