Does any one us gaia green products!

Once the plants get close enough to the flowers opening, you can cut off the branches and stick them in a vase of water. Put a mirror or piece of glass under the vase and the pollen will drop off the flowers and be easier to collect.

Alternatively you could put a bunch in a paper bag and shake it around .

The biggest thing is to keep it dry after you collect it since moisture will kill its viability.

I used the bag method. I bent the stem into a clear plastic bag (large ziplock worked) and shook it along with lightly tapping to release the pollen.

So for now I have taken the male plant out of the tent and put it upstairs in the living room by the window. This got me to thinking, that this plant is a photo and do I still need it on 12/12, or will it grow enough there to produce mature pollen sacs ? Then becomes the question, will it be to late to polinate one of the other plants that are about 3 weeks in growth ahead of this male.

You probably won't be growing it much longer, just long enough to catch and then store pollen, but I'd try to keep it close to the light schedule you had it your tent.

You shouldn't need more than a week or two at the most.

In my previous experience, The male pollen release will coincide with the female plants flowering. Female plants are ready within two to 3 weeks of flowering, more or less. (I believe I actually had it pinned down to how many days into flowering was best opportune time to apply the pollen with the help of a knowledgeable member.) You need nice white pistils on the females. Your plants are just following natures schedule with the light schedule you have.

Once the pollen is distributed on the female flowers, you will see the pistils start to turn brown and die back. I can't remember how long this took. I would have to reference my journal for that.
The first time I did it, it took about 40-ish days for the seeds to be mature enough for harvest.

If you have a more mature female, I'm not positive but I think you can still do it as long as it still has white pistils going on. If anyone disagrees, please say so. :)
Just my opinion.

I raised the light in the tent by 6" to 25" above the canopy. What a difference that made! The leaves are praying now 😀 . I don't think have seen that yet on this grow. I think I'm starting to get a little obsessed with this new hobby...lol

Thanks g-one. That would be great news if it is truly a male. Maybe i had one male seed in the female Gelato seeds I ordered. None of the other Gelato seeds made it past seedling. It could have been a male Bruce banner seed that actually made it past seedling, I thought they were feminized seeds. I could have marked the solo cup incorrectly I suppose but I doubt it. Guess I will never know...lol

It looks like a pure male to me in that last photo. If you can see any white pistils mixed in with the sacks then it's a hermie, but from your pics it looks very male to me.
Agreed. A hermie would have both male and female bits displayed at the nodes, but I see no sign of female bits.

I give a third vote on the plant being male. If it was female turned male, you would have pistils in there too. The first photo here, toward the bottom right of the branch, you can see the white pistils. The hair like pistils are what make up your female flowers.
The second photo would be what a male plant looks like. There are no pistils/ female parts.

How much longer until harvest do you think ?
This into approximately week 7 of flower . It's a Meridian Sour auto.

The hairs are crinkling and retracting so you may be starting the harvest window but I think I can see quite a few clear trichomes on a couple of those photos. I can't totally tell but there may still be a little bud swelling as she finishes out strong. I like my trichomes 10% clear, 80% cloudy, and 10% amber. This is strictly personal preference and kinda something you figure out as you harvest more plants.

You're close and it's time to be checking trichomes with a loop. And, like @g-one-three says, it's personal preference from here.

Clear = not ready yet as the trichome structures have been built but not yet filled with cannabinoids
Cloudy/milky = a more up-lifting, energetic high
Amber = a more body stone, couch lock effect

It's a continuum so many growers harvest at certain ratios. I like more relaxing so go for a higher percentage of amber, but it's totally grower's choice.
