Doggy Daddy's Dive Into Coco

Seems the chemical nutes do change things a bit but im wondering if it has to do with the fact a lot of growers really feed more than the plants need. And its not so much that hydro has less flavor it just seems to all taste the same.

Could it also be that some hydro growers don't flush enough before harvest to eliminate the left over nutes?

Thats another thing im considering a myth, flowers dont use nutrients directly. Flowers receive carbs and sugars from the rest of the plant but no nutes.

That makes a lot of sense PW. Its almost like a placebo. You see it or hear it and believe it. We need a blind taste test

Day 16: These lil ladies are liking whatever I'm doing and I am pretty damn happy. Every time I peak in the box it seems like new growth is showing and their color is great. I upped their nutes tonight to about double what they were receiving before which is still only 1/2 of the recommended dose according to the GH schedule. I've continued to add CalMag first silica MammothP then my base nutes starting with micro. The ph is around 5.8 and ppms on this feeding were 675. They're not skipping a beat so I figured I could try and push them a bit. I did some light lst with a coat hanger I cut and bent into stakes. It's a bit of a compilation of Imtoasted's idea and a KingCloudy journal post I saw earlier.

Aww so short and bushy already, I love the way they are growing!

Your right they are liking what your doing, keep it up man!

Temps have also leveled out a bit and they seem to deal with the heat very well. The rh is up at least. It's been hovering around 30 lately but now it's where it should be.

I like the growth rates your having in coco, when I side by side it with my promix grow there's no comparison! Albeit you did start feeding pretty early, but being the nature of coco I can't really use that as an excuse XD

Nice work DD! .

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I'm very happy with how close the nodes are so far and the overall bushyness in the short amount of time. I had a question though. Are you supposed to flush with plain ph'd water every few feedings in coco?

I think I recall the same thing about flushing only when necessary. I'll continue to feed without flushing for now unless someone has better advice.

Rotated the babes a bit since the NL and WR are bushier than the AK. I also did a lil more lst on the AK to expose those nodes!

The AK-48 which will now be referred to as Annie is not cooperating with the lst. So I put her hair up so she can catch some sun.

And the WR aka Wilma

I had to name them after seeing PW's and bigandstrange post. I used to name every plant when I started and I miss that connection with the babes. I let them dry out a bit before watering and they didn't seem to mind. They drank a lot more this time and are close to needing another transplant in a couple weeks. I'm hoping my ugly ass clones will be done soon so I can get these biatches into the tent with the leds and more of a controlled environment.

Aww so cute .
