Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

I had a suspicion I was Late :thanks:

You're not "late." You just did it when you did. Over time, you'll adjust your timing based on a number of factors, the most important of which is PERSONAL PREFERENCE. Pay attention to every little detail and you'll have a nice green thumb in no time.

Please do the Super Drench after the Cats.

What a tragedy going on out there.
Are you near any of the at risk areas - Doc ?

I'm right in between the two major fire areas. It's heartbreaking.

Seems like all the sugar leaves are covered. I have some tacoing on my sour strawberry, but she's looking great, I'll get some pics this evening

Should I do a super drench next right after the back to back cats?

I think you want at least one watering in between Buck!

I'd do one watering, then super drench. Make a note and next time be sure to do a heavy Transplant drench right when you flip.

Hay Doc

What are you seeing that gives you the heads up on the HEAVY Transplant Drench?
Just curious for my mental note process :thanks:

EDIT: OK just read back some

I forgot all about giving trans drenches during veg, they only had one, right before I flipped. I made some notes that I added to my journal. Should help out in next run.

I've got more frost now, 1/3rd way thru, than I ever did using the cheap seeds that I was using. I really think genetics plays an important role.

Isn't this your first run with the DBHBB soil Buck?

Well then... dont ya think it could, at least, be partly the kit? I mean, genetics definitely matter, but ya know... Docs method seems to do wonders for a lot of strains. You have any of those cheap seeds left? Maybe do a run with them to see the difference? Thats what I'm doing... I grew out some Wonder Woman 3 times in super soil... I am very anxious to see how they flower in the kit. Just didn't want you thinking it was just the seeds man! All good man, your ladies are looking really great! Can hardly wait to see your harvest!

I think it's combination of the 2. I threw away everything that I had from cks, about 20 packs lol.

I can tell a big difference between the kit and advanced nutrients. Seems like with the kit the frost packs on about week or 2 earlier than with reg nutes.

With the better seeds I'm not picking nanners all the way thru flower like I did for few years using cks. I found at least couple seeds every grow for past 3-4 years lol. That's why I threw them away. Lol

Nice, yea id be tossing those too if they were herming on me. I have had that problem with a few strains I have run from Nirvana. The wonder woman always does great, but the White castle and the white widow from them always seems to come out with tiny pin head seeds or a few whole seeds. I probably won't run those in the kit soil, really wanna get me some new strains to check out. But damn... 20 packs!!! thats a lotta seeds to have to toss man.

Got a question for anyone that wants to answer... If we start these ladies off in HB soil, and say I wanna give away a clone, would the clones be ok going into non-HB soil? Or is that outa the question? Seems to me that they would struggle at first, but then come around and do ok. But I am a newb...
I can't say with any certainty, but I think they would adjust. It worked the other way around for me. I started with FF soil and after I found DBHBB I put the clones in it, and they adjusted no problems.

Just wanted to say what's up to everyone!! Especially Doc and my Cali friends. I used to live in Santa Rosa, Ca. I have a lot of friend that have lost everything! It's a horrible, devastating and unthinkable that this could have happened to my old hometown. I hope all the growers are safe even though the crops are gone; you can plant again as long as they're in a safe place. .
