Why was rosin on your seeds?lol. I think your delusional. Or really high.The 3 X 3 Mars Hydro Tent and TSW-2000 are on their way and should arrive by the end of next week. I'll put them under my 'blurple' if necessary.
Seeds Ready for Scarification
I use crusher dust to scarify the seeds, removing any bits that are larger than the seeds. They are just shaken with the crusher dust in an old pill vial for a minute or two. Coarse sand can also be used. This step will remove any rosin on the seeds and score the seeds' coats making germination easier.
The seeds were dropped in water recovered from my dehumidifier. One immediately dropped to the bottom due to the crusher dust that was on it. In a minute or two it rose to the surface.

Think Salt was talking about trichs/resin on seeds after harvest making them hard to germinate. Hence to why they were darker in color.

lol, beans grow inside a little shell skin. I would be mad if I spent 50 bucks on a pack of beans and they came with crud on them. I never had a problem popping a bean, it’s funny how complicated we can make such a simple task!
Exactly, they grow in their pods, but they start to split open when mature causing some germination issues because of the shell being tough.
Dont think anyone is complicating poppin beans around here.
