You're great with those roots. I use 1 gallon in veg BTW, so I can get roots faster than in 2 gallons

Thanks again Doc

I only started using the 2 Gal FELT because of the AIR PRUNING, My thought was
in a 2 GAL FELT, Taking into consideration the Air Pruning I would get a 1 gal size root
ball. I will take a good look after this run. the next will be all plastic, again to get
my personnel view of the differences in response.

Kinda what I done this run, half air pots and half reg plastic pots

I like it, We should never stop learning. Don't want to get stuck in a rut
and miss the boat

I think using the felt as opposed to plastic has a lot to do with the watering
practice, so its somewhat user specific.

We need to figure out what works best for our own growing techniques.
Not sure if there is a "one size fits all" if your looking for the best results.

Also trying different things has always been a good learning experience for me
and usually learn something after the results are in.

Right on Buck, see you at the finish and we can compare notes.

Nice guys! Loving this, Luckily we all will learn so much from your experimenting. Thanks to you both for your work and sharing!
I decided for my first run to use 7 gal, makes it easier for me to follow the directions, next time I may go with just one plant in a 15, and just manifold the hell outa her to spread er wide...

Forgot to mention they are plastic!

I think I screw more things up experimenting, but really learn along the way. Only used fabric pots few times, but keep going back to the old plastic ones. The fabric ones are probably great if you're flowering in a 3 gal. But I still like plastic in the 10 or bigger

Part of the curve, but educational for sure.

"I think I screw more things up experimenting" I just expect FUBAR
and enjoy anything better.

I have my dedicated FUBAR Plant for this exact reason. I don't
show her off since its a little embarrassing.
:thanks::goodjob:

My first grow with docs kit was in fabric pots. I didn't like them. Had to water excruciatingly slow or the water would run out the sides, pain to up can, and clean afterwards. Plastic works better for me, and it's easy to check the roots in the 1 gal...just pull it up, inspect, drop it back in, same with up canning. When cleaning time come, I dump them into a 10:1 bleach solution and scrub them...piece of cake

Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Hi Doc, would like to ask your opinion. Been a while since I popped some seeds, and well...I have some seedlings now...Cinderella 99 at 28 days since germination. The last three drinks I have increased the amount of RO h2o to each, 1.25, 1.5, and 2 cups respectfully. The last one was a 25% TP mix to feed the soil. They seem to love life. I have not hit them with any foliars yet.

When is it safe to start GE drenches, and can I start to dunk the pots now when it's time to water? The soil and water alone seem to be providing everything they need so far.

Thank you sir!

So, when they dry out go ahead and give them a dunking with a normal Transplant drench first, THEN give them GE.

I would have said go ahead and give them GE now, but they have a slightly dry look to them, which says the roots aren't quite where we want them. This isn't a critical failure, or even a problem, per se....but it does steer me to doing one more Transplant drench before GE.

It might help to look at GE as being for everything above the soil, and Transplant for everything beneath. That's not 100% accurate, but when you want roots, you'll tend to favor one product over the other.

Thank Doc for the response and detailed educational explanation. I've been paying attention to all my plants and been focused on the reaction they have with each of your products. I know that seedlings are sensitive at first, and thus the caution.

All the big plants are doing well. Loving the new formula...just cracked them open last week.

Soil run 2
Day 12 PF
LED 625watt
Trimmed up to to 5 nodes at flip time just like Doc.
15 gal plastic pots

Perfect!

I find that 1 gallon pots then upcan to finals is the way to go. Any larger than a one gallon pot and they aren't rootbound before I am ready to flip.

Doc, the flush then Rescue Drench has worked great. Within 24 hours both plants are praying! I do have a question, earlier Overlord asked about the Leaf Wash and when to use it, but I have missed what's the purpose. Is this a leaf wash in case of/prevention for things like spider mites?
