I agree, id never use plastic if it’s going to be heated. I’m actually waiting to see how some cobbing comes out in small mason jars... instead of using those plastic vacuum bags so I can avoid the plastic there too. Good advice Amy!!Mine looked like this last time... yours will be bigger! Or you could do 2...
Like a tinfoil Cornish pastie!
I haven't done it yet, @SweetSue is experimenting with it I believe.I’ll have to come and check that out daj! I’ve kinda ruled out cobbing for now because of the plastic. Am curious about this mason jar approach...

Awesome! I’m happy it’s working even if it’s not quite the same. I was thinking of using those really tiny like 1/4 pint jars. Fill one to the top, press as much of the air out by fingers, then use a vacuum top to pull the rest of the air out. Would be a challenge, and not sure they have the vacuum lids for the small ones. I’ll look around!! Thanks SS!!It’s become something of an obsession. Lol! I’ve only tried once but I was much impressed with the results. They’re not the same as fermented cobs, but the potency is somehow enhanced.
There are vacuum sealers for the jars. Next harvest I’ll be trying this again with one, but it worked simply putting the jar into the bag and sucking most of the air out.
Made me a little nervous that I might crush the jar, but it worked.

Hey nice find Gazoo! If I go that route I’d probably only get a few to start... in case they break easily. I think I’ll run and check those out! What about something like this, Glass Cigar Tube with Plastic cap ?
Could maybe drill a hole in the plastic lid, or even remove it place COB
in tube, tube in vacuum bag open end toward suction. Thinking the vacumn
would still be there and the glass would protect ?

Your test tube experiments eh Gazoo....well, we woulda never guessed that you woulda done that.....lmfao...The ones I have are very heavy/thick glass, but they were from my Grandfather who passed many
years ago. Somehow I still have them, when I was a kid they were used in my TEST TUBE experiments
