Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Received my Leaf Wash yesterday... thank you Doc!!! Very quick as usual. I still spraying with DeStress every other day, Doc did you see my post a couple pages back? I used a homemade spray to kill all the existing mites and then the next day continued with the De-stress. I also posted some pics of my sad ladies (looking far better now, as stated with those pics, thats only an hour after I staked the branches up. They were all over the place from the spray and wash. Anyway, things are looking a bit better, hoping to see these leaves heal themselves from the mite damage.

I have no pics right now, but I have some splitting action happening. Dunno if i was tying branches down too much or what, but there is a good split right at the node, where topping took place. The plant is showing no issues and I have not messed with it, yet. Should I wrap the area with electrical tape or something?

Interesting, I mix 4 gal for 4x 7 gal pots. I put I gal each pot. I have about 2 cup of run off that get wick up in about 20 minutes. I'm positive I could even use about another .5 gal of soil in pots as well. Does this have anything to do with amount of roots in the pots in different stages?

In bloom, that's exactly what I do. One gallon per container. Half from the top, half in the saucer.

Last time that happened to me I used a Tie Wrap, just tight enough to keep the split from getting bigger,
BUT I had to remove it within a short time as the stalk was starting to grow into it. Removed it and everything
was fine. Probably not much help but just trying to say your probably fine

Doc I know I probably shouldn't but I just can't resist trying sub-irrigated planters for flower only. I am planning on vegging my current way (wet/dry) then transferring to 27 gallon bins with 2 plants each. I will drench from the top in reduced volumes and go almost dry with the reservoir before a refill. I plan on drenching in reduced volume from the top.

Gonna try it with a 4x8. Two bins per 4x4. Four bins total. 23ish gallons soil each. High brix hempy lmao.

Here is my first prototype. 4" vented drain with landscape cloth. The center area will be filled with soil as a wick. There is a drain to maintain 2"airspace minimum at all times between water and soil, except for the wick soil. I plan on using airstones as well.

Let us know how it goes! It's not something I'm gonna do myself, but I'll watch....

So Doc, I'm wondering if the leaf wash will help in my out door garden with grubs on my pumpkin vine. I'm finding them in me stem digging in and killing the vine. Any suggestions

Hey Shiggity

I tired using 7gl Eco pots, same bottom feed principal with the brix and it was sub par. however the recommended perlite on the bottom ended up almost hard as cement. I have since used 5gls on house plants with soil/perlite mix on the bottom with no problem

I have also used a 3gl with supersoil and the plants were fading half way through so I top watered the rest of the way and it turned out fine.

good luck with the 30 gl it looks like a nice DIY

Hey Doc, hope your day is going well. Thanks for that awesome service... sprayed my ladies with the Leaf Wash today @ recommended rate, soaked really good about 10 min before lights out. That stuff smells familiar, but I can't figure it out... reminds me of something. Anyway, I put the rest that I mixed in the fridge, dont think you answered before... should I keep it in the fridge after its mixed or toss what I dont use?
