Dusted Bud Genetics In High Brix Grown By BrixNewb

Today's update brings something new to the Dusted Bud journal: Purple XJ x Cali Dreamin! I just popped two beans in soil, should see them in about 4 days.

The Pliny Lights x Cali Dreamin girls in the flower tent are looking nice and healthy, they will be a bit taller than the other girls in the tent. I am interested to see how the flowers and frost come in on these girls, I have seen other growers using their strains and they have always looked great.
 
Now that I have two plants in bloom from my first Dusted Bud strain, Pliny Lights x Cali Dreamin, I decided to start with my next Dusted Bud strain, Purple XJ x Cali Dreamin. I popped two beans the other day and here they are. Not the best photography, but nothing much to see anyway.

Well, the Purple XJ x Cali Dreamin sprouts are still in Solo cups throwing down roots.

Pliny Lights x Cali Dreamin #3 is in a 7 gallon pot in the bloom tent, she still hasn't been watered since moving over. She is making buds right now, Recharge will be in order soon.

Pliny Lights x Cali Dreamin #4 was getting really tall so I did some supercropping on her two tallest nodes. She is building buds nicely, I threw the Recharge+EWC in her pot, next watering they will be watered in.

I will be sure to get some pictures for you guys next go around.
 
I was in the grow room looking into the grow tent and decided to snap a picture. This gives you an idea of my grow inside of the bloom tent, which I think is quite the sight right now. Attempted to color balance it.

Ok, back with a little picture update from the flower tent. First up we have Pliny Lights x Cali Dreamin #3:

Next up we have Pliny Lights x Cali Dreamin #4. She has two branches supercropped, but they are making their way back to upright with a quickness! I believe she is about ready for Cat Drench, going to solicit the Cat Drench thread and see what they think there.

I have to say that I am pretty impressed with Dusted Bud Genetics so far. These two plants have been troopers and have stayed nice and green so far which is not the usual for me so far. Excited to see how they turn out.

Thanks BD, #3 is ready for the Cat Drench, but not quite dry yet. #4 has gotten her second Cat Drench and is looking lovely, you will see them both in tonight's update.

The vegging girls are doing well. When we last spoke we had two seedlings and I have since planted two more beans of Purple XJ x Cali Dreamin. Here they are:

Pliny Lights x Cali Dreamin #4 is doing quite well. She has had both Cat Drenches and is making some nice buds!

Pliny Lights x Cali Dreamin #3 just got her first Cat Drench. Probably a bit late, but she is taking forever to dry out, so I did it when I could.

Much thanks Snid! I am very happy with the Dusted Bud strains I am growing. They seem to be hardy and very easy to grow. The cycle is just beginning to come online and I am one excited father when it comes to these girls, let me tell you. I am glad you stopped by, hope to see you around more often. I will have to come visit your garden as well!
 
No pictures today, but last night I was in the bloom tent inspecting all the girls. I brushed up against Pliny Lights x Cali Dreamin and the smell was heavenly. Such an amazingly intoxicating citrus smell. I am VERY excited for this harvest.
 
I am still very happy with the Dusted Bud Genetics strains. I have Pliny Lights x Cali Dreamin #3 and #4 really putting on the flowers. These plants smell absolutely amazing! They have a heavy citrus smell that is quite intoxicating.

In veg we have 4 plants from the Purple XJ x Cali Dreamin line. These are non-feminized, so I started twice as many as I hope to flower.

Thanks Snid, today finds them a bit droopy. They were thirsty, plus I believe it's time to move them on to bigger homes. Other than that they are both doing well, as are #1 and #2 in the one gallon pots. Still a way away from showing sex, but I patiently wait. Could really utilize the space in the tent.

It appears as though we had a CalMag deficiency that I did not address on both #3 and #4. #4 is really looking good, nice sized nugs everywhere you look, really excited for this plant to come down, the smell on it is absolutely magnificent!

They look delicious.

RE cal/mag deficiency. I think it's better viewed as a soil life issue.

Alright, so in the future when I see these signs, hit them with the Rescue Drench? Or would this have been a case where the Blood Meal mixed at the bottom of final pot would have helped?
