How long do they last? Could you use this to dehumidify a small tent by placing it at the mouth of the intake fan?
It's just rice, so you heat it up before you use it (not in the stocking BTW). As long as the rice doesn't burn you can reuse them over and over. You could probably do an entire tent if you had enough rice! And the time to keep cycling it in and out. Probably why they invented dehueys! How long do they last? Of course, but I’m playing around with powerless AC and it would be awesome to add dehumid also. It helps because of the Rh of the area I live. It’s muggy hereNormally you would dehumidify the air already in the tent rather than the intake, no? And I don't think the rice works fast enough to lower the RH of air passing around it at 240 CFM.
How do the buds feel? It is pretty packed in there but i wouldn't go raising the temps much as it won't cycle enough to pull the moisture out. What's the rh in the room the frig is in? If it's less than 80% I would open the door up for maybe 15-30 seconds to bring the temp up so the compressor kicks on more to help pull the rh out. Do that a few times a day and see if it helps out.
Opening the door more often will help considerably. Compressor working more often = less rh inside the frig. If you can it would be best to open more often for a lesser amount. 5-10 second 5 times a day is better than 15-20 seconds twice a day.
