Evening all, took a few pics today. The four KK have grabbed the soil..they like what they find....yeepa , yeepa! Have acclimated to the Budmaster just fine. One pic shows the massive 26 pot (s), homemade "rootbuilder" . Bin using these (rootbuilders) pots for a number of yrs. now and i see no reason to go back to nursery pots, these work fabulously. Oh, forgot to mention, just came from Ace's website and have a pack of 100% Sativas comin to me......"Lilly" fast flowering Sativa, supposed to be really fruity with loads of resin...
Looking really healthy Duggs! I have the Lilly as well, maybe we can run them together. I had to try the snow moons 1st though so the timing should work out pretty good.

What size pots are you using, 26 gal? That's a lot of soil. How big are you going to grow them? My first run I used #10's and plants out grew tent (4x4x7). Moreover, large pots are hard to water correctly. But I'm still learning. My crew use #60's but I'm happy with #5's. Threes need water every other day and are to much work for my grow.

Mornin Mill....ya they are 26 gal's. and they are a breeze to water correctly...they can hold 6 gal's. but they usually get 4-5 at a time which usually lasts for 5 days. I use a 2 gal. green plastic (standard can) watering can...they get two of those down the top spread about 10 min. apart ...just to get the water to disperse evenly! I just love using these pots...lots of soil to draw from later in bloom. Remember there are two in each pot , so each plant gets to use ALL 26 gal's. Bin using them for a while now and really like how they grow and yield with them! Cheers eh!

Nice setup, lots of nutes though with that much water. I mix 4 gal for 3, #3's and 1, #5. But one #3 gets about 5 qt's. I'll run off about 15% to ensure no dry soil in pot. With large pots it hard to get good runoff and to remove water from tent. My shop vac gets dumped 3x when I water all 6 plants. Lots of work in your grow I see.

Hey Mill, ya with the water...when I tear down my pots to renew soil, etc., the remaining moisture in the soil is very evenly distributed throughout the whole pot , every time, never have dry areas and the roots from both plants are spread out as well throughout the whole pot. Me likey! My goal with my GR and these pots is and has always been 32Z's , or two pounds of finished produce. I now know that with my present lighting I can't reach that goal...I need another big light or two more smaller ones. My set up is great thru veg, and early to mid bloom, but later in bloom their just isn't enough light at the outer edges of the GR. I'm working on it!! Cheers eh!

Two pounds, the most I ever managed was 830 grams with the barrels. That was for one plant and only because I had to postpone starting flowering.
Last night I decided to move the larger KK I have to the barrel. It has only been two weeks on the soil ageing but the temps are staying around 71/72 and the PH has stayed between 6.5 and 7. It could be a mistake rushing the transplanting. Time will tell.
Just plain water and only two gallons at planting. I did add one gallon after I had the soil in place the day before.
My climate control is poor, especially this time of year, too dry, too hot, day and night. As soon as the Taxes are done I can get the evaporative cooler going.
For flowering I have two 1000 HPS in a 4X6 room, though they are turned down to 750W. The vegetative side is a mix of light, HPS,T5, T8, COB LED, that is not distributed well. Hopefully I can change to mostly LED by the end of summer. That is a lot of money though.
Also, I have what I am about 90% sure is a KK 25 days into flower in a 15 gal plastic pot. It should make a good baseline plant to compare results. The young KK is not much to look at yet but pictures of both after lights on in the flower room at five.

Canyon, wow brotha, sounds like you've got a lot of heat issues with those two 1000hps lamps burning. That's what I used to run as well and the heat was just too much for me...that was the ultimate reason why I switched to LED's. Without them I just couldn't do what I do bud...can't afford extra cooling or the hydro to run it. Just made total sense to go all LED. Keep me posted on your KK progress would ya, and thanks for the mini update on just what you have going on. Ya, that 15 gal. you've got the one KK (maybe) will be just fine for a big plant indoors and will be plenty big enough for a decent yield too! Cheers bud!

Duggan, the only LED I have is the COB that I am using for vege.
How much light do you have for flowering?
I am ok with the heat with the curtain open. With it closed and venting through ducts only it climes rather quickley to over 100" at the canape.

The girls are looking brilliant as usual Duggs! Gotta love the kushes eh? I wanna do a pile one day...more than im allowed I reckon lol. Once I buy a house Im gonna have a dedicated room like yours but larger I think. Next year ill get a legal growers card here in Colorado, right now I can't for various reasons. I've met a friend that knows commercial contract growers and he wants to get into something like that again. I might get in on it with HB...We'll see

Hey Canyon, wow, they look very lanky and skinny. Not sure if they're KK?. So cool to have a look at em C,...just confirms , other looks i've had ....it's why i'm really trying to keep them , short, full, thick , and green. The KK likes to stretch and is already just a medium yielder, so , my challenge this grow , is getting them to produce....alot! I am 100% sure of the quality,...that's not the issue, it's how much, this time. She's supposed to make any herbalist his or her fav. after trying it! We've all heard them say that....i know, but everyone who's had it , raves about the flavour and potency.
It's pretty cool your along for this grow C,....i'l do my best....About the lights in bloom.... got a pic or two....hang on....

I see your situation....it's tuff to really get anything going when you rent. I think they can come in after a three day notice can't they. Anyhow , sounds like you've got a plan...ya , i'de go with a GR bigger than mine too. If i had a choice , i'de like to still only do four or five plants but at least be able to walk around them and care properly for them, all thru veg. and bloom. Right now it's very tight and hard to do that. cheers pal....Have an awesome Sat. night...think i'l go down and fire up the vape...
