You're great with those roots. I use 1 gallon in veg BTW, so I can get roots faster than in 2 gallons
Kinda what I done this run, half air pots and half reg plastic pots
I think I screw more things up experimenting, but really learn along the way. Only used fabric pots few times, but keep going back to the old plastic ones. The fabric ones are probably great if you're flowering in a 3 gal. But I still like plastic in the 10 or bigger
Thanks again Doc
I only started using the 2 Gal FELT because of the AIR PRUNING, My thought was
in a 2 GAL FELT, Taking into consideration the Air Pruning I would get a 1 gal size root
ball. I will take a good look after this run. the next will be all plastic, again to get
my personnel view of the differences in response.
Hi Doc, would like to ask your opinion. Been a while since I popped some seeds, and well...I have some seedlings now...Cinderella 99 at 28 days since germination. The last three drinks I have increased the amount of RO h2o to each, 1.25, 1.5, and 2 cups respectfully. The last one was a 25% TP mix to feed the soil. They seem to love life. I have not hit them with any foliars yet.
When is it safe to start GE drenches, and can I start to dunk the pots now when it’s time to water? The soil and water alone seem to be providing everything they need so far.
Thank you sir!
So, when they dry out go ahead and give them a dunking with a normal Transplant drench first, THEN give them GE.
I would have said go ahead and give them GE now, but they have a slightly dry look to them, which says the roots aren't quite where we want them. This isn't a critical failure, or even a problem, per se....but it does steer me to doing one more Transplant drench before GE.
It might help to look at GE as being for everything above the soil, and Transplant for everything beneath. That's not 100% accurate, but when you want roots, you'll tend to favor one product over the other.
Thank Doc for the response and detailed educational explanation. I’ve been paying attention to all my plants and been focused on the reaction they have with each of your products. I know that seedlings are sensitive at first, and thus the caution.
All the big plants are doing well. Loving the new formula...just cracked them open last week.
