Quick Pic Update

Hey everybody!

Not much to report. The British Thrips are still invading the Sauga backyard but I've got VG's garlic juice in hand until the Castile arrives. By then it'll probably be well into flower so I probably wont do anything at that point.
So without further ado, here's a few pics.

lmao ... you said you were the class clown!

That's a September photo of the month for sure!!!!

MrSauga beautiful plants. Looking forward to the future updates.:thumb:
MrSauga did you say you feed MC to your grow? I need advice on measuring the MC to a gal of water. I found a feeding scheme it is in ml. And, I want to see if it is the right measurements to use for my grow. It starts out 0.53 ml in the first week. What ya think?:hippy::hookah:

I use 1/8tsp = 1g as my conversion factor, ie 4g = 1/2tsp. I found that I'd be within .1g + or - without fussing with a scale. That was good enough for me.

My schedule looks like this. Start at 1g from seedling and increase every 5-7 days by 1g. I also throw in some Dyna Gro Pro-Tekt and a Cal-Mag product that is similar to Botanicare's. The other 2 products are optional. If you see deficiencies, up the dose, see tip burning, back it down. About as simple as it gets.

I may have said I was in a class of clowns here :P
The gardens looking good McSauga. Foil socks! One day I'll read through your journal without the convulsive laughter fits lol
McSauga, lol, really? Always where your diapers before entering Professor, accidents do happen here.

Depending on the stage of plant, as an example, the seedling stage requires 2g/gal. 1 US Teaspoon (4.9ml) = 6 grams, so you would need about 1.6mL
Advanced Nutrients has an interactive feeding calculator. I recommend using grams and not mL as your measurement, since you have more voids in a teaspoon so not as accurate imho.

:thanks: MrSauga. I's use grams. :hippy:

farside05 thank you for the feeding schedule. It is very helpful. I'll have to order Pro-Tekt. Your garden is beautiful.:yummy: Have a good Week.:ciao:

Hey everybody!

I'm unloading some pics today. As for an update, the plants are still alive and doing well. Both have started to push pistils now, from around three days ago.

Thanks Beez... outside of staining the deck most of my summer chores are done. The grass is an ongoing battle with the dog
Is that your Japanese maple in the background ,behind and slightly to the right of that big green planty thing?
....that's nice...
Why yes, yes it is. Technically it's Mississauga's; she has two of them. They are beautiful I must admit.

Hey everybody!

All's well in Saugaland with the outdoor girls. I recently switched from General Hydroponics Calmag to Sensi Cal and I'm enjoying the extra calcium it provides. Keep in mind I use v1 of MC so during flower I have found that calmag helps the plant finish off.
The problem I thought I would have with it is the higher N level at 4%. This changes my nute mix a little bit since I like to keep within a 2-1-3 NPK ratio. The tradeoff is OK since I use slightly less nutes now and less calmag. I use 2mL /4L of calmag and with the protekt as well it allows me to use slightly less MC.
I didn't spend a lot of time with the positioning of plants for this photo session but try and enjoy them anyhow :)
