Trim then wash, it’s really quite simple after you’ve gone through the process one time.

hygrometers powered up first time to test lol got em in fridge, what temp range is ideal for fridge btw, it is adjustable so can be raised or dropped..
i will cut and wash the target girl later tonight when lights come on then leave them overnight to drip dry, waking up early on the morrow to trim, and bag up for fridge. il do it this way for time management ..

Just don't freak when they get mushy the first few days. Just make sure you tumble them a couple times a day. If paper bags seem wet replace with dryer ones. This is only the first few days then things start to dry some on the outside.

ok soni have cut 80% off my critical, left some of the lower airy buds to get a bit of light for a few days
this is whats left and what came off
all the hanging stuff on the left of the red line
the royal haze auto freak on rightt of red line
removed 2/3 of that one.
gettig late so i didnt clean all the fan leaves as nicely as the critical, its late ime tired and had enough aha will clean it properly when i wake and start the final trim and bag..
whats left lol that lower stuff again can get some light a few days, i plan to make some fhic oil from some of the one on the right and probably whats left on the left.

i should mention those royal haze auto freaks were seeds produced from a royal haze auto last summer and i believe the auto gene didnt pass on strong enough, it started sprouting pistols at week 5 and by week 12 had the smallest little preflower buds all over but never stopped stretching, outgrew their tent and went to shower, continued stretching and around week 12 were put on 12/12, lol that was about 7 weeks ago. have started to harvest this one as its trichs around the top colas were fully cloudy and im desperate ro get my bathroom back, the one on the right still has some time to go.. not expecting the best quality, they havent had the best environment in there lol couldnt do much about the high temps and humidity at times..

these two babies are my gas
they still hve some clear trichs so waiting on them lol glad they are coming down at separate times though, imagine doing this all at once... my lights come on at 9pm and started the chop after watering the ones to stay and my other 5 babies in the veg tent lol long nighh and busy morning ahead...
the critical was behind these at the back

omg this shit takes soooo long
took me 7 hours pretty much non stop to just do the critical
early this morning, cat having a nose
two piles on the right the critical
one on the left royal haze, chucked them to fridge like that when i realised after a couple of hours this was no quick job
and all bagged in fridge
847g wet weight, 14x 52g 1x54g 1x40g 1x25g and around 110g of trim bagged up also.
not bad? lol

i have 3 more plants tocome down in the coming weeks, the two gas have even more on them that the critical...

lots or airy crap bud on the royal haze which went to thr trim bags
180g wet trim and crap bud
268g wet trimmed bud
wasnt expecting much off these as they had a hard time and i wasnt as careful trimming either
but its done and all in fridge finally.
now more waiting lol
Did you cut the buds off the stems before you bagged them? That's part of the low and slow process!

most of it yeah, just a part of some the top colas i didnt strip all the way, partly why it took so long i guess lol but i made sure a mix in the bags of sizes. i know too much stem in there delays the process a bit. should i strip them all the way you think? didnt take many pics lol fingers were sticky
I believe the theory is that the extra moisture in the stems makes the process a little too slow, and might increase the risk of mold in spite of the cold temps. If the buds are attached they will continue to draw moisture from the stem and not dry as expected. It adds another (damp) variable to the process.
