Hey Mr. Ya,...i'm in a very bad mood right now!!!!!!! My son broke my brand new laptop. Cracked the fu...n screen . Just paid 400 dollars to have it sent away for one to three weeks for repair. Very, very upset! Last two days of holidays with the boys ,..and this happens....long list for that money....now it's gone. My own fault for trusting him with it....BLAH BLAH...FFS's.
I cant even like that comment Duggs. Thats no good man. I hope your day gets better as it goes on.

Had to share a story ... 
We have a saying in our house about kids and broken stuff. We have a darling little nephew, but he's always been ... bigger than himself ... rambunctious ... clumsy. But he's a real sweetheart and he's always sorry, y'know? So one day we're over visiting and he's 3 years old and he comes into the room with something cupped in his hands and says to his Dad "I bwoke dis". Dad holds out his hands, the kid dumps whatever it was into dad's hands, looks contritely at him, and turns and leaves the room.
"I broke this ... "
It was just so friggin' apt, you know? "I broke this - sorry - my bad - your problem - sorry again - can I go now?"

That sucks about your computer. $400 seems high, almost buy new one. I need to get new laptop, that way I don't have to use my kid's, they don't like the old man using their computer. They think I'm spying on them lol. I have to get some help for my oldest, he's addicted to porn, I think that's all he looks up. That's why I bought him a blow up doll for his birthday, that's true story, my inlaws about shit when they saw it. Just done it to piss them off. Sad thing, I really think he used it lol
FFS Buck that is hilarious! Im sure he was unimpressed opening that in front of the family. Porn addiction is a real thing. I watched a documentary that was talking about how watching porn messes with the brains wiring and can end up being as addictive as some drugs. So long as he isnt hurting anyone and can maintain a healthy relationship with a partner of his choosing (if he is old enough) then I wouldnt worry about it. In my messed up family we were all exposed to porn at a very young age and have always treated it as a normal thing.I think it seems expensive as well then I remember Duggs has the almighty Canadian dollar to deal with and I justify it that way. I can get an ok Laptop for like $300 new. The new ones have almost less memory than my cell phone though and I dont get it.

He was 15 when I got him the doll. It was funny, he unwrapped it in front of his girlfriend and whole family and friends. He was speechless. I was brought up same way, I still haven't talked to my mother-in-law , wish I gave it to him 10 years earlier.
I also thought computers were cheaper now, but I forgot about Canada and the dollar exchange. My iPhone has plenty of storage, 128g or 256 can't remember without looking in settings. It's the biggest 7plus they have. I use it for everything. But my employer pays for it.

A very great morning to ya gang! Thank you all,..Beaves, Gray , Gazoo, Buck, Yeti for helping me cope with this as i don't very well. That was 350 plus tax which brought that repair up to 399 dollars,...and yes , that's in Canadian dollars. They said it's a 1000 dollar laptop and worthy of the repair. The thing is....that money was 'marked' for many other things....don't forget ...i'm on my own here...it's only my pocket/wallet/ bank account that feeds us, etc. , so it's fine to just say "oh well" but "oh well's" not gonna cut it ...know what i mean!
Anyhow , i had a fit yesterday when i looked at the girls....they were in NEED of a drink and i thought i had water ...nope...had to rush out and get three 5 gal. jugs to give them a drink...was really rushed and stressed over it as Mare was on her way over for a BBQ and i noticed too, that five branches had fallen over on the back plants. NOT GOOD! I had to scramble and try and fix things. I gave them four gal's each pot!
On a good note , the colas and buds are really getting thick and the GR is filling up with big , massive Blueberry Twist buds. Boys go home today after supper , then Mare's coming over for an 'Adult' time before we both start back to work tomorrow. Pics coming soon,...i promise...

I feel ya on the single income. That's why I do so many side jobs, got 3 new houses to rough in, just don't have time nor energy.

Shit man thats a lot of storage. The new laptops I was looking at had between 16 and 64 gig hard drives! WTF is that. My 7 year old laptop has 250 or 500. I know the new hard drives are different so maybe that makes a difference but it was very off putting to see that when I went to look at new ones. By the sounds of it you really love your Mother-in-law...

When it rains it pours Duggs. Lets hope yesterday was just a minor bump in an otherwise good grow/summer. It is hard being the only one taking care of a family and I understand your stress. It seems every time I set money aside for anything something always comes up. I always get upset with it more so than I should (you dont end up with Yeti in your name by being calm and level headed all the time you know) but have tried to just roll with the punches the older i get. Less stress is always a good thing. Hit this Querkle and try for a better day

I don't understand why the hard drives are getting smaller. My old laptop was 500g. My PS4 has 1tb.
My mother-in-law always wanting to borrow money? I always told her I don't loan money to people that don't work, she won't pay back. 3 kids and life to pay for, not much left.
I've been working 80-100 hrs a week, full time job and side work. Just to buy my toys(light builds). Have slowed down the past few months, I think I'm just wore out

Ive got those around me that always want something for free. It is all the worse when they expect it for free and cop an attitude with you when you say no. People do not seem to realize how hard it can be for all of us to stay afloat. I wouldnt be able to work 80-100 hours a week. I have a full time job and my grow that is enough for me. Factor in life and family and there is little time or money left.

The smaller disk drives are probably all SSD that you're seeing. The new trend is to have a small solid state drive for the system drive, then put everything else on a standard SATA drive. It speeds them up significantly. I was messing with my brother in laws computer and asked about the splash screen when windows 10 boots as I've never seen it on my laptop it goes by so quickly. I think mine takes about 5 seconds to fully reboot.
