Good morning gang! Looks like the three girls will get the 'axe' this Sat. New pistils have just about stopped and are receding, turning golden. 2 out of the three are in perfect shape for Sat. but one still has some maturing to do this week. Cheers everyone ...have an awesome day!...:circle-of-love:
Stubborn beaches.

Nice man hoping for some nice whieghts bud.

Great night everyone! Just wanted to show how the BT's are comin along. They found the DBHBB soil in the bottom 1/2 of the pots...:surf:...They have only gotten lil splashes of Transplant ...they're going to be lanky , i can tell, they have a very Sativa look to them. Gonna be fun. Have a great night gang!:Namaste:

Very interesting. I'm not very experienced on judging future growth and was wondering what you saw that made you come to the conclusion that she would be sativa dominant and lanky. The insight might help me choose phenos in the future and judge my own plants growth. I usually don't figure out they're lanky until there mid flower flopping all over the place.. lol

That pheno between my knees is going to be different than the other three. They are more Indica dom. I can tell by the growth habits of each. The three shorter ones have closer internodes and a 'squatter' appearance. Just get used to different phenos..this will be a good run though , getting three out of four , homogeneous. Looks that way right now. Cheers T.:high-five:

Like the growth space between each new fan leaf growth? Shorter means more indica? Cool learning thanks for sharing.

If grown under T5 bulbs you will have tighter node spacing anyways. But since all 4 are under the same light, you can definitively see that they are different. Sativa dominant phenos don't care what they are under, they do what they want lol.

Looking good duggs. I honestly thought about your little ones earlier while tending to ours. I thought, "we haven't seen any pictures of them". Lol. Very nice color and vibrant. Have a great night bud.

Thank for the explanation. There a lots on misconceptions on the net these days and in the beginning I tried to judge them by there leaf shape but that didn't really work out for me, especially with hybrids. For some reason I always assumed that a slender leaf meant sativa dominant until I grew my first Purple Urkle. She had slender leaves with rock hard nugs with a hardcore indica high. I was stunned, everything I read about cannabis leaves flew right out the window after that harvest. Internode spacing makes much more sense than leaf shape. You got me thinking about my ladies now and what they may become.:thumb:

Are those t8's duggs?...I use some 17 watt LED 4 foot tubes for side light that run off a t8 ballast...run super cool...always thought they would be great for seedling/veg...mine... kinda/sorta fell off the back of a truck...so, I use them cause I can...lolool...given the nature of your grow style...prolly not necessary...just putting it out there for chits and giggles...along that line...IMHO...t8's are are enuff' for vegging and are cheaper both in acquiring(could be sourced thru' restore shops) and cost to run than t5's...I know...you know...again just some opinions...and rambling...Thank you Carling...and Dr. Krippling...lolool...cheerz...h00k...:Hookah:

Duggs, how long do you keep these plants under the T5/T8 lights before you put them into flower....... :Namaste:

Also, are you cloning or growing from seeds.....I want details.....because you are doing a beautiful job..... :thumb:

Top of the day to ya Hook, yes they are T-8's. 4 of em.

Hey Shawnee, how's it goin today! They are T-8's in a thrown away industrial 2' x 4' 'lay in' fixture. I keep them under it for exactly one month while I'm waiting for the main room. I do 3 crops a year with a one month 'overlap' that allows me to grow each crop for 5 months from seed,...always from seed ....no space for clones and all that. This allows me to grow them big so I get a good yield. This flour. fixture is ALL people need to veg up to 6-8 plants very effectively for about a month ...give or take. When they do go under the Budmaster 2 and get transplanted into the 26ers , they don't like the LED's right away and take about a week to get used to them . This happens EVERY time but they ALWAYS recover to just love all the LED light , but it takes about a week. Growers think they need all those fancy and expensive T-5 fixtures...they are kind of a waste of money IMO. Being an electrician I was able to get my hands on an old T-12 fixture ,..then I just changed both ballast's to newer T-8 ones and I've been using this for a long time now....cost me ZERO dollars...(got the ballasts from work very cheap:)..) The lamps in there are 6500K in case anyone is wondering what they are. When I start them I only use two of the four lamps also ...I just spin two of them out for a couple weeks while the plants are tiny.
In the past I went thru all this with growers who need a good vegging light and to just do what I have done, but most want the fancy , expensive T-5's....don't need anything special to veg for a month or so...my plants seem to turn out OK! Cheers Shawnee, hope this answers some of your Q's.
Cheers to ya and the gang too!:circle-of-love:
Oh , I forgot to mention too...T-5 fixtures and lamps require a special, much smaller socket too..which are a big PITA. Cheers

Im not Duggs but he grows from seed every round. He has no where to keep clones so he has to do it this way. I may be wrong about this part but i am pretty sure he starts his seeds when he has about a month left on his flowering girls. ;)
