@Mars Hydro FC4800 @Prescription Blend @DYNOMYCO Raised....
DAY 2 DROUGHT
@CannaPot BIG BULL PHOTOPERIOD, "MAESTRO": TRICHOMES

This girl gets prettier by the day....

Don't forget about GOOD OL STELLA

Happy droughting! Be back with Day 3 of Maestro tomorrow!

Wanted to thank @Hafta for jumping on and offering to share his amazing documentation of his personal droughting experience and filling in for me when I didn't have the before and afters right at hand.

Thought we could play show off your coral day in some BONUS FOOTAGE

These pics side by side have been requested multiple times now.

Anyone else who wants to share their pre and post drought trichomes, feel free to do so right here!

DAY 1 DROUGHT TO HARVEST TRICHOME PICS (I just screenshotted some trich shots from the beginning and took some today of STELLA)

Wanted to both display and accentuate the morphological changes that the trichomes take on in response to this stress technique.

I totally think this coraling is what gives the finished bud it's profound trichome glaze as these long trichies just wrap themselves around the buds as they dry.

BEFORE 'CORALING': DAY 2 DROUGHT

After 'CORALING' (2 WEEKS POST DROUGHT)

Amazing stuff friends idk what else to say but bring me some smoke and I wish I could share!

Great pics, Krissi! Really shows the longer and twining trichomes. Maybe there really is something to this after all.... :hmmmm:

Lol.
I'd like to think I'm not just over here aggravating my carpal tunnel with these extra posts I do on this thread

I really do wish there was something for us to reference off of with these trichome morphs but I am really stoked that this could become the reference years from now....super exciting stuff to be a part of this with you and our friends

I just love trich photos. I haven't heard the term " coraling " before but it makes perfect sense. Here are a few from a droughting Panama

Look at those long, beautiful fingies!!! Omg! Glorious trich shots, I love them too! @StoneOtter wants to make them into posters! Thanks so much for sharing these with all of us Hafta!

Coraling. We came up with that. It was funny cause I first showed my father pics of a bud I grew a while back and he said, "Wow. It looks like a piece of coral".
Then @AutoNautPsychoFlower started using the term coral on my threads whenever I posted stuff.

The term we have now deemed 'coraling', seems to have rose from the droughted ashes of wilted leaf remains that floated away on an ocean breeze and landed in a sea of eternal coral reef bliss

You remind me of some snorkeling the wife and I did in Jamaica .................

Is droughting ready for the next Phase?
I do not have the space, nor the expertise but .... I have an idea and I believe @StoneOtter may be able to help.

Since droughting is a last ditch effort by the plant to remain reproductively viable and it changes the GRN, has anyone pollinated a droughted plant to see if the GRN changes become standardized in the next generation?

Yes!

Ooooh buddy...

Me and pollen are like oil and water right now but Stone????!!!

You know what I have seen, being the GRN follows suit of the mother; when I monster cropped my droughted Amnesia, Ammy, her droughted clone in Ammy Jr was 5x more sugary than her mother.

I know it's a step before this step but it's another step. Maybe?

Ammy (droughted mother)

Ammy Jr (droughted monster crop)

Not I. I've only done it at the end of life. Good thought!

Thought about it since he mentioned it. It would be a process of reveg and flower. All that time!
Is it possible to harvest 75% or more of a droughted plant, then pollinate? How long does it take for seeds to mature following pollination?

5 weeks they can take so InTheShed hit it on the head with a reveg. You have a point. Maritimer has a lab that says there's an unnamed component in them after a drought. That's to be looked at some more.

and that is where a goodly chunk of the future is at.
