Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Congrats on a healthy grow. Regarding MK Ultra, it is probably a salt-loving hydro strain, so I recommend adding a tablespoon of Epsom salts every 2 weeks or so to each pot once bloom has commenced. This is an adaptation we must make when growing prohibition genetics that are bred for hydro, etc. Landrace strains do much better in natural soil. However, don't let the above lead you to believe your MK won't be stellar smoke. It will blow you away, even if it's not the "best" strain for High Brix.

Regarding the kit grow:

1. follow directions. Yes, it's time for Energy. Read the directions.
2. While the T and J Yucca is a fantastic product with many beneficial uses, please do not use it with the High Brix kit. It will lower brix and make your grow worse, not better.

It is too high in K for our purposes. Again, what you have is precisely formulated by the lab and will result in the healthiest plants possible, barring other factors (environment, stoner fuck-ups, etc.)

Please resist the urge to add other items, with the lone exception of the Epsom Salt, due to the strain. Like I said in the directions, more is NOT better.....

Rake? Lol

Doc, Makes sense about the epsom salt.I started giving it to the H.G.K's about three weeks ago(6 weeks into flower) along with some molassis and yucca and they really started to pack on the weight with resin and bud size!Quite noticable.Up until then they only got Neptune harvest fish fert.As far as the "kit" grow with the mk's...i'l stick to instructions for sure. Was just wanting your thoughts on it(yucca) ,that all, thanks. So i'l start giving them some epsom ,only at the start of flowering ,like you said.Does the epsom not lower the brix though?

Yucca is fantastic stuff and it is included in ProMix. They use it as a wetting agent, for which it works fabulously. That's one reason why we don't need to add any.

The Epsom salt will lower brix a smidgeon, but this can be offset by using Energy, which is for Calcium. In order to grow the hydro strains in a way that people will recognize them and get what they expect, you've got to dumb down the soil a bit.

Got it... and thanks. The difference with the 6/5/3 soil this time with my H.G.K. is like night and day Doc...it's almost hard to believe,if i didn't grow it myself! I have you to thank for all my recent success...hats off to you my friend!:)It's so nice to be finally able to smoke some nice herb again ,mine.I'm afraid i've turned spoiled Doc...:)I have who i consider a good reliable source ,for when i'm out of my own but it's never as "clean" as organic.I'm so looking forward to more fun with this round of mk ultra and your kit!So far i'm not surprised...they look great!Later eh! Oh ya ,your paki this time made my mouth water:) Unbelievable!! Cheers.

Making the jump to mineralized soil is an eye-reddener for sure. However, the best is yet to come.

The kit soil is MUCH better than standard 6-5-3. You'll see....and I'm so happy you're spoiled now, like the rest of us! Your enjoyment of the herb is going to increase, along with your health!

I raise my hand as a witness - I did both. High Brix is better than 6-5-3, no doubt about it. If you're doing well with 6-5-3, heheh, just wait until you get some HB bud under those same conditions! It's another league.

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

I was just thinking this morning how my problem solving skills are getting really rusty with this kit grow.... It's so damn easy with the kit that i don't remember how to diagnose deficiencies or lockout issues or even pests problems because they simply no longer exist in my closet. Just follow directions and try to be patient while your plants start the sparkle. Hardest thing about growing for me now is figuring what strain to grow next. Now I can try to focus on learning how to breed and create something of my own. . I'm wondering how high brix growing affects the next generation of seeds. Thanks Doc! You tha man! :goodjob: :Namaste:

Hey bro!

The seeds from high brix plants in a greenhouse are spotted, speckled, large and shiney. I'm getting near 100% germination on organic seeds from 4 years ago, and 100% germination so far from high brix seeds last year. The seeded weed is interesting to smoke too.

When you get seeds going, use the Cationic drench. You have any pics?

My cherry puff about 6 weeks in. This was my first kit grow last year. I'm thinking about pollen chucking on the next round of girls, just have to find a stud male in the next batch.

Its so easy. I find myself looking at my girls just to see how much theyve grown in a 24 hr period...not for any other reason lol

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Doc quick question. I am thinking I let my plants get too big and they are eating and drinking faster than I can keep up with.

My question is for my orange strain as its the biggest and it is showing the lightest colored leaves out of the bunch. Should i be giving water in between energy and transplant. I feel like the last time I did that a couple of the bigger fans looked like they were being used by the plant.

The plants are spectacular to say the least. I may run out of energy. but So far i am a happy camper.

Thank you

Use a bit of transplant each and every time you water. That's what the extra was for. Also, don't forget you'll be doing the cat drench and recharge. You won't run out. Energy and Stress will keep those leaves nice and green. Don't forget the foliars!

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

I can fit two amendments into one bag, but not three. I now have things pre-assembled so I can put kits together easier.

If you email me I can arrange to get you the drench! Results without are still fantastic.

Could you please message me the details on ordering a high brix kit from you please Doc Bud? Thank you for your time. Sorry i hijacked this thread a bit. Im new and couldn't message you direct due to being under 50 posts.

I just started adding the transplant to the feeds on a regular basis. It is going along nicely. I promise to get some quality photos up soon.

Add the recharge and water in first right. then follow up with a cationic drench a couple days later. I don't want to bother you too much as I know you are a busy guy.

Looking at them tonight I was very happy!!!!

I'm really excited to see how your HB plants turn out, shotta. You have your skills so honed, I can't wait to see how dramatic the difference is going to be. It might be a little better, it might be a lot better. It'll be fun to see. I know I sure am glad I saw Doc's grows here on :420:

I coulda been running FF nutes. :cheesygrinsmiley:
