Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Not sure what he meant about fan exactly tho, unless he meant an actual fan when I actually get it out n the grow room.

I didn't get this until now either. :hmmmm:

Fan leaf - I meant a spent fan leaf. :cheesygrinsmiley:

But if you're not growing right now, those are gonna be hard to come by. It's just cool to see, and it's a nice gauge for how your bins are doing. Sometimes it eats 'em within days, sometimes it takes more than a week. You can make adjustments. I have about 120 gallons of soil on hand, so when a bin comes up in rotation, I can heat it up, wet it down and toss a couple fans on top from my grooming every few days, to see how it's goin' in there. :slide:

Some of you guys were in Jamaica?! That's awesome. I would love to do that one day.

Wanted to let you all know thanks to Radogast my journal is it if the abandoned dungeon. Did my first Cat drench yesterday.

Now I understand. I definitely have a few weeks or months before I'm ready to toss some fans in there to check the soil. But I'm always learning something from you all. Thanks for the insight

Well after my education lesson, compliments of all you kind peeps, here's where I'm at. After waiting till signs of wilt appeared I rescue drenched on 2/8, distressed Tuesdays/Thursdays, and waited till 2/17 until they started to wilt. Mixed up 1oz GE AND 1.25tsp tea in 2 gal h2o and dunked them each 2/3 into the drench...soaked it all up. I also started the Brix spray on this same day (Friday) as 5 sets of leaves were showing. I'm holding the temps at 80*f lights on 74*f lights off RH 38-48% and co2 ppm 300-400 lights on.

The very tips are slightly yellowed but the plants are growing, smelling good.
From what I gather from my researching past threads, we are trying to grow a killer rootball here so when we transplant the plant has tons of stored energy to fruit.

Question - at what point should I upcan from the 1gal pots to the 7gal pots? Do any of you prune the tops to bush out the plants, and when would be a good time to do this?

Thanks for the help
DL

Hey Doc. I'm planning on growing some seeds that I got in Jamaica. they swear that it's the real Lambsbread, although I have my doubts. Do you think I will have to OG drench or wayahead since this should be a landrace strain? just wondering what your thoughts were. BTW, your lemon Paki and Tangi shut up every guy there that was trying to sell me weed. they almost got mad. some told me I wasn't supposed to bring my own with me like that. thanks for the quality bud my friend. made the week a LOT better.
Cheers Doc

Ok, I was jealous, now I'm getting pissed!  How come you guys organized a trip to Jamaica and didn't invite everyone??:rasta:
:allgood:

Alright. Now you've got some high brix signs. Good job on the recovery.

Keep doing what you're doing for a few more weeks at least. If you want to top, make sure the "tops" that are left after the cut have 5 bladed leaves. You might want to wait a week or so.

Having spent my career in the IT industry for 33 years, basically at ground zero, I was involved in many startups offering stock options.....you never knew what was going to happen; it was like the wild west....these companies came and went....I was also offered signing bonuses to jump from one to the other, which I did.....those that ended up with Microsoft were definitely in the right place at the right time....same with Apple...I was selling and supporting both companies, but Apple was for the schools or graphic designers back in the day....IBM was the definite defacto for business and what Microsoft focused on and won....

Fast forward to right now in the cannabis industry....it seems like deja vu....I have a current list of 230 companies that are involved in various aspects of the industry.....if you invested a minor amount in 2014, you could have watched $1000 turn into $600,000....very interesting, a once in a lifetime.....gawd, I love free enterprise.....this sent with my cynical rose colored glasses on.....:laughtwo:

Hey Doc. Quick question. I only used half a kit for my last grow. The other half has been cooking for close to 9 months. All I have done is make sure it is moist. Before I start my next grow, is there anything that you would advise me to do with this half? or should I just treat it as if it's only cooked for a month and rock on? just wondering.
Thanks Doc

I've definitely been looking into this. Read the Bloomberg report a few weeks back as well. I'm just so sketchy when it comes to penny stocks. I'm not sure who I would invest with. I was thinking more of the pharmaceutical side. Like ways of delivering CBDs to patients and such as I think theses companies stand a better chance of survival. But really I just don't know much about stocks at hand a point. I need more research and input.
