Use lots of tape to keep the moisture out, that's your biggest danger with DIY. Humidity gives moisture & moisture & electrics give fire. If I was building one I'd solder the wires together & shrink wrap the joints. Are the power supplies moisture proof? If they're not, you need to seal them. Undo the screws & take off the top & use some silicon sealer to seal it. You could also use grease :)

If you know how to solder Doc then Mr Skunny's way is the proper way:)....i am shit at soldering:)lol....i dont know why i have so many problems but i do......dad was a whiz with it and it burned himm to no end that he couldnt teach me or i couldnt be taught....either way i never heard the end of not beign ablle to solder:rofl:lol
 
Thanks guys, I just happen to be a soldering expert :) :)

Ive even got some electrical solder. That's a done deal and makes perfect sense. I'm going to buy stranded wire to run from the terminal strip to the power packs. It will be much easier to work with.

I'll take a pic of the power pack tonight!

I've decided on my hanging method as well. I'm not going to use the cooling fans either. I always complicate the crap out of everything.

Hey buds!

It took a lot longer at Pops place than I expected. Haven't had a chance to touch the DIY but my plan is going to be a very simple wire and pulley system. There will be no housing and no permanent placement. Although it will look rude, I believe this will give me the most flexibility for placement. :high-five:

I did checked the power supplies and they are not sealed. I got some silicone but I will check out the di-electric grease.


I promised BoBrown I'd get some pics up of the lid I created for the Microbeman 5 gallon vortex brewer. I've got that and some pics of the last supercrop defol round.

Hiya CO! Thank you sir. I've got a long ways to go, but I feel like my training is starting to come along. I just break, bend, tie and chop till things look about even. I figure in a few more grows I'll actually know what I'm doing. :Namaste:

Thanks G! :thanks: I've got a new DIY plan in my mind but probably won't get it completed till this weekend. If it works out like I think it will, it could be a game changer for people worried about DIY. I'm not an inventor or DIY guy so anything i come up with will be super easy to reproduce :):):)

I will soon take off the diapers and start going to grade school my friend! I realize my methods are crude but my pops was even more brutal and he's the one I learned how to grow crops from. He'd slap me upside the head if he saw how much effort I put in to these babies LOL! :high-five:

Thank you Brother Dreamz! The canopy was even for exactly 36 hours LOL! I went in there just now and Holy Moly! these things just kicked off in the last 24 hrs. I'm going to give them 1 more supercrop and defol, then they're getting flipped. I'll be lucky to contain them. :thumb:

Thanks scrubby!!! I do Love them tremendously. I'm still working on the professionalism and have much to learn! We're already ahead of the curve with our OLS! Next round including seeds EWC, guano and 1/2 a KIS nutrient pack will cost me exactly $46 (Edit- Not including seeds). I' hopping for 2 Lbs. 1 for my buddy and 1 for me to smoke eat and share. That's $23 a pound LOL!!!!! :circle-of-love:

Thank you Skunny! I think for the most part it is pretty easy LOL! Once I quite being an overbearing micro-manager, the ladies just started doing their job LOL!!!! I do like to push them around still, I just do it on the weekends now :):):)!!!!!!
 
Well, my rare darkness (and maybe something else like rare dankness #1!) are gonna go in some new and old kit soil. Just picked up a new bale of pro mix hp today and ill be building a new high tech grow room as soon as the card gets here and the production license follows. Deets to come :)
 
Oh man, I've been eyeballing that rare dankness strain since I first saw the offering (attitude). Did you start from seed or lucky enough to get a clone? Man I wish i could pick up some more RD beansbut I've still got quite a few packs to get through first. Do you grow any of their other gear?

Excited for your card and grow room scrubby. I wish I could do a proper high tech room but I'm lucky Mrscannabi let's me have a tent so I don't push it. :thumb:
 
Hi Dr... lovely canopy :thumb: ... I read that you're growing your Kali Mist for a friend who's having chemo and being very interesting in medicinal effects of plants was wondering what made you choose this particular strain. Is it one you've tried before?
