re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

This is the best harvest I've ever had, quality wise. I cut down 3 plants and got 14 ounces of super prime bud and 2 ounces of washed sugar leaf trim. It's as frosty as the buds and rolls amazing joints.

It's potent, smooth as can be, tastes like cake with a distant lemon/weed scent....and it expands in the lungs like a Mofo. No coughing fits, but you'll cough once or twice if you take too big of a hit...you just can't keep it down. But no spasms, thankfully. I friggin hate coughing!

I pray I can reeat this result!

For the brix gang: I'm going to experiment using some organic, non GMO fed bone meal in the lower third of the pot on some OG's. I did guano last time with great success. We'll try some bone this time, maybe a bit of both?

Anyways, I'm so happy with what can be done in this soil. It's not quite as tweaky as hydro, but if you're into that high brix is satifsying.

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Wow Doc those buds look frickin incredible man!

Would you recommend keeping a mom long term in your high brix or taking a new clone each run to be the new mom and flowering the old mom. If keeping a mom long term what size pots do you recommend for the job and roughly how often would they need a repot? If I keep them long term I would like to keep them small as I will only need one or two clones off each mom per batch. Im thinking two or three nice little bonsai moms in three gal equiv air pots. Would that work or are they to small to use with your soil? I know you recommend bigger pots for flowering but don't remember seeing a recommendation for some bonsai cougar MILFS (Mom i'd Like to Frickin Smoke).

Thanks in advance!

Hey Smokey!

I keep "teen moms." basically I take cuttings every time I prune and those cuttings become "moms" to the next round, etc. I have never kept a mother plant.

I believe it's all in the "In the Lab" thread.

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

I plan to keep mothers too in high brix i have always kept mothers so i figure it cant be too much diff than other ways i have grown/maintained my mothers.

i plan to bonsai and root prune in 5"x5" square pots and for feeding/foliar i will treat it like a typical high brix vegging plant. but as i see tweaking is needed ill be posting the results in my journal:peace:

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

That is QUALITY!!!
Hey Doc, have you ever heard of CC-84? Well if not it is " Cricket Crap 1984"
Just wondering if you have ever used it. Don't know about the values but thought if anybody knew it would be you.

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

No. It is cricket crap. Ha ha! Google it. You'll end up in Georgia. Raising them in wood and screen brooding boxes, around 10,000 per box. That is a lot of crap. Lol

Hi Doc...hope you and your family had a nice Christmas and wishing you all the best for the New Year.If you have the time, i have a few things on my mind. First...the Mk Ultra's (3) are growing like i have never seen! Two things stand out to me.The attitude of the leaves(almost pointing up at times) and the colour. It's almost a flourecent shade of green. Super healthy:) No pics just yet but they are about 6 to 8 inches and very bushy with very healthy and thick stems ,here at about 3 weeks. All 3 germed and popped in no time .they're under fl's. right now till the H.G.K's are done and down next week.As for them in the 6/5/3 soil...the resin is really good this time.I tried a small branch this morning i had drying for a few days and the taste and ...well,everything about it is so much better than the same seeds in my previous "organic" mix with NO added "rocks"! Amazing,so much fun:)Doc, i have been trying some things with T and J's Yucca .It has some positive effect on our plant.Like to chat with you about it ,no space hear. Also the mk's have had two plain waterings ,2 stress sprays,1 brix spray. Is it time to give some energy? Oh ya...you can really see what the sprays do....lovin it Doc! Thanks, Duggan.

Congrats on a healthy grow. Regarding MK Ultra, it is probably a salt-loving hydro strain, so I recommend adding a tablespoon of Epsom salts every 2 weeks or so to each pot once bloom has commenced. This is an adaptation we must make when growing prohibition genetics that are bred for hydro, etc. Landrace strains do much better in natural soil. However, don't let the above lead you to believe your MK won't be stellar smoke. It will blow you away, even if it's not the "best" strain for High Brix.

Regarding the kit grow:

1. follow directions. Yes, it's time for Energy. Read the directions.
2. While the T and J Yucca is a fantastic product with many beneficial uses, please do not use it with the High Brix kit. It will lower brix and make your grow worse, not better.

It is too high in K for our purposes. Again, what you have is precisely formulated by the lab and will result in the healthiest plants possible, barring other factors (environment, stoner fuck-ups, etc.)

Please resist the urge to add other items, with the lone exception of the Epsom Salt, due to the strain. Like I said in the directions, more is NOT better.....

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Doc, Makes sense about the epsom salt.I started giving it to the H.G.K's about three weeks ago(6 weeks into flower) along with some molassis and yucca and they really started to pack on the weight with resin and bud size!Quite noticable.Up until then they only got Neptune harvest fish fert.As far as the "kit" grow with the mk's...i'l stick to instructions for sure. Was just wanting your thoughts on it(yucca) ,that all, thanks. So i'l start giving them some epsom ,only at the start of flowering ,like you said.Does the epsom not lower the brix though?
