I just chopped my last critical sensi star. I had been growing it for 2 or 3 years. It was really nice. Nice and frosty, yielded really well and smelt like fruity pastries! Mine stretched a decent amount and had larger internodal spacing than a lot of what I grow. Even though it is supposed to be a mostly indica hybrid it grew more sativaish than indica like for me. My highest yielding plant ever was a CSS grown in a 15 gallon pot of kit soil :)

Mosquito dunks in the water tank are 100% effective for prevention and will take week to kill an infestation.

Adding recharge and a layer of Roots! Top dressed will also work well. It'll take a week to ten days doing both, but nothing nasty will be added.

How dodvyou get them? Promix is clean for me.

It seems like every time I mix new soil I have to get rid of them. I can only figure they are coming from the promix.

that's very interesting. perhaps Promix is sourced differently in your part of the country? It might be the mosquito dunks in the water tank then.
 
Hey Doc, so I just ordered some Tea and had an idea for your site. Again, mostly for convenience. It would be cool if we could make an account or something, so you don't need to enter email, name, address, etc. every time you go to order. Just sign in, pick what you want and check out. Much faster, less steps.

Is it possible that they come from the EWC? I have seen some organic growers not using the kits make mention of getting bugs every time they add EWC to their soil mix. Either way it is probably one or the other.

I'm not saying it couldn't be. I use Roots Organic Big Worm and I always have an open bag in the grow room to top dress with or to amend 2nd/3rd run soil and they don't seem to return after a couple waterings with the yucca extract. So I am guessing it isn't those. It's not that big a deal. This last new batch of soil wasn't bad. I just saw a couple of em.

I had forgotten that you mentioned it not being an issue after the first run. It would make more sense if it was the promix at that point for sure.

I think you nailed it there for me. I moved a open bag of EWC into grow room about 3 weeks ago.

I hear ya on that! Do you mind having your data stored on the host site? It's something to think about.....

I remember back in the supersoil days, I opened a bag of Roots Organic soil and the bugs flew out like thick smoke.

I use Wiggle Worm EWC and Promix HP....no gnats ever, but then again, my water supply has mosquito dunks

Yea, I've thought about that. But since I already have accounts where I purchased my other cannabis related products, I really don't think one more is gonna hurt.
So no, I don't mind the host site storing my data. It's everywhere already, unfortunately. But hey, it does make life easier.
Really though, what's the worst that can happen? I know some are really paranoid about their info online. I am not one of them. I see it like this, if I want the convenience, and the selection, I don't have much choice.

Yeah when I first started growing I'd read all these threads about people getting busted from the stupidest stuff when in reality they can't accept that they fucked up and either took to revealing of pics or talked to much Irl got cocky and went no filter or something lol maybe strange purple lights beaming out windows at odd hours.... Most companies aren't going to try and get a customer arrested and lose resources they track us so they have a better chance of selling stuff to us and getting our money.
