Thank you! I'm grateful to whoever nominated me, but will say it was a surprise! I just like to share what I know with someone who might benefit.

Definitely all ready loaded :green_heart: Great job so far !!!
Thanks Burk!! She's gonna be super frosty soon!

I know you do. You bring a lot of growers together that way :thanks::passitleft:

I think the 7.5 day drought rendered a fantastic finish for Onyx.

Big O is going into cure jars as she hit under 70 just a little bit ago.

Another happily droughted collection of buds, here's a few!

Limelight Day 1 Drought: Trichome shots and Plant Pic

Looks like we did this one just about perfectly timed. May be a straight from drought to harvest.

She is not like Onyx in that her soil is already drying up so we shall see if she doesn't follow suit...2 completely different strains regardless of how close they were in height....

Be back tomorrow!

Of course. One hit harder than the other but it was hard to tell them apart!

LIMELIGHT DAY 2 DROUGHT: SUGAR SHOTS

ok, so then,, day eleven of my first 'hempy' droughting effort.

P1180202.JPG

no need for a side by side,, i would say the 'look' of the plant is suggesting that at the very least i was able to somewhat closely replicate the affected 'look' of a soil drought

P1180191 (2).JPG
P1180199 (2).JPG

right side is the droughted plant.

i have no other plant to compare with so,, i for sure think the plant looks trike 'heavier' for sure

again i got the dif colour thing goin on a bit,,

after a re watering the plant bounced back quite a bit in quite a hurry,, the gonner leaves are of course gonners, and quite easy to pull right off,, a bonus indeed

i will update again in a cpl days to give some kind of useful comments

peace out agin friends, for now

i might ask one q iffin y'all don't mind,,

does the plant look droughted 'enough'? as in,, not the trikes,, but the look of the plant,, does it look 'stressed' enuf?

edit,, one thing i did kinda notice looking closely,, it seems the droughted plant has a lot more clear trikes than it used to have,, a bit working against logic there,

is that cuz there is a bunch of fresh noob trikes on the scene?

and harder to find an amber trike now,, again,, odd ish

Thank you @Azimuth and @Stunger!!!
@nivek this drought was awesome so! You did auch an amazing job replicating the drought. What a prime example of how a drought can be done in hempy!

I don't know about you, but I am with Niv, I definitely see an increase in trichomes on those buds! I love the pinhead for measure!

Thank you so much for participating in the name of cannabis science for improved medicinal grade buds!

Sorry I'm so late had to go food shopping!

ONYX DAY 2 DROUGHT: TRICHIES/LEAF SHOT/SOIL MOISTURE

She is already pulling away from the pot yet still extremely turgid on her leaves. We shl see how she progresses. So far, she's liking it! Back with plant pics in the AM!

Nice to see some of the early questions and speculations earlier in the thread being put to the test.

Maybe soon we'll have enough data to provide specific guidance for the different media.

:goodjob:

That and thrown to the wayside...some said it couldn't be done at all.

Couldn't agree more. At least we have a good starting point. That's how we all began this journey-we all had to make that first step and I am grateful that @nivek went ahead and took that leap for us!

So after a brief peruse and some pondering over this drouted plant i am wondering where all the amber i saw before the drought has gone.

And because the plant looks so good right now it has got me thinking about the potential benefits of drouting the thing again

A double drout.

Any thots?

Limelight-NYC DIESEL
Day3 Drought: PLANT SHOTS, leaf/trich focus

So Limelight is showing some yellowing here on day 3. Her leaves are all still very turgid-even still praying in most cases. She also is showing some CMag need in a couple spots like Onyx did.

Her soil is very dry but other than more sparkles, I don't see anything else going on here on her, just chugging right along!
