Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Dropping some beans tonight. 4 different strains. I will need all the help I can get. I know how one of them will grow in the kit but the other 3 will be a trial by fire. One, is a Blimburn Mango. The other is TH Bubblegum. The final seed is a F2 seed that Nismo and Canna created called Devils Carnival. The strain I'm familiar with is Carnival. It l9ves our soil. It went 11 weeks last time. So I expect it to be the last one again. I plan on starting a journal tonight as well.
Thanks

I have a bubblegum I have been keeping around for a while now. It grows into a pretty open branchy plant. The nugs don't get huge and the node spacing could be free but it is great smoke. I would top it a couple of times and keep it close to the lights in veg to try and keep the nodes closer together. It stretches for the first 2-3 weeks in flower and can gain 1.5-2x it's height. Other phenos May differ but this is what I have experienced.

I've done it, and have coached others.

Seal up your LED lights in plastic, or remove them from the grow room. Sulfuric acid doesn't mix with circuit boards to well.

Put all your containers, clones, vegging plants and plants in early bloom into the room.
Get rH up to 90% and keep it there during the sulfur treatment.
Run the sulfur burner for 6 hours. Vent the room, put everything back, etc.

No more PM.

Your soil is going to be just fine. Don't worry about it.

Just wanted to follow up for anyone who might be interested. The final PCR quantification of the total yeast and mold test came back and showed that it was well under the acceptable limit. Limit is 10,000 cfu, mine was 4,000 cfu. Not sure who sets this limit - State, Lab certification boards, or ? Anyway, my values where such that dispensaries, at least here in Michigan, would accept the product.

Thanks to all who responded.

Hello Doc and fellow High Brix growers. I started a journal of my Doc Bud's kit grow and I would love it if you guys could join me and help me as I attempt to grow 4 strains at once. I usually just stick to two at a time because it seems easier. Link is in my signature.
Thanks guys and gals

Cheers

OK Doc or anyone else that has played with the OG drench, I have a couple strains that I've used it on but I'm looking for others input on timing and effects. I usually give it about week 6 on an 11 week strain, I really don't care for the "flop" so I'm wondering what everyone else is doing. I have a very very lemon tasting strain that I hit around week 6 and the flavors are nice and strong at finish. Another HB grower has this cut and on the last run he gave it as the last drench, the lemon flavor was completely gone. He still liked it but it was not what he was looking for. This is a delicate plant to begin with (HSO's 707 truthband) and the OG really makes it flop bad. Also I have an Amherst sour Diesel that I haven't quite figured out yet, it isn't really sour, not like I'm looking for. You can really taste the soil and its a wonderful strain but I would like to get the sour to come out. All input is welcome, thanks gang!

neiko, have you run the strain w/o the OG drench in suggested size, or larger, pots?

Try to finish with GE & BRIX/WA10X 3-5days before harvest.

I ran the 707 without an OG drench last run to avoid the "flop". It still has the lemon flavor but not as strong, I'm now convinced that strain needs it and I can live with the flop. I guess I'm wondering more about when everyone else gives it.

I usually always finish on GE with Brix/WA like you suggested, sometimes I'll play with the finishing drench on familiar strains. Some I like better finishing on Transplant but they always get the foliar 3-5 days before harvest.

can you run 1 early and 1 later than usual with w/the OG drench for that strain to compare? :)

I use the OG drench once or twice in place of GE in the earlier phases of bloom. But I also top dress with bloodmeal and epsoms at the same time. I think the WA, blood and epsoms combine to really kick up the terps.

This is some Dream Queen 4 weeks into flower. Its grown in home built soil and the left overs from Docs tea and foliar sprays. RH% is kept at 35% and temps at 67. I also foliar feed with raw milk and molasses.

I've just researched the raw milk and molasses. This is amazing.

When should I apply it in the grow process?
