Duggan Does Kosher Kush With DBHBB: 4 Plants, Two Pots, Lots Of LEDs!

Hey Duggan, Do you buy the steel flange with your can filter?

I'm not Duggan, but I can tell you the flange sells separately. :battingeyelashes:

The young ones are gripping the soil nicely Duggan. Here we go again. :slide: :circle-of-love:

Thanks Sue....ya Noob, when ya buy the combo , ask them for the flange to fit. The people who have the fan will have the flange for sale....it's no good without it , so they will have it....it's very inexpensive ...a few bucks to buy is all. Have a great day Gang! Cheers.

Sorry to muck your journal up with these questions but where do you get your combo at. I was going to get a 6" Hurricane and the can filter 33 on the zon. I saw that there was the flange for it but it was $15. Your plants look great btw.

That's cool Noob, no worries . I got mine at the local hydro grow shop here in town. My combo is an Ostberg 6" and a Can #33 filter as you know. That fan will work for you...the flange is a lil pricey , but you need it so,....Don't forget to buy a speed controller too .You can get them off flee bay pretty cheap...think mine was 20-25 bones. It's an Active Air , 15 amp, 120 volt , control. When you get the four pcs. fan , filter, flange and speed control, make sure to also set it up with the fan pulling air thru...NOT pushing it ...know what I mean Noob. Have the run of ducting as short as possible with as few as possible direction changes in it OK! Cheers pal! Let me know when you have all the stuff....i'l guide you thru the set up if you like. Later Gang.

He's very good at this Noob. He walked me through the installation of my set-up and if a 61-yr old woman can pull it off on her own, I know you can too. :battingeyelashes:

OK. Thanks Duggan. Right now I have a ventech 4" with controller and carbon filter (I haven't hooked the carbon filter up yet because I don't need it yet). This is all in a 42"x36"x96" closet. It looks like this:

I cut a 4" hole into a hallway closet for the passive

I will have a 96 watt T5 and a 400 watt MH in this space. I really don't even have to use the exhaust fan much. The closet is only 4 or 5 degrees warmer than room temp. I am only running the T5 now though.

Your not 61...ya can't be Susan....your prolly the most independant , hands on , woman i know! 61....bahhh! there prolly isn't anything you couldn't do, if you want to....very inspiring...to say the least! Cheers my good Sue!:green_heart:

What the heck is up with your signature, bro?
Half the time it looks perfect, but then the next time the text descriptions are gone and they are back to the URL links.

(probably only happening to me)

The hurricane and can filter will be for the 4x4 tent I have to setup this weekend for a flower room.

Ok Noob...when you fire up the 400 MH in that small space your temps are gonna climb ...alot! Be prepared for all that heat bud...ok! If you can , remote mount the ballast outside that lil space, cuz they throw off a bit of heat too. That lil 4" exhaust fan in there will do the trick as far as exchanging the air...no probs. Your passive hole is good....i do something similar for my space...cut a rectangular opening in my rec. room, at floor level to let fan /filter draw cooler air in from there. works very good since the GR is sealed ...it has to draw that cool air in...i put a fake cold air return grill over it to make it look like such. I'm not sure how important "stealth " is to you guys but watch the lite leaks from that lil hole. looks like your on your way. Oh, btw, all you need for fresh air , for the tent is a similar passive hole...no intake fan is needed. When you get your new fan/filter combo and you put it together , it's very important to get a very good seal between the two with a rubber gasket that comes with either the fan or filter OK! if you don't have a good seal there the fan will want to pull the air thru the least resistance and a poor seal will let it do that. Later Noob.

Good 2 know.
I figured it was just me because I've also been having on/off problems with the links for new posts. Sometimes they work, but next time they take me to the first post for that day (which I've already read) even though there are plenty of new ones.

Thanks Duggan. I was worried I would have problems. The 400 watt and 600 watt that are in the tent are both air cooled if I want to air cool them. I think I won't have a choice in the closet.

What is the ambient temp. where the tent is...it's a 4 x 4 right...with a 400 and 600 hid light in there...it's gonna get very warm. Be prepared to cool the lights. Do you have a couple small circ. fans yet...a good 12" oscillating table fan is good for the bottom...clip on smaller fans are great these days too, for upper air circulation. Just some thoughts for you two. Cheers .
