Dusted’s Traditional Hydroponic Grows

I am rocking the new demon in my 4 x 4 and loving it. Last run I flowered under the Full Spec and had great results. I'll post pics under our bud page.
It look interesting. I’ll have to take a look
Coming along nicely I have noticed the cal mag increase with the led and I am only 2 weeks into veg.
I’m embarrassed I allowed the Ca deficiency get so bad. Rookie mistake after 40 yrs of growing. My excuse is I switched nutes and the new light

@Budget LED Im pleased to say I just pulled the plug for 2 x 250 W red spec 3000 k xl heat sinks. I don’t need the uv switch if you have to assemble them.

Thanks for the continued business!

We do have boards without the switch. Do you want those instead?

Might as well. These two boards will only be used in flowering.

OK @DutchinAB I did my part. Your turn.

I had previously decarbed and infused 30 g of DrS 30:1 CBD into 500 mL of coco oil. Today I decarbed 80 g of stored GG4 to add to it. The bloody foil pouch spilled buds all over the oven when I went to flip it. Salvage most of them, but what a stench in the house as the remainder smoked off. Poor cat my have been exposed to THC, which I never do. Ended up with about 300 mL of oil which should be 10 mg/mL CBD and 20 mg/mL of THC.

Haha awesome dusted! I will be placing my order as well!

Is uv light not needed in flower?
UV is only needed during flowering. If these were used for veg then the switch could turn off the uv during that time

Congratulations Dusted on the new lights. Also curious as to how your CBD & THC oil is. I am will be doing the same after next harvest.
Haven’t tried the oil yet. Maybe today.

Congrats on the new lights! With the addition of two more lights for flowering are you going to stick with four plants and veg them longer?
I’m trying to stay legal so I will stick with four plants. Can’t veg longer without topping and training which I haven’t done in years. The new lights will provide more coverage in the room so the backs of the plants will also be lit. I got the new hooks into the ceiling waiting for the lights, which arrive on Thursday

That is going to be one seriously bright garden with all that led power! Do you use a light meter or just read/react to the plants?

It’s a fairly large room so the walls are a distance away, so not much reflection. But yes, it might be overkill. No meter but that is a good idea. Thankfully I can dim the lights if it’s too bright. Better too much than not enough

With a larger room it doesn’t sound like overkill at all. I mean yes the led can burn the tops if too close or too intense but it’s still a good idea to provide as much direct light as possible. I like it! Your next garden is gonna be something!

Yesterday I made some edibles with the 2:1 THC/CBD oil. I used about 150 mL in an egg free brownie crisp mix. It called for butter so I figured the oil would work. I turns out without the water present in the butter it didn’t glue together. It is actually pretty easy to work with though. Yesterday I tried a teaspoon of it and got a pleasant buzz. The CBD seems to add a body component to the stone. I will have to be carful of it though. Tonight while impatiently waiting for the new lights I did a slightly larger amount of the brownies. Maybe a heaping teaspoon. Dont want to get any more wrecked than I ended up. This stuff sure acts fast on me. I feel it within 15 min, it peaks at an hour, and lasts for hours.

The lights finally arrived at 8 pm. Got them unpacked and put into the grow room but couldn’t hang them. They didn’t come with any ratchet hangers, so I had to order some in. Should be here tomorrow.

Can’t wait to see them hanging!

You’ll be glad to know I did my part this afternoon and placed an order with budget as well. We could have almost combo’d shipping lol.
Nicely done. I wonder if they are starting to notice Alberta?

I received a postal notification that my seeds were delivered. Unfortunately someone in Ontario got my seeds. I live in Alberta. I wonder if I will get someone else’s seed shipment? I emailed the seed company, so we shall see what they have to say.

Got one of the new lights hillbilly hung with only two ratchet hangers, just to get at least one up. I didn’t like the way they wanted me to mount the ballast though. They wanted it mounted diagonally on the heat sink so the corners hung over the edges and the cords dangled. I instead zip tied them onto the heat sink so everything fits and no cords in weird places. I’m pleased with the placement of the new light. It’s one thing to do calculations on paper about where you want the lights but sometimes it doesn’t work out. I gave an 8” gap between panels which is what the main light panel separation is. The new hangers won’t be here till tomorrow so I will fix this one tomorrow when I hang the other light. I didn’t get the protective coating on these lights and the diodes seem much crisper than the coated ones.

@DutchinAB what light did you buy?
