Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Hey Curso...Some of us are running out of transplant ,following the instructions and not even giving them any extra yet!I, myself am waiting for more and i just flipped mine a few days ago.I'm only growing 3 right now ,so if i was doing the full "kit" I'de be out for sure by now.I'm not bitching...please don't get that impression.I have nothing but respect for Doc and all you guys...OK!I'm sure as things move along for all of us, "Doc" and his team will sort things out if need be.I realize this is all new to us all, and am just so glad Doc got the ball rolling with "Hi Brix" .Cheers Curso From way up here in Canada eh! Canada 3 Norway 1 :):)

If you are only growing 3 plants and are out of transplant, you are giving them to much. I'm sure Doc will sort you out. But 3 plants in 7gl bags doesn't even require 1gl of product. Remember each plant gets 1pt (2cups x 3=6cups or 1.25qt for the lot) then watered either down or just added around the root zone. That stuff just keeps the soil happy. The drenches don't really feed the plant directly. Less is more with this stuff.

Yeah I watched that game too, it was good after the 1st. I couldn't find the usa game. Russia looked pretty good too...So does Sweden...Should be a good tournament :)

Curso, I mix .5 oz /gal. It takes about 2.5 to 3 gal's. to give a good drink for these three 7 gal. rootbuilder pots!I must be doing things wrong then...i mix it all at once ,then evenly give to all three!I have quite a bit more "energy" left than "transplant".Not sure what happened there?Anyhow ,the plants look great so ,i'm not sure what to think.

I'm a Red Wing fan...so Russia(Pavel Datsuyk), Sweden, (Z and about 5 other Wings) and yes ...and then the U.S. Should be good , once they get playing good together.Well Curso...this time tomorrow i'l be on a beach with my sweetie...in Jamaica (Negril) .This 20 below c everyday has got to go...even if just for a week!:):) Cheers all!!

0.5 oz per plant is about 5 times what I give mine ... :thedoubletake:

Yikes....that's WAY too much Transplant you're using. You could feed 10 plants with that.

I feed 10-15 at a time with 1/4 ounce of Transplant and 1/2 ounce of Drench.

All hail the microbes!
She's blowing up doc. Didnt think it was ever gonna happen tbh. Her last feed was energy and 1 water since. Ever since the energy she started going crazy. She'll get water from now until a good cat drench. Just started showing pistils about 4 days ago. I dont have bugs or pests so should i give her a good soaking with that product? You wrote to give her a good drench at first sign of flowering.
Appreciate it bro :)

If you have no PM issues AND realize you cannot run a sulfur vape for about 20 days after using it....go right ahead! It will wash the leaves, kill most mites, thripes, etc, AND it feeds the plant.

The only downside is the need to wait before using a sulfur vaporizer. If you were outdoors you'd want to use it no matter what.

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

I get the leaf washing boss lol. I keep taking whiffs of her and all i keep smelling is brix and stress (which arent the most pleasant odors btw). I think ill do it. Ive removed everything in the tent several times and givent everything, tent included, a good bleach wash (the Marine in me likes shit clean) so im not too concerned with pm or other nasties.
I have no clue what a sulfur vaporizer is lol. Professor Bud?

I hope NEVER need to learn what a sulfur vape is, LOL. It's a heating element that turns sulfur prills into a liquid, which gives off vapors. This kills PM really, really well!

You should have different smells when your buds get going.

Mornin doc, thanks for the quick responce to my order
, I appreciate that. Doc i'm curious, I was wondering why energy was'nt used in the begining of the bloom, but is used after the cat drench till the end?

Well, you could use ONLY energy the entire time if you wanted. I did that on the first two grows with the kit. However, we can enhance things a bit by getting creative with soil energy.

Energy, or Growth Energy in the "new" kit (coming soon) has lots of calcium and nitrate form of nitrogen. The nitrate form of nitrogen is very much skewed to the growth side of things, which means it's also a bulking agent once buds are formed.

Transplant is an organic fertilizer which means it is slightly skewed to the reproductive side of things as all organic fertilizers are.

Cat Drench is liquid fish with phosphates and sulfates (both highly reproductive in effect) along with the ammonium form of nitrogen which is also reproductive in effect.

Used together, at the right time, in the right way, we can increase yield, increase brix, and basically rock the crop.

All the high brix tools are like keys on the keyboard, strings on the guitar, paints on the tray, etc. How we put them all together is where the beauty comes in.

So, a word of advice:

For the first grow or two follow directions. Once you see what this stuff does and gain an understanding for how it effects your plants, feel free to experiment with everything. That's where the artistry comes into play. The weed is going to blow your mind even if you only fed growth energy the whole time....but trust me, it can be better!

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Doc do you give a instruction sheet with every kit ?
If so is it complicated ?

Instructions.....where to start......

First of all, my signature line at the bottom of this post links to the instructions.

My instructions from the lab are titration tables for fertigation mainly. The "backyard" instructions say, "1 oz per 30 square feet." In other words, if you're growing in 8x4 raised beds, like many folks do in their backyards, use an ounce. Easy, right?

Not really. I've tried to make the directions fool proof....but that makes them confusing. I'm working on it!

I will not be including directions with the kit, but will have them online. I'm working on another set of directions which will hopefully be more clear, but until then, read and re-read the link at the bottom of the post.

Once you get the hang of it and understand what things do and more importantly what they do to your plants, you'll start to play your own chords, using these notes. Does that make sense?

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Hello Doc,
Everything in life has a learning curve, the ideal concept is to keep it simple, common sense plays a major factor.
With your kit there are roots of real nature working in harmony and balance, we don't need to have a degree in biology, we just want healthy success at the end of the day, there are many products on the market that use multiple ingredients that require exacting formulas in m.m. to make a end product, too much of a acid will kill the plant, not enough will also cause injury, the concepts that you offer eliminate massive plant death, that alone is worthy of investment.

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Just follow the directions and youll grow some awesome product. The only thing is finding the right ratios of product to use for the the number of plants used. Dont worry about what you see above ground in veg, itll work itself out, trust me. Let those roots thrive then after the flip and a good drink of energy youll see the magic happen, again, trust me :)
A lil spray of stress here and a lil spray of brix there is all it takes otherwise
Good luck everyone...im sure youre gonna enjoy your kits :)

Oh yeah....Curso and I have both tried to kill plants. No success so far.
